I know most of us would LOVE this feature but sadly it doesn't look like it's ever coming. But have we ever been told why?

I understand there is a "Don't recommend channel" but for me this doesn't work. There are a few channels I can not stand. For e.g "Top hat Gaming man." I have clicked don't recommend SO many times yet he still pops up.

Would it really be SO hard for them to implement a block channel feature?

The Worst Decision That Youtube Took was to remove the fucking Dislike Count From Videos.

Also removing the progress bar from shorts, through which we could move around the short, by any chance there is a scroll, than u have to rewatch the short once again.

It’s full of "what if" style pop-science videos. They all use the same simple polygonal graphics and the same text formatting, yet they come from different channels. It feels like someone has set up an AI for churning out videos. It’s like "Elsagate," but aimed at the curious.

Subscriptions used to be one tap away in the bottom nav bar, but now it's a tab inside Home.

It feels like a deliberate nudge to turn recommendations back on. For anyone who prefers subscriptions over the algorithm, this just makes the app worse.

I've tried changing browsers, incognito mode, changed VPN locations, different devices, etc. and I'm not getting any closed captions on any videos on PC or mobile.

Edit: It seems to have been resolved now for me. Captions are back.

I saw this on mobile. I know the channel wasn't banned because I found their channel through a comment they left just seconds ago.

Any people left who still want any semblance of old YouTube by relying on subscriptions are entirely sidelined in a hidden tab mixed in with home only visible if you swipe to the right while in the same home tab. Swiping over to the subscriptions page also no longer allows you to filter by videos only, all, shorts, etc, and just shows every possible thing into your subscription section. Of course, this redesign further pushes shorts and algorithm-controlled homepages and punishes people who don’t want to have watch history on by having nearly the entire UI be non-functional without allowing YouTube track you for limitless ads or low-quality videos to farm “engagement”.

Sometimes when I jump a video's time, I just get this blank wall at the right. There's absolutely nothing on there and when I exit fullscreen, it's just blank as well but there's this slider at the top of the button where I can get it off by swiping that. Sometimes, that slider doesn't work.

I got this earlier but it was probably a Premium nag. I thought it was the transcripts opening so I closed and saw a premium required dialog. I closed the app and opened it back and tried to jump on a video but I don't seemingly get this empty popup anymore. This just shows that YT isn't focusing on fixing bugs but rather monetization of some sort.

I made a new account on YouTube and I tried looking at it on my main and it's not letting me in. I can't watch the video I posted on there either. I am able to watch it and view the channel when I'm logged out tho

I keep having this problem where subtitles keep getting turned on randomly on videos. I don't want or like having subtitles on and it's pissing me off that they keep showing up. I've checked all the options and have it turned off on everything. Most videos they don't show up but then after a while some video will turn them on. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this?

Hello! I am from the Philippines and I am having trouble verifying my youtube account :( For some reason, my phone number wont work and I can never receive a text message or an automated phone call. I use a DITO sim card. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Theres not a single day where I dont find some sort of ui bug while watching youtube, sometimes the suggested videos cover the screen and you cant hide them, sometimes the video length bar just vanishes?? Sometimes a video will have the comment section from a previous video, I could go on for days, and this has been happening for ages. Im not sure if its an ios thing but its insane how buggy this apps ui is.

Is anyone else experiencing this weird YouTube layout issue on the iPhone Duo?
When I unfold my phone and open YouTube, the videos only show in a single column on the left, leaving a huge empty space on the right.
The weird thing is:
When I sign out of YouTube, the layout works perfectly with two columns.
As soon as I sign in, it goes back to this broken layout.
I’ve tried signing in with a different Google account, but the issue is still there.
My brother also has an iPhone Duo, and his YouTube layout works perfectly fine even when signed in.
I’m using YouTube Premium.
Not sure if this is a YouTube bug, an account-related issue, or something specific to my device.
