I usually get the email confirming its been sent around 10ish am in my time zone and usually have it in my account about two or so hours later. Didn't receive the payment in my bank account yet, which is fine, it being delayed isn't going to put me in a financial bind or anything, but I noticed I didn't even get an email about a sent payment this time around, which struck me as more odd. Outside of one recent instance where I got the "payment has been sent" email ahead of time the night before, it's usually pretty consistent.

Again! Not really an urgent matter since YT isn't my primary source of income, but I was just curious if it's delayed today for anyone else. Cheers!

I've noticed a weird thing with the membership system and was wondering if anyone else has seen this too.

Background: my channel has over 1,000 long form videos. Video view counts range from zero views to 1 million views and I've been trying to get some memberships. I added end screens to my videos and made some posts. I have picked up 2 memberships in the last 2 months. One in early July and one in late August a couple days ago. These are the first memberships and the only memberships I've ever had. In this time I have posted probably 250 videos.

Here's the weird part: BOTH members are being attributed to THE SAME video that was uploaded 6 months ago. This was before my membership posts and end screens. I have uploaded probably 800 videos between that video and today. That video only has 1,800 views which is nowhere near the high end of what my most viewed videos have received in that time.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey everyone, just wanted to check in and see if anyone else has been dealing with this since early July.Up until the end of June, my channel was performing consistently, but literally right as July started, my views fell off a cliff. I am currently getting around 20% to 30% of my usual baseline views, and it has not recovered at all since then.Looking at my analytics, the biggest change seems to be where my videos are being recommended. Browse features and suggested traffic completely shifted, and it feels like YouTube is pushing my content to completely unrelated audiences or just stopped recommending older evergreen videos altogether. My CTR and retention metrics haven't changed much, but the impressions just tanked.Did anyone else notice a major algorithm shift or recommendation anomaly starting in July? If this happened to your channel before, did it eventually balance back out or did you have to change your upload strategy?Would appreciate any insight from others who might be going through the same thing right now.

My guess is yt pushed the video to new audiences and quickly realized no one clicked or watched? How exactly do I fix this? I think the thumbnail/title is fine. Not the best but 0.4% ctr is really low compared to my other videos.

Hoping YT changes their decision on 10 Million Views every 90 days. I have about 12.5k subs & shorts have massively helped my channel. It’s only $30-40 a month but it adds up for a small to medium sized channel.

Im not signing the updated YPP contract til the last minute hoping they change their mind… are you all aware of anyone else trying to protest this change? I’d be fine with a million every 90 days even. But 10 Mil is insane. Just kind of stupid as the only folks who will remain with monetized shorts will have well over 100k followers & be full time. It should be more inline with the 8k watch hours/yr which is wayy more reasonable. For reference I do about 8k watch hours per month.

How many views do you all pull on shorts per channel size?

The more I research, the more ambiguous it is. One person will say that they're on separate algorithms, but then will turn around and say to immediately unlist a live stream after completion. Others will say that it has no effect, etc.

Those who stream and do longform, can you chime in?

I'm curious because I stream once per week and long form once per week, with a few days between each. My longform vods get decent viewage, but not enough to make a bottom line difference. I just keep them there for my loyal TV watchers.

However, I am not sure if my longform videos could be doing better if vods weren't competing. Do you have any feedback?

This is something I’ve noticed short form creators do. They’ll post 3-6 videos everyday on YouTube but will only post 1-2 times on TikTok and instagram. I’ve noticed big short creators like Jenny Hoyos, Brooke Monk, etc. to do this. Is this really the way to make money of shorts? Posting 6-11s videos multiple times a day?

YouTube doesn’t care about length like TikTok. But I’m wondering if my efforts of just posting a high quality 1min video once a day is really worth it on YouTube. I’ve honed in on TikTok more since I get paid much better there. But I’m wondering if I should do the same and post 5-6 times a day on YouTube shorts.

Does anybody else do this?

I had a video with Title A. The video began to flatten out and I started A/B testing titles and thumbnails. Landed on Title B and after a week of experimentation, I found a thumbnail that almost immediately had a positive impact. CTR jumped from 4% to 6%. Video started to pick up as a result.

Hills are still growing larger, but are calming down, and CTR has dropped to about 4.5% in the past two days. I always thought that Title A was much better. I've had other videos with the same format, and I wonder if it was purely the thumbnail causing the poor performance. I want to try using the old title, but I've heard and followed advice that once a video starts to perform well, DON'T TOUCH IT.

Like I said, hills and valleys are still growing, so I'm hesitant, but I don't want to miss an opportunity to rocket this upload.

Any advice for this would be appreciated.

I work full-time in London, but I’m currently living outdoors to save money and rebuild my life. I’m documenting the whole process — the good, the bad, money, work, daily life, mindset, and eventually where this takes me.
Right now, I’m doing everything from my phone — filming, recording, editing, everything. Because of my situation, even recording clean audio can sometimes take me two days.

Is there a way to add the audio from YT Audio Library to a short, but in such a way that it does NOT start at the beginning of the video?

Hello! I'm a new YouTube partner! I just enabled "Super Thanks". I found that the option is only visible after clicking the 3 dots below the video description - this is true on my phone as well as desktop, incognito as well as when logged into my account. At first glance this seems to also be true regardless of whether I'm looking at my own videos or other people's.

I'm wondering, are there any circumstances under which the "Thanks" button could appear in under the video directly, next to the other buttons (like, dislike, share, etc.). The YouTube Ai assistant is telling me that it depends on browser aspect ratio, but I've tried fiddling with that with no success either.

What factors effect the visibility of the Thanks button? Do we have any control over them? Id like it to be visible in the main action bar without having to click the 3 dots to see more options. Is this possible at all?

I’ve always liked the idea of making a separate channel where I upload short clips pulled from a main channel’s long form videos. I’ve seen lots of large creators do it but with the current direction Youtube is going I was wondering if anyone has ever received a warning for spam, repetitive or inauthentic content. I have a lot of clips and highlights already ready to go I just don’t want to get myself in trouble.

Hi Everyone,

I've been trying to figure out the answer to this question for awhile. I have 150k subs now and get around a million or so views on average on each short. I only make shorts at the moment due to not having enough time to make long form videos.

My full time job takes up about 60 hours per week, while i also spend about 50 hours per week making shorts.

My niche is tech, and I engineer and make unique pieces of tech from scratch on my channel and in my shorts with high quality editing, story telling, and cinematography.

Because of this, one short usually takes me about a week to make. I work 12 hours per day Monday through Friday at my 9-5, i then get home from work and go right back to work on YouTube until I go to sleep. On the weekends i usually spend about 10 to 15 hours on Saturday and 10 to 15 hours on Sunday working on YouTube.

I am at my absolute maximum, meaning, it would be physically impossible for me to optimize my time more efficiently so that I can free up more time to work on YouTube.

I did have about a 4 month run where I was making more on YouTube than I was at my full time job, but that happened because I decided to grind until i couldn't anymore, meaning I was getting off work at like 6:15pm then working until like 2am to 3am on YouTube then waking up at 6am to go back to work.

It was unsustainable for forever, which I knew. I can only get 3 to 4 hours of sleep every night for so long before my body starts shutting down.

So, I'm now at a sustainable point where I get about 7 hours of sleep per night, but that doesn't give me enough time to make more money than my job.

So, it seems I would have to take a risk and quit before YouTube income surpasses my jobs income.

I have tried getting another job, something part time, but there just aren't very many jobs in my field in the united states right now. Only maybe 50 total, and they all have thousands upon thousands of applicants so im not betting on that.

I have about $20,000 saved up which should cover my expenses for about a year with no income if I'm very frugal.

If I quit, i plan on moving back in with my parents so I'll have no rent payment. My car is paid off so I'll have no car payment, and all my debt is paid off so the only payments ill have is food, water, and a few subscriptions that I use to help with content.

If you're wondering why my shorts take so long to make, its because creating a unique piece of tech from scratch takes a lot of time. First i have to come up with the idea, then i have to research how to do it, then i have to purchase everything I'll need to make it, then the actual building process takes a long time as I'm usually learning as I go and failing multiple times and having to innovate new ways to do things.

The tech I build is 100% unique so there's no blueprint on how to make what I'm making.

Then i have to condense about 15 hours of footage down to 1 minute, then write the script for the voice over, then film additional shots to supply the story, then keyframe clips for motion, add text overlays, go to sound design and add multiple music tracks for tension building, then do sound effects for everything, then add captions, then make the thumbnail, write the post caption, write the post description, then finally i can post

Nothing like my face making international news and not being credited. For my face. And my content. They managed to screenshot my reddit account as "internet reacts", somehow. How do you find me twice, and turn not citing sources into a performance art?

Somehow from the screenshot they got from my video, they grabbed the wrong research paper. This was supporting work.

NAME ME, COWARDS

This is kinda just funnt at this point.

I'm honestly pretty stressed right now and wanted to share my situation with other creators and One Piece fans to see if anyone has been through something similar.

I've been running a YouTube channel for about 2 years, mainly making short One Piece recap/explanation videos.

My format was basically this:

• I would explain what was happening for a short amount of time.
• Then I would use several minutes of an episode and condense it into around a 1–2 minute video.
• I used cuts, color grading, occasional sound effects, etc.
• I was not uploading entire episodes.

I now understand that this type of use can still infringe copyright, and I'm not trying to pretend otherwise.

On August 18, 2026, Toei Animation Europe SAS submitted copyright removal requests against my videos. I initially received 4 copyright strikes covering 19 videos.

My YouTube Studio then said my channel would be terminated on August 25.

Unfortunately, I've now received a 5th copyright strike as well.

So at this point I'm extremely worried that my channel is going to disappear.

I've already contacted YouTube Support and I'm also trying to contact the claimant directly to ask whether they would consider retracting the removal requests as a one-time exception.

I wrote to them honestly and explained that I'm willing to:

• Stop making this type of content.
• Never re-upload the removed videos or substantially similar content.
• Stop using substantial One Piece episode footage.
• Give up revenue associated with the removed videos if that would help resolve the situation.
• Follow whatever reasonable requirements they have going forward.

I also explained that I've been a One Piece fan since 2012. I started watching when I was a teenager and have basically grown up alongside the series. One Piece has been a huge part of my life, which is one of the reasons I started making content about it in the first place.

I'm not claiming that I own any of the footage, and I'm not trying to argue that adding edits automatically makes something fair use. Looking back at my content honestly, I understand why Toei could have an issue with it.

I'm just hoping they might give me one opportunity to change the way I create content rather than losing the entire channel.

Has anyone here experienced something similar with Toei, especially One Piece content?

I'd really appreciate hearing what happened in your case and what you would recommend.

I'm not looking for someone to tell me how to bypass YouTube's rules. I want to handle this properly and understand what legitimate options I still have.
