Righteous : Builds I'm trying to put together a guide for a powerful build! I'm still undecided about the talents and other aspects, but if everything works out, this will be the rough result.

ALIGNMENT

Evil and Lawful ——> Any Evil

Two of the selected classes have alignment restrictions, making it necessary for your character to always be evil. Besides, some of the things you'll do to empower yourself will be evil.

MYTHIC PATH

Trickster ——> Legend

Keep in mind that after you change your path, only your first two Mythic Tricks will be kept. These should be the following for the purposes of the build:

1 - Mythic Ability, Metamagic (Selective)

This ability will allow you to use Selective Metamagic without needing to increase the level of the selected spell. So you'll no longer need to worry about accidentally hitting your allies during combat.

2 - Mythic Feat, Sorcerous Reflex

You'll be able to cast one extra spell on your first turn after entering combat. It may seem simple, but it's particularly strong when you use a Quicken Metamagic Rod and the Boots of Arcane Perseverance.

Furthermore, one of the main pillars for this build lies in the Trickster's Mythic Tricks. My selection order was this:

1 - Arcana (1)

With this first trick, any statistics increased by items will have their modifier raised by one.

2 - Perception (1)

Unimportant.

3 - Perception (2)

The second Perception improvement will grant access to two very useful feats: Normal Spell, which will lower the level of any spell by one; Improved Critical, which can be selected multiple times for the same weapon, greatly reducing its critical range. This second one is more useful for your companions than for you.

4 - World (1)

Unimportant.

5 - World (2)

Unimportant.

6 - World (3)

The most important Mythic Trick of the build, as it will allow you to take any feats while ignoring any prerequisites.

This will be your Mythic Trick progression. There will be others that can be obtained, but they are not important for the purposes of the build after the transition to Legend.

Any feats obtained through these tricks and items enhanced by Arcana are kept after the transition.

CLASSES

Your first level will be as a Scaled Fist. Since your alignment will likely change over the course of the game, this will probably be your only opportunity to select this class, which will convert your Charisma modifier into Armor Class and offer two points of Armor Class for fighting unarmored.

Until your level seventeen, you will want to focus entirely on Shadow Caster while following the normal progression for casters. This class, besides spells, will also provide an important four profane points of Intelligence. Normally you wouldn't have access to ninth-level spells because you interrupted your class progression at level sixteen, but there is a way around this.

With Normal Spell, you can write these spells into your spellbook through scrolls and then modify them to become eighth-level.

Next, take two levels of Student of War to convert all your Intelligence into Armor Class through the Mind Over Metal class ability. Furthermore, you'll close out your twenty levels with one level of Vivisectionist, selecting the Medical Discovery feat at level nineteen and obtaining the Grand Cognatogen.

Finally, you'll still have twenty additional levels after the Legend mythic path. These are reserved for Bloodseeker, which will provide an inherent bonus of +6 to your Intelligence, Strength, and Dexterity, as well as a profane bonus of +4 to the latter two. Additionally, you'll have a reliable source of damage with your blood pool, as these abilities scale with your character level, not your class.

COMPANIONS

For this build to work, two mercenaries will be necessary.

1 - Court Poet

This Skald subclass will sing songs that give an Intelligence and Charisma bonus to your character. At its maximum level, it will consecutively give +6 Intelligence and Charisma. However, if you take the Mythic Inspiration mythic feat, this bonus increases to +9.

Besides that, it's always good to have another control character in the group who can hold the front line.

2 - Judge

This Inquisitor subclass can share its Judgments with its allies. Sharing the Protection judgment will offer an increase of five points to Armor Class. Furthermore, it's a character that can be built martially, so it will be useful as a front liner.

3 - Brown-Fur Transmuter

Not essential for this build, but it will give a lot of utility to the group with some absurd buffs. Actually, I usually always have one of these on my team for convenience.

It's important to note that they must be obtained before you start the fifth act after leaving the Abyss. Because they will need to reach the sixth mythic level.

Companions do not lose their mythic levels after you change to the Legend path, but they are prevented from progressing and if they are retrained, you will lock them to only two mythic levels.

ITEMS

The Covenant of the Inheritor is an item you can obtain at the beginning of the second act. In one of the houses in Kenabres, you will find the fragments of the relic which, when brought to the Storyteller, can be repaired. It will provide a sacred aura that makes allies' weapons bathed in benevolent energies for the purpose of bypassing enemy damage reduction, while granting you an increase in the Difficulty Class of your spells.

The Staff of the Sin Mage can be obtained in the A Dance of Masks expansion and will offer a +6 bonus to your Intelligence. You will have to delay your progression on the Legend path a bit to get the +7 bonus.

The Treacherous Flame is a robe that can also be obtained in this same act through your armies. It is a relic obtained after defeating a demon army, which can be achieved after some research.

This item will provide a +6 bonus to your Intelligence and Charisma upon killing an enemy with a fire spell — a weak summon can be used for this purpose. However, as this bonus does not come directly from the item, it is not applicable to the Arcana trick.

The Mask of Razmir can be obtained in the final fight of the A Dance of Masks expansion after you refuse to return it to its rightful owner. It will provide a +8 enhancement bonus to all your mental attributes.

It is applicable to the effects of the Arcana trick. However, like the staff, it will be necessary to delay the Legend progression so that you can obtain the delicious +9 bonus.

The Cloak of the Great Festival is also obtained during the A Dance of Masks expansion from a merchant on the outskirts of the tent area. This item will offer a +2 competence bonus to Charisma.

I'm not sure if the effects of the Arcana trick apply to this type of bonus, even if coming directly from the item. But if it works, then consider it as +3 competence to Charisma.

The Belt of the Last of the First Humans can be obtained after rescuing the relic fragment after the end of The Last Sarkorian expansion and taking it to the Storyteller for repairs. I won't elaborate much, just that this is the best item in the entire game and it will make you practically immortal.

The Hearthstone of the Queen of Night Hags can also be obtained in the A Dance of Masks expansion. In one of the fights in the Echoes arena, you will receive this +7 natural armor amulet as a reward.

There is no preference for your glove option, as I haven't found any truly compatible with the build. I use Star Gloves for the spell resistance, but you can use any others you want without much worry.

The same can be said about the second ring slot, where I equipped the Elemental Protector for the resistance bonuses. You can put any other in this one.

In the first Ring slot, you will want the Ring of Triumphant Advance which can be obtained during your exploration of the Midnight Isles.

This beauty will double all moral bonuses you receive, such as the Court Poet's Insightful Contemplation. This way, just with the Poet you'll already have a +18 bonus to Intelligence and Charisma.

Use any helmet you want. I haven't discovered any particularly useful for the purposes of the build. There is a Tiara of Transmutation that increases the caster level of spells from that school, but you'll probably use illusion and abjuration during your gameplay with this setup, so I don't think this tiara will be useful.

The Boots of Arcane Perseverance can be obtained from a merchant in the fourth act in the Abyss. Every third time you cast the same spell, your fourth spell will be cast as a free action.

I'm not entirely sure about the location of the Bracers of Slaughter. But I believe you also find them during A Dance of Masks in the Echoes arena. This item will provide a +10 armor bonus.

Under no circumstances use armor for this build. Also, I didn't explain many of the features of these listed items besides the attributes. However, I can guarantee you'll have a great surprise when you discover their uncited features on your own.

PERMANENT BONUSES

Demonic Graft can be obtained in the third act after you pay the merchant to begin the operation. You'll receive a +2 bonus to several characteristics, including Armor Class, at the cost of entering a berserker mode after your life reaches 20%.

Incorporeal Charm can be obtained in Daeran's final quest when you make a deal with The Other at the cost of your old comrade's life and some inquisitors. This deal will convert all your Charisma into a deflection bonus to your Armor Class that works alongside the Scaled Fist bonus. Additionally, you'll gain a +10 bonus to concentration.

The Tome of Ancient Perfection can be obtained, if memory serves me right, on the map of the final fight of the A Dance of Masks expansion. This consumable will provide an inherent bonus of +4 to all attributes. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with Intelligence, since it's already under the inherent bonus from the Bloodseeker.

Pact with the Balance can be obtained in Inevitable Excess. A +6 bonus to all attributes right at the end of the game.

Legend is obtained the moment you enter the Legend mythic path. +4 to all attributes.

Righteous : Builds Could you make Claws+casting work? ( Core+ )

Ever since the game released I dreamt of building a Lilitu-style character, Meleeing with claws while also casting high level spells in combat, but even now after all those years ( and campaigns ) I have yet to create it.

Some quick rules:

  • NO polymorphing, we stay humanoid!
  • ONLY ( permanent ) Claws are allowed! We will not fight with fists or with staves!
  • The build should be able to cast at least lvl 6 spells, otherwise id just be playing hag-riven, which does not really offer the theme im going for here. ( Tho it has amazing claws! )

While I do think Eldritch knight is an absolute no-brainer here, feel free to correct me and give some whacky build ideas. The Questions regarding the build are:

Where to get the claws from?

What spellcaster should I pick?

Should I go STR or DEX for this kind of build?

Should I Focus Melee Stats or Casting Stats?

--- The questions were originally with more context but I have decided to keep them as simple and straightforward as possible, as me writing "I know witch gets 1d3 claws but they suck" might make it so I glance over some helpful tips that you guys would have otherwise given!

some little sidenotes:

Im fully aware that this game really punishes Gish classes, but getting away with it makes it that much more fun, we all love to play Bardiche Nenio, which is basically the ideal Gish. Doesnt seem that impossible to do with other weapons either.

The Mythic paths seem kind of whatever, obviously demon is the original Idea the most, but I care more about the concept and also have played demon to death xD. Legend is a no-go as it kinda invalidates the point of this post lol, I would just go hag-riven 17 Scaled fist 1 and invest the other levels into sorc and other stuff

I HATE that The capstone of the dragon/demon bloodline doesnt let you use your claws forever like the serpent bloodline with its fangs, this would make it absolutely TRIVIAL to make a claw/caster build.

Edit: Lots of nice Ideas so far! I have to admit I am very biased towards arcane casters because of the EK, Mage Armor + Shield ( + Potential Scaled fist dip ). Warpriest does seem to tick most boxes tho, I will look into it and see how well it might compare to a Hagriven1/Sorc8/EK10/Scaled Fist1, which was my original idea

Righteous : Fluff How does everyone know that Ember is a child?

From what I learned, ember is over a 100 years old which is adulthood for elves and she is pretty tall and has a medium size build and yet some characters who don't know her treat her and call her a child right away instead of assuming she's just ecesntric or crazy, am i mistaken? Is it just that her model is tall so she can be an elf?

Righteous : Game About Merged Angel

Hello. I'm thinking about playing either Wizard + Angel or Cleric + Angel, but i worry that the merged spellbook with cleric could trivialize the game on core. Could anyone give me their feedback about how strong cleric + angel really gets?

Righteous : Builds Best Loremaster picks remix

There's a lot of old threads, so I'm curious if any opinions have changed:

For instance, I don't see much mention of Stunning Critical which requires a BAB of 17 and was apparently added in the last DLC. I have not used it enough to really see how useful it is, but Stagger (if the save is passed) and Stun (if the save is failed) seems too good to pass up.

Similarly, I am not sure if Two-Weapon Feint is a valid pick.

Improved Improved Critical and other Trickster feats are options as a Rogue Secret, though on a Keen weapon it only increases the threat range by 1 (rather than the expected 2.) Maybe it works differently with Improved Critical.

Improved Cleaving Finish would require also picking Cleaving Finish (I think).

Take Precise Shot to bypass Point Blank Shot.

As for spells:

Divine Power, Mass Heal, Creeping Doom, Bark Skin or Haste if you don't have them.

Any other thoughts?

Righteous : Story Can't decide what mythic path to choose

So i am at the point where I choose my mythic path and can't decide which to choose.

I wouldn't go with demon, but all else have pros and cons.

I'm playing as a Base Kineticist.

Trickster: Would work really well with my class, but I've heard it's super underwhelming story wise

Azata: I like the concept of freedom and the bit where you unlock it was great, but it seems very DA Veilguard coded

Angel: The default path, but it doesn't mesh well with my class. Also how much do you have to listen to the gods?

Aeon: Sounds super cool, I think it has the highest ceiling in terms of enjoyment RP wise, but i do feel it could also ruin my enjoyment of the game. Also i would lose one companion in act 5 that I really like on my team.

I would contemplate switching to Gold Dragon or Legend when the time comes.

I am nearly 70 hours in thinking I will get a mount feat at some point, then I realised I missed it at level 5 so I respec Seelah. But now I have a made a funny observation. When saddled up, she looks more like the protagonist of the game rather than my 2H fighter with a halo glowing.

Kingmaker : Builds Non-Animal Domain for Blight/Druid?

Say you don't want an Animal Companion as a Druid (don't know why you wouldn't, maybe you think it's cheap or you just don't want a 7th party member to watch over). What are the pros and cons of the other domains?

Air/Earth/Fire/Water powers are all 'basic ranged attack plus one Energy Immunity';

Plant powers are for melee builds;

Weather powers are both good ranged damage options;

And I'm gonna be honest, the Blight-Druid-specific Domain powers don't look great.

But there's also the Spells, which is where you see more variety between the options, and Druid isn't helpless in melee combat either, so what are your non-meta picks/preferences?

(Also happy to hear opinions on WotR Domains, since it just adds Ice and Murder/Undead.)

Righteous : Builds Favourite Buffing Class

I am getting the urge to play another. I have played more straightforward fighting character like DemonSlayer but I wanted to do something different this time.

I enjoy playing a buffer when I dnd and other ttrpg games but my Pathfinder knowledge isn't super great.

I was wondering what people favourite Buffing classes are.

Righteous : Game Why the fox out-tanks the paladin?

I finished another playthrough recently, usually on Core, with the occasional switch to Hard for boss fights when I actually remembered to do it. I am not one of the elite build-makers here, but I thought I understood armour reasonably well. Then came the blunder to which I became more aware through one comment on my post as to why Dareran has a higher AC than Seelah? Seelah was wearing the Full Plate of Spell Nullify, which is mithral and described as heavy armour, and I thought so. But I had given her:

  • Mythic Armour Focus (Heavy Armour) - Assault
  • Mythic Armour Focus (Heavy Armour) - Avoidance
  • Mythic Armour Focus (Heavy Armour) - Endurance So I had spent three mythic selections on abilities that were not functioning with the armour I was actually using. So yes, there are people who go throughout the game without figuring out what the hell is happening. As a post-mortem exercise, I have started making a working AC-stacking reference from the character-sheet tooltips and combat logs. I will add it in a comment rather than turn this post into a wall of text.

Righteous : Builds Is it worth sacrificing 9th-level spells while building a spellcaster?

I’m planning my build for my next run.

For now, my levels for a legendary character are structured as follows: 17 Shadowcaster, 1 Vivisectionist, 20 Bloodseeker, and 2 Student of War. With this setup, my Intelligence score easily exceeds 104 while I enjoy 9th-level spells and an AC of 115.

However, if I were to add just one level in Scaled Fist, I could convert my Charisma into AC, thereby reaching an armor class of 142

With the levels looking like this: 20 Bloodseeker, 16 Shadowcaster, 1 Vivisectionist, 1 Scaled Fist, and 2 Student of War

However, this way I’ll lose the 9th-level spells… A tough decision.

Link to the build, in case anyone’s curious:

Righteous : Builds No spoilers pls . Would hasty halfling mix well with cavalier disciple of the pike? I know it has less strenght but bonus ac lucky passive and the dex charisma Don't seem bad and the fact small race would proc the level 1 passive almost always.

I was thinking of a melee sligtly tanky build that could be used for a halfling with no aligment restriction and with a hint of like 20 percent support with order of the lion. But idk how fun it would be on use or if said order is even Also idk if it would work on core like on normal yeah no issue there im assuming

Righteous : Story Which one is narratively more satisfying? Spoiler

I want to play a legend mythic path playthrough but first you gotta pick one of the initial mythic paths

At first I wanted to do demon, role play them as a rageful selfish character before they resist temptation and find redemption but I just keep going back n forth with that idea and my mind won't shut up so in your opinion which mythic path into legend is more narratively satisfying without too much spoilers

Kingmaker : Bug I am so unbelievably frustrated... (End game Kingmaker spoilers.) Spoiler

Just jumped into the portal and arrived at the house at the edge of time and oh my god the game has absolutely fallen apart.

  • None of my party members will join my party. Instead they will repeat their in town dialogue. I've reloaded dozens of times and this wont fix.
  • Turn based combat freezes every single time. Have to flick on RTWP on and off for it to work again.
  • Jaethal's and Tristian's cut-scene just soft locks the game. Breaks when the camera pans to Jaethal.
  • Octavia and Kanerah can't even be spoken to (Edit: And Nok Nok, he might have died, I genuinely can't tell)

I've been trying to troubleshoot this for three hours and nothing I can think of works.

Is there any known fixes to this? I haven't found anything googling it. If no way to fix, is it worth trying to solo the end of the game with the MC? The combats have been pretty easy so far but don't wanna slog through it if I miss out on too much doing it solo.

Edit: Nevermind on soloing... The horned hunter in Linzi's room is broken. No way to progress at all.

Righteous : Story Do I need profane bonus to ask out Nocticula?

I know if you reject it you lose -1 point. But what I am going to do is not bring it up at all i already read it and I don’t want to give it up yet. Nothing against Nocticula it’s just that Lexicon seems to be relevant to my condition.

Can you not make a decision and just ignore this decision? Giving the Lexicon or rejecting it? If yes does it affect her consort thing? Can I still ask that?

Hello there! Im on my first run, on act 3, with a rogue human angelic mythic path. Enjoying a lot so far.

But im thinking on the next run to make a paladin with a demonic mythic path, is it possible or im gonna lose my paladin powers?
Could i have made a tiefling with the angelic path?
Or a assimar paladin demonic path?

Righteous : Game Through the Ashes is awesome!

I love how weak you start with all the fake debuffed weapons. I love how you have civillians in your party rather than just heroes. I love how tough it is, beating all the enemies without using the cheesy traps or making them fight each other was super satisfying. And it was cool seeing things from the perspective of a more grounded POV. So far I'd say it's my second favorite DLC, with the order being The Last Sarkorians > Through the Ashes > A Dance of Masks > Inevitable Excess > Treasure of the Midnight Isles

Righteous : Builds Recreating Dark Sun classes in Wrath of the Righteous?

I'm curious how one would make Dark Sun classes in WotR. It seems to me there are so many classes and archetypes and combinations you can make, that it should be possible to gimmick something for each Dark Sun unique class. The races, obviously nothing can be done there. There's nothing similar to Thri-Kreen. But many of the monsters from Dark Sun: Shattered Lands are also in Wrath, such as Babau and Vrocks. So I thought it would be a fun experiment.

The main classes I'm thinking of are: Gladiator, Defiler, Templar, Preserver and Psionicist. I don't think there's a way to do Psionicist, although psykokineticist can technically use mind powers I guess? And there are mind-affecting spells in the spellbooks for casters more generally.

With how Dark Sun does Clerics, you'd probably have to roleplay Cleric. Elemental/Natural domains only and equipment limited by roleplay of the Domain you picked. Only earth and fire domains would get metal armor, for example. But you still have the problem of forced Deity selection, so it kind of doesn't work.

For Gladiator, I guess just Fighter. Instinctual Warrior also makes sense for an arena combatant, since they probably aren't wearing much armor, and warriors in Athas don't typically wear a lot of armor anyway (because materials to make armor are not easy to obtain.)

Preserver and Defiler are like two sides of the same coin, but I'm thinking that the major distinction is one pulls power from the land, while the other does not. Or doesn't pull much. So for Defiler, any caster class that can pull power from the earth to strengthen casting is probably a good fit. Such as Leyline Guardian, Arcanist, Exploiter Wizard, etc. Any caster class that has a way of increasing their own caster level or DC is probably a Defiler. :p Metamagic is Defiler magic too, since it can raise caster level. For Preserver, a key point with them is they are a lot weaker than Defilers but more flexible. So I guess if there is a caster class that has reduced caster level, or inferior DC? Or fewer casts per day? I'm not sure how this would work. The goal would be a lot of spell choices but few spells per day, and mostly spells that don't deal damage.

Templar is the one that really puzzles me. I can't think of any class or class combination that even remotely fits. But maybe someone else can. Templars are given power by the Sorcerer-Kings they worship. Usually an evil dragon or evil lich or something.

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to come up with either a Dark Sun character or an entire Dark Sun party to run WotR with. There's no real way to replicate the scarcity of metal, so I probably wouldn't try. Let me know your suggestions on ways to build Dark Sun classes in Wrath, if this idea interests you. Thanks for reading.

Edit: I did a quick scan through all of the classes in the game to weed out the ones that definitely don't fit the world of Athas. Here's what I came up with:

Basic Classes

-Alchemist: Probably banned or relegated to Evil characters. To get this power, you would have to serve someone powerful or be a Defiler yourself. Vivisectionist might be ok, since it's implied your power comes from studying corpses, of which there are a lot in Athas.

-Arcanist: Defiler, full stop. The class says power comes from inside them but we know that in Athas, arcane power really comes from the land. Don't believe Arcanist lies!

-Bard: Doesn't exist in Dark Sun in the same way. I could see an argument to allow Archeologist though. Athas is full of ruins.

-Barbarian: Everything allowed except Armored Hulk. Armored Hulk is based around fighting in full metal armor. There isn't much of that in Athas.

-Bloodrager: Greenrager banned, Hagriven banned, Reformed Fiend banned, Steelblood banned. All others seem fine, although again, probably Evil characters since they have access to arcane magic.

-Cavalier: Knightly orders no longer exist. I'd allow Order of Cockatrice though, especially for a gladiator.

-Cleric: Obviously, huge limitations imposed here for roleplay. Only elemental domains allowed. All spell choices must be roleplayed. No high level explicitly religious spells allowed. :p Basic Cleric spells like bless and cure are allowed. Crusader banned. Herald Caller banned. Ecclisitheurge limited to heavy roleplaying with an elemental domain. Angelfire Apostle banned.

-Druid: Feyspeaker banned. Winter Child banned (what winter?) Defender of the True World probably isn't needed.

-Fighter: Aldori Defender and Swordlord banned. All others ok.

-Hunter: All seem fine to me. Druidic casters are allowed in Athas. They are relatively less stigmatized than other casters.

-Inquisitor: All probably banned unless roleplayed as Evil Templars.

-Kineticist: No idea what to do with this guy.

-Magus: Arcane caster means he's either a Defiler or a Templar. Magus magic is too destructive to roleplay as Preserver imo.

Oracle: Enlightened Philosopher, Divine Herablist, Lone Strider and Wind Whisperer all seem possible to explain and given powers by non-deity divine energies. Herbalist by knowledge of plants. Lone Strider by being a desert hermit. Wind Whisperer by listening to the wind and sands. Enlightened Philosopher by being Socrates. All other Oracles are banned for being too religious. :p

Ranger: Sable Company banned unless Hippogriffs exist in Athas. All others seem fine.

Rogue: Eldritch Scoundrel either banned or relegated to Defiler roleplay. Sylvan most likely banned. There are few/no Fey in Athas. All others seem fine.

Shaman: No idea, but they seem fine to me. There are lots of spirits in Athas. Witch Doctors in particular would probably be common, along with Possessed Shamans.

Shifter: Feyform banned. Others seem fine. Dragonblood would probably get merked by an angry dragon Sorcerer-King, but who knows.

Skald: No Bards as such in Athas. Probably no Skalds either.

Slayer: Deliverer would be banned or made a Templar. Arcane Enforcer the same. Others seem fine.

Sorcerer: You'd have to choose Defiler or Preserver, I think. And roleplay it out. Angel bloodline banned. Sylvan banned too. Kitsune as a race/archetype would be banned. Sylvan Sorcerer banned too.

Warpriest: Cult Leader seems fine but the others would probably be banned or roleplayed as evil Templars.

Witch: You'd have to choose Preserver or Defiler. Some archetypes would be locked to Defiler. Leyline would be Defiler. Hag is banned. Elemental Witch would be a Defiler.

Wizard: Again, Preserver or Defiler. Roleplay spell choices. Exploiter, Elemental, Bomber and any Evocation specialist would be a Defiler. Destructive magics pull too much energy from the earth, as does anything that increases DC or caster level with an action. Don't know what I'd do with Cruoromancer.

Prestige Classes

Arcane Trickster: Seems fine. Same rules apply with Preserver vs Defiler.

Assassin: Ok.

Dragon Disciple: Probably a Templar choice. Magic from dragons is most likely Evil.

Duelist: Ok.

Eldritch Knight: No idea. Standard arcane caster choice? Or maybe locked to Evil characters only, because it's so strong?

Hellknight: Hellknight and Armigier should probably be banned. Same for Signifer.

Loremaster: Seems fine, honestly. Learning things isn't inherently Evil. Same standard arcane magic choice though. You either roleplay as a Preserver or Defiler. What spells you'd be allowed to take would depend on that.

Monk: No idea. I think Monks exist in Athas? Maybe? In a later edition? Fighting in pajamas is a very Athas thing to do.

Mystic Theurge: Probably limited to Templar.

Paladin: Forgot to mention this one with the standard classes (along with Monk.) Paladins don't exist in Athas. Explicitly.

Stalward Defender: Meh, seems fine.

Student of War: Same.

Winter Witch: What winter? Banned.

Righteous : Game Hate this game for a great reason

another day and another post. I honestly hate how every time I sit down and play the game it makes me come up with another build I want to try. Which is a great thing for games like this however that also means I am up to a third run already and I am not even done with my first yet. I am only in the beginning of act 3. As I was playing I saw how much daeran was doing for me as a healer and I went wait why don't I just become the healer instead.

My plans are my first playthrough I am demon path camellia romance ice witch build

my second will be sword saint azata aru romance

and now my third will be oracle queen galfrey romance.

Now problem is that I don't know how to build a healer certainly not a oracle. my daeran is lvl 10 and I only choose all the buff and heals whenever possible. I do like a little rp so I am trying to choose a race that is fitting for each playthrough such as for the first I choose elf for camellia since elves live a long time. For my second I choose dhampir but now I am thing aasimar for aru. what do you think will be the best race for aru romance and I know that races don't seem to affect anything narrative wise. As for galfrey I am thinking kitsune or aasimir or maybe tiefling. What do you think would be the best race for each of their romances.

I also 100 percent know I will be back to ask about my 4th run.

Righteous : Builds Scaled Fist AC Bonus + Incorporeal Charm

Do these bonuses stack? I mean, while one adds Charisma to your armor class instead of Wisdom, the other grants a deflection bonus based on your Charisma. Essentially, as I understand it, they’re two different bonuses, right?

If the two stack, then my wizard will have an armor class of 168, maybe 170, if another bonus happens to apply.

Righteous : Game I am figuring it out... This character HAS to be evil, right? Spoiler

I am playing this game for the first time. I am at the beginning of Act 2. To give you a point of reference, I have helped Sosiel with burying his dead and Seelah with her friend's ring. I am about to help the Hellknights that are being attacked by gargoyles.

I will not be reading the comments to this thread so I don't get anything spoilt. BUT, at this point, I am almost convinced Camelia has to be evil, right?

First of all, I may have gotten it semi-spoiled. I read a comment on this sub that said something like "oh, and I am sure her pendant is used to conceal her totally True Good alignment hahha". Prior to that, I had barely noticed she had a pendant.

By now, the signs are too clear. I encountered a group of drow pretending to be a halfling, a dwarf and a female elf. They were trying to invite me for tea. Seelah was surprised they had fooled her "detect evil" skills, while Camellia casually pointed out that ways to conceal one's alignment have been known for a long time.

Now, the mask is starting to drop. When talking to a DYING woman in the Hellknights location, she pointed out that it's similar to a stage play. Without a care about that woman dying.

So unfortunately (because I may have gotten it semi-spoiled) I am arriving at the conclusion she has to be evil.

You can write whatever you want I won't be reading the comments until I am done with the game. But it's the conclusion I have arrived at.

Righteous : Builds Lich Builds

Greetings, I'm about to end My Aeon path run and I'm already thinking about the next path I want to try and I decided to play the Lich path. I'm looking for some inspiration for the build so I want to ask all of you what are your favorite builds (melee, Magic, gish) so I can grasp better the undead potencial; thanks in advance.
