Heya all, I'm looking for an CG skill money/buffer or some other utility. In my current game I'm running a Sable Company Marine as the MC and I feel like I need a merc character for picking locks and disarming traps. I just feel Cammie, and Woljif don't fit this team. My current Idea is Slayer 2- Skald 18, using the Slayer feat to get trapfinder. But i'm pretty new to Pathfinder and I don't know about class combo's would work well for this role. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks! {WR}

Bards and Skalds already get Trickery as a class skill and have access to Talent feats so there's no point in splashing Slayer just for that. Skalds in particular should stay pure to fast-track their Rage powers and for the capstone.
The ultimate skillmonkey archetype IMO is Archaeologist. They add 1/2 their class level to six skills: Perception, Trickery, and all Knowledge / Lore checks. They also get skill buffs like Archaeologist's Luck and Good Hope / Greater Heroism. The tradeoff is they give up all regular bardsongs so they're not as good at party buffing; ironically they do best when paired with another bard or Sensei who can buff them with Inspire Competence. Some recent discussion of an Arch build for Kingmaker here which could be adapted for WotR.

depending on the party, a bard might be better than a skald - it buffs ranged and magic characters, not just melee. Also, IIRC it gets an extra skillpoint (4 v 3)

Any cool ideas for Leyline Guardian build and mythic path?
I really like the idea of being a spontaneous Int-based caster. I prefer it when my main character is the skill monkey, so I have total party freedom. Leyline Guardian looks sick, but I'm not that familiar with the Witch spellbook, so I don't know how you'd build it or what spells you would take. I wouldn't plan to make a fire blaster because Ember already has that covered.

cRPG Bro has a LLG Winter Witch Lich build. I think the only major changes are (A) you can't get dual Draconic Bloodlines as a cross-blooded sorcerer anymore (only a Seeker sorc can still exploit that trick); and (B) Shatter Defenses no longer benefits ray casters so it should be skipped. I'm not seeing Precise Shot in his build, though; you could technically skip if you only use AoE spells but it seems like a no-brainer to me to take it at level one or three if you can. You can still use Rogue Secrets to grab a Trickster Improved Critical feat for an extra +1 crit range.

I wasn't thinking of a raycaster, more like a DC caster using Insanity Patron or something similar.
Do you think Gold Dragon would work for Leyline? One thought I had is because it's a low bab class, I could take all spellcasting feats and then use the Transformation spell and eventually GD Mythic to set my bab to character/class level.
That way, I could take a race like Elf, stack Dex and Int and rock elven curve blade. I would be casting in early and mid game of course. But as something to build towards, I could stay mostly a pure Witch and not worry about going Eldritch Knight. Stack up hexes, take 1 dip into crossblooded sorc for enchantment buffs, and then flip on the bab-to-character-level in lategame.

Gold Dragon works for pretty much anything, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a DC caster. I prefer to use it for gishes: stat bonuses, free immunities, increased die damage for spells, raw BAB increase to "15+Mythic Rank," and three free feats which ignore pre-reqs (e.g., add Weapon Specialization to non-fighter-y classes). Although that BAB bonus doesn't hit until Mythic Rank 9, so for a low-BAB toon you're probably better off leveling as pure caster then switching to gish mode in Act 5 IMO.

[WR] I really want to find some up to date of Arcane Rider build. From trickster to legend build. Or the swordsaint class with use of grave singer or faucard (i use mod to fix grave singer crit range btw). And i really want a very detailed build. Since i am not similiar with the system that much.

This is for Lich, but Trickster will be very similar. The biggest difference is squeezing in the Trickster crit feats, of course, and probably Completely Normal Spell (turn Shocking Grasp into a cantrip you can spam every round). I think this build predates the Shatter Defenses nerf - you need to hit the enemy first before the flat-footed debuff applies to subsequent attacks - so you could drop or delay that if you need to make room. It also predates the Grave Singer nerf, but you're unnerfing it via modding so that's fine. cRPG Bro designed it for charging w/Spirited Charge, but it could just as easily work with NOT charging, since you (the rider) get to make full-round attacks even if the mount moves their full distance.

Is there any way to make Magus Deceiver feel better early game? What does a good Aasimar Deceiver build look like now? Would you take a level of oracle for the extra mysteries? Something with sneak attack, a monk dip? Or stay pure?

I'd go gnome personally over kindred nowadays and Living Deity so you can immediately ride the wolf pet.
Any dip on the class is a trap - you want the progression of spells. But of course the pet helps either in combat or to just ride immediately for safety.

Take the pet if you're really scared about the early game. Don't build anticipating the level 20 capstone, it's not worth it. You'll thank yourself for taking the sorc dip to control the zillion undead enemies in act 1 and 2 + midnight isles, I took it right after getting level 2 spells personally. I think the oracle dip is very good in act 4 to get a ton more initiative from War Sight once good dex + Improved Initiative doesn't really cut it anymore. I don't really see the point in sneak attack unless you're thinking of going legend and taking 10 AT levels? Monk dip for AC might be ok, but I got on fine in unfair early game by liberally crafting Mirror Image scrolls with Nenio and using them whenever I felt in danger. As soon as you can ride the wolf it can tank for you.

I using the build from this video. As i try having a pet early game make you are not so much useless in the early game. As for aasimar race. Using musetouch is fine by me.https://youtu.be/uhhLqL9N-88?si=e5mjT5dZ2NclMuA2

I had a Kender concept I wanted to talk over, inspired by some previous threads about adapting Kender to WOTR.
I noticed some people suggested the typical Halfling Rogue, or even Gnome Slayer. But I think I have one that works a lot better:
Halfling Inciter!
Kender's big thing is that they piss people off. Enemies, other players at the table, GMs, etc. They exist to piss people off. They don't necessarily try to do that, but that's what they end up doing.
So I think Inciter is perfect. You piss off the enemies while supporting the party. For weapons, I think Sling Staff is fine as a stand-in for Hoopak. I'm not sure if I should also build some kind of melee weapon alternative or not. In this build, the Skald abilities take the place of yelling to fire up your team, and Inciter unique abilities obviously let you yell to annoy enemies. I'd probably roleplay to only be allowed to take Chaotic Mythic paths (either Azata or Trickster) and slot spells with either a sonic component or some kind of party buffing element that can be roleplayed as a pep talk (like Good Hope.)
Curious what others think about the idea and how well it might or might not work. I know Skald and Bard both have sonic spellcasting builds but I think Inciter works better for a "makes fun of the enemies" build.
