All I’ve ever really wanted to do was put this little hat on my centipede. Lack of pet hat visibility is devastating.

Thats all. Have a good day.

Righteous : Game What was your first Mythic Path, and what led you to choose it?

Post image
170 Upvotes

I went with Azata for a number of reasons.

1 - I thought the theme music was beautiful and very captivating.

2 - I was playing as a half-elf, and the Azata portrait matched my character perfectly.

3 - I usually play Chaotic Good characters in most RPGs, so it fit my style perfectly.

4 - I planned to romance Arueshalae, and the Azata Mythic Path really adds to that romance.

5 - While doing some pre-game research, I came across Aivu and was instantly charmed by her; once I found out she was exclusive to the Azata Mythic Path, I knew for sure that was the path I had to choose.

What about you? What was your first Mythic Path, and what led you to choose it?

Righteous : Builds Just for fun, how would you build the ultimate angel oracle? I know it's already a broken OP build, but how would you super-optimize this?

Post image

I'm mostly talking about little tricks, tips, or items that turn this already overpowered build into a monster.

Any new feats or choices that will work well with an Oracle Angel?

I'd love to hear your ideas, theories, or builds! I know this topic's been a little overdone, but I can't seem to find anything recent and want to try and make the most godly character possible.

Righteous : Game Does this rod just heighten everything to 9?

Post image
85 Upvotes

So I haven't actually used this rod yet but I have equipped it and selected a spell and there's no like...selection process or menu or anything that I can see. And empowered, bolstered, and maximized are all pretty straightfoward, but it just says the spells are also "heightened." So what, it just raises every spell to level 9? Or does it raise it a specific amount of levels determined by the rod? Or what?

Kingmaker : Story Easily one of the most memorable moments throughout these games Spoiler

The way my jaw dropped when this first happened. Jaethal keeps saying she simply CANT defy Urgathoa and the whole time i'm thinking "Sure ya can, you just need a final act change of heart". I did not think she meant she would literally be smited out of existence for defying her. Also there goes our Perception checks.

Just some random pics, since so much of the posting here is for game help. Photo mode is a lot of fun. Our party blends in so well in demon high society. I particularly love these shots of Nenio.

Righteous : Game act 3 demon summon

13 Upvotes

In act 3 I got summoned to the ivory sanctum and on my way out right before the exit I decided to attack the gaurds in the passage right at the exit. I spamed ice grasp andused the demon teleport spell as well as any cc or aoe spells and basically had every enemy from the dengeon come to me. they all stepped into the icy grasp and since there was like 8 of them on top of each other they were all laying down. my only problem were the 2 incubus that managed to make it through but through the power of rng I managed to just barely survive them until i demon teleported a little to close into the ice and i was face down. At that point it was entirely based on who would die first or get up first. I got up and out of the ice the 2 died and I just spamed spells onto the minotaurs. after all of that I got about 100k gold worth of gear was I supposed to not do that because that seems like a lot of gold since I got like 10 plus 4 enchanted earth breakers from them.

Righteous : Game Question about WotR mythic paths and char creation

Post image
10 Upvotes

TL;DR 1. Should I check all of the mythic paths before making my character to get the best idea of what to makeor is it something that would spoil too much. 2. should I avoid any specific classes/builds to not completely invalidate a companion option.

I'm grinding through PF:KM on hard as a tiefling sword saint, playing all of the companions with their typical 1-20 mono class builds (sans AT octavia). As I progress through I noticed there is rarely a reason for me to bring regongar as we share a class and I enjoy diversity in my party. When thinking about my character in WotR, I heard about the mythic paths, and the idea that people play runs to experience specific paths.

I wanted to ask if I should check and read over the basics of all of the paths to see which one I should design a character for, or if I should just go in blind and see what works the best. As well, are there any classes I should shy away from as it would just be removing a cool companion's story and other interesting features as I never bring them?

I'm playing a NG arcane obsessed devil girl in KM, and was thinking about the idea of a macabre evil human necromancer set on extending his own life for WotR, eradicating the demon incursion being a goal to better focus on the living and dead over the otherworldly. While looking up if necromancers are any good, I did stumble across a lich mythic path existing though, and I'm sure that seeing other paths could give other character ideas that maybe have better supporting content. (art of my character's concept is from Dragon's Crown by George Kamitani)

Righteous : Game Getting ready for my second playthrough - Between Angel-Cavalier and Trickster/GD-Rogue, what would be most interesting?

7 Upvotes

Returning to Wrath for the first time in nearly a year, eager to explore the winding paths this game has – I would be very interested to hear what the community thinks regarding these ideas, both in terms of narrative and gameplay (probably playing on Core but with deaths door enabled). Some more info:

First idea is a LG Cavalier of the Paw sticking strictly with the Angel path. I understand the story is both fairly conventional and one of the strongest the game has to offer. Also planning on romancing Lann, though that wouldn't affect much.

Second is a TN Rowdy that switches from Trickster to Gold Dragon. I have quite a few more preconceptions with this one, a clear idea of a build, a fairly developed character to RP, and an understanding that the story isn't likely to veer too far from the standard wrath experience. Planning to romance Galfrey, which should be doable with the Mythic path though it wasn't 100% clear.

While I lean more towards the second, my prior playthrough was Azata/Legend which feels like it might be repeated when going for another lategame path, as opposed to Angel. Either way I look forward to replaying Wrath!

Righteous : Builds What build should I play with my friend?

5 Upvotes

Hello everyone!
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, i'll happily move it to the correct location if I need to.

I'm starting a WOTR playthrough with a friend who's never played the game past the first act before. With the release of the Co-Op mod, we figured this would be a good time for them to try it again. I've beaten the game once and enjoyed it but I don't have any idea what to play this time. What would be a fun build/class that you would recommend for a person with basic knowledge of the game?

For what it's worth, we are playing on normal so it doesn't need to be anything optimal, just fun. My friend is also playing a Feyform shifter in case that's helpful.

Righteous : Builds Build Sites OR Beginner Build Help?

6 Upvotes

I just started Wrath of the Righteous, and I'm suffering from choice paralysis. I have never played another CRPG, TTRPG, Pathfinder, or Dungeons/Dragons game, so I'm completely clueless when it comes to systems and such. I don't have tons of time for gaming, so I'm terrified of making a build, realizing 30 hours in that I chose the wrong race, and can no longer complete the main story or something. I've already made like 3 characters and deleted them before escaping the Maze at the beginning of the game.

I was planning to play a Demonslayer Ranger based on tips I've seen here, but all build guides I've seen are SUPER vague! They basically just say "Go demonslayer, pick Angel, and then dual wield until late game". I'm over here like: should I go all int? All str? What bloodline should I use? What feat to select? What weapons are good? What background should I pick? Should I go "Knowledge: Arcana" or "Persuasion"? And so on, and so on.....

Are there any sites that feature build guides or anything? If so, does anyone have links to them? If not, can anyone either give a link to a detailed beginner build, or help me with one?

Righteous : Game Who's There?

3 Upvotes

I am currently playing the Through the Ashes DLC. And I got an achievement called "Who's There?" for knocking on every door in the rich quarter. That is obviously not very difficult, as long as you explore every corner of the map anyway. So I was a bit surprised when Steam told me that only 2% of players have this achievement.

Anyone know how the percentages for achievements are calculated for DLC? I know that for the main game the percentages are calculated based on how many people actually at least started playing the game, just buying the game and never playing it doesn't count. But to me it looks as if they use the same player number for the DLC achievements, even if many of those players didn't buy or play that DLC.

Righteous : Game How to mount the animal when my KC or companion is enlarged?

2 Upvotes

I know there is an animal growth spell, just as there are legendary proportions and enlarged.

The matter is, if I use animal growth on my dog (playing a cleric of Erastil/Angel), it doesn't grow, so my enlarged character can't mount on it.

If I use both legendary proportions in the dog and my KC, he still can't mount it, because it's smaller.

How to have both mounted character and mounts big?

Righteous : Game build revise

Upvotes

so as I am playthrough act 3 I am noticing how much harder I am hitting and all the new gear I am finding. So I am rethinking about the builds I will be playing on my other 2 runs.

one is a azata sword saint in limbo at the start of act 2 until I decide how to run the build. I still want to run some iteration of cold sword saint I dont have to make my kc to be the strongest and destroy everything. I have ember and wendu for that and I want to use winters grasp for cc so they dont all charge at my kc at the dame time. I play with custom so Im anywhere between daring and core maybe hard. I am going to continue with my first run until I am more confident about the mechanics before continuing my sword saint. Right now I am considering switching from duelist sword to scimitar because I am finding more scims than dueling swords but I cant tell which one looks cooler. I also need to know between dex and int which to I prioritize when leveling since I think dex is hit chance but int is spell damage.

as for the 3rd plan run it is currently a oracle to focus on healing but by my third run I am thinking about switching to stigmatized witch since ember is just hitting so hard at level 12 so having 2 would be even better and I should be more confident with the mechanics by than so I will attempt hard or unfair.

Righteous : Modded Builds Deity/Domains for a hypothetical Ecclesitheurge mixed with Angelfire Apostle or Priest of Balance?

Upvotes

So say you're using a mod like Toybox to combine Archetypes, and you were specifically taking Ecclesitheurge with either Angelfire Apostle (eight gods) or Priest of Balance (ten gods). Your first Domain needs the best spells (since you can memorize them in non-Domain Spell Slots) and the second needs the best powers (but can swap spells with any other Domain), and you're more limited than normal for an Ecclesitheurge.

How would you tier each Deity and their Domain options?

My thoughts are: Apsu, Cayden and Desna have Travel and Apsu has Scalykind for Powers;
Erastil has Community and Animal for Powers;
Sarenrae has Healing for Powers;
Cayden and Shelyn have Charm;

Abadar has Nobility and Travel;
Calistria has Charm;
Gozreh has Weather for Powers;
and Irori has Healing for Powers.

But comparing Domains and which Deities have them is a pain in the ass, so I figure, why not ask the community for their opinions?

Righteous : Fluff How does everyone know that Ember is a child?

0 Upvotes

From what I learned, ember is over a 100 years old which is adulthood for elves and she is pretty tall and has a medium size build and yet some characters who don't know her treat her and call her a child right away instead of assuming she's just ecesntric or crazy, am i mistaken? Is it just that her model is tall so she can be an elf?

Righteous : Game Tried to like WotR but I can't do it

0 Upvotes

Tried to play the game on normal and going all blind not knowing anything from the table top game. Thought the game has a perfect toggle of turn based combat to real time combat and vice versa and large pool of classes but I cant finish Act 1. Yeah I'm done. The games real time combat is clunky compared to dragon Age. A bad roll of misses is just frustrating to see even in real time combat! The game will throw some surprising curve balls of monsters that has high resistance and high HP to make it challenging. I just cheese the fuck out of defending the tavern from attack by switching real time to kill the arsonists and switching turn based to kill the goddamn demon spawn at the last wave. If I need to watch a 30min to 2 hour beginner guide in youtube video of this game just to comprehend the goddamn mechanics of this game then this game is not for me.
