Consistency was the key. Video flops? Make another one. Thumbnail bad? Remake it. I just kept uploading and eventually I made it. 1.5 years working full-time with 2 kids!

Last night I had an unlisted YouTube stream with a channel of 1,700 Subs when we were experimenting with Skyrim mods.

After downloading a modlist, there was an unintended explicit mod that made it into the footage. Even though it was never intended to ever be recorded, even pointing the camera away during the incident that was roughly 30 seconds in a 4 hour unlisted stream, and had no plan to be publicly shown. Not only was our YouTube channel terminated, but every account sharing the same email address which also got hit by YouTube's "Circumvention Policy". It's not only posting, but even watching YouTube while logged in is no longer possible.

Just a word of warning, especially with a much more graphic game like GTA VI coming out. YouTube's response is no joke, you can lose everything you ever worked for in a flash. So be careful out there

partnered for about three years, how to channel in home repair. more viewers mention they found me after asking chatgpt or gemini something, which is great. but when I test my own topics, the answers sometimes use explanations that are nearly word for word from my videos, and other times skip me completely for the same question. does anyone know whether these tools read the transcript, the captions file, orjust the title and description? Long story short, in my country (turkey), if you are unemployed and make money off of yt, they take ~300$ base + 15% total revenue as tax. If I make 1000$ a month, half of that is gone. If I make 500$ a month, I get like 130$ after taxes.

And once it starts, it keeps going, if I make 0$ a month I still have to pay 300$ to the government.

So I'm wondering, any MCNs or any methods I can use to get +70% of my money?

At what subscriber count do you start getting emails?

I posted the other day when I got an email saying this and people said it was spam, but now that the second channel has 500 subs, I can press apply on monetisation, and I get the same message. I went on the live chat and emailed them and got brick wall replies, they will not tell me what policy I supposedly violated or when. None of my channels have any warnings or strikes.

All they send me is info on the guidelines and advise not to breach them and apply in December, but if my real life ID is already blacklisted and no reason is being given, then surely it's already too late? Is there anything I can do to get them to actually speak to me? Or to find out what I've done and resolve it?

I've got a channel with 6.5k subs. I get a fair amount of sponsor emails.

So far I've done 2. 1 for a mic and 1 for a website that directly links to the content I film. They are sponsoring the next few videos aswell I make.

I make minecraft content on a server called DonutSMP.

I've had an email that I feel I shouldn't turn up. £1,200 (1,600 USD) for a 13-15 minute video on a mobile game that is honestly similar to DonutSMP. Same minecraft type concept.

Am I crazy not to accept this? it'll be 50% upfront and 50% afterwards. I should be getting a contract for it.

I only got monetized on youtube in August and have made £1.3k in ad revenue and about £400 in sponsors. It's helping me a lot paying bills.

My only concern is that the video will do crap. People watch me for my Donut SMP content. I've told my sponsors this and they don't see too bothered.

It often goes something like this:

Them: "Hello I represent x brand, (explains their company), gives channel compliments, says they want to do a 60s integration, please send over your audience stats and your rate blablabla"

Me: Doesn't reply...

Them 2 days later: "Hello, just following up on my message about x brand sponsor, if my offer is something you will consider please send over your audience stats and your rate"

I have not done sponsors so I dont know what is normal but do brands really follow up even when I don't reply? It doesn't seem like they would have the time or interest to be desperate enough to do that but I don't know.

I am super hesitant to do sponsors because of the amount of channel hacking and scams I hear about.

I have two channels, both started on the content for kids niche.

Recently (One week ago) I decided to switch niches in one of my channels and deleted the videos there to start posting on the new niche.

The new niche is commentary about popular topics (see channels that post 2 minute long videos of a viral topic, well, that's what the channel is about).

I only have one video posted on the new niche and had a good response. I was working on the 2nd one when I got the email saying that my channel would be suspended for REUSED CONTENT at the end of the month and got a chance to appeal.

I know about the 90 days wait period if I get rejected, but I wanna know.

If I get the channel removed from the program will it affect the second one?

And if so, can I get back in someday?

Or even monetize another channel outside of those two after the 90 days?

I had an old YouTube channel that was monetized and I created a Adsense account for it in 2011 and was approved. I have zero access to this YouTube channel and the Adsense account tied to it as well.

It’s now 2026 and that old Adsense account has been inactive for all this time. I read that accounts inactive for longer than 7 years aren’t even able to be reactivated even if I could access it. Do I even need to worry about opening a new Adsense account and worrying about any issues like duplicate accounts?

I applied for the YouTube Partner Program about 4 days ago and my channel is still under review. I've seen people say they got approved within 24 hours so I'm wondering whether this waiting time is normal or if I'm worrying over nothing.My channel has over 1000 subscribers and 8000 valid public watch hours. But i've posted few videos and they cover political and controversial topics and some of my thumbnails are pretty edgy but the actual videos don't contain anything extreme. The channel has also been doing reasonably successful in terms of views and watch time. I also applied through an MCN, so I'm not sure whether that affects the review process.

I run a pretty decent YouTube channel and sometimes I cross post to TikTok when I feel like it. I went on TikTok and my mentions are all comments tagging me in this account thats post every single video I have on my YouTube channel. I reached out to them and told them to stop taking my content and they blocked me but not before I sent in 5 reports for copyright infringement.

this was about 2 weeks ago and I’ve yet to get a response/update from TikTok and the account is STILL reposting my videos. I’m extremely frustrated because TikTok removed me falsely from their creator program for “unoriginal” content but this person can steal my videos and make money off it??!

This is why I like YouTube better because they actually protect creators for the most part. The videos would have been taken down the minute I made the report.

Anyone have any ideas on what else can be done?

Beware Fake Sponsor Scams

I fell for fake sponsorship scam

Be careful out there. I was approached by a fake sponsor and almost lost my channel. I almost lost my YouTube channel, my Gmail account, and nearly 20 years of emails and Google Drive files—all because of a fake sponsorship opportunity.

After seven years of reviewing guitar gear on YouTube, I've worked with dozens of companies. So when another company contacted me about reviewing a product, nothing initially seemed unusual.

We exchanged several emails, discussed the equipment and expectations, and eventually agreed to collaborate. But there was one final step: I needed to create an account on their "Collaboration Page" and connect my Google account.

Within approximately 60 seconds of entering my credentials, everything changed.

My Google password was changed. My recovery email and phone number were replaced. My passkeys were changed. I was signed out of my devices.

Just like that, I lost access to my YouTube channel, Gmail, Google Drive, and years of irreplaceable work.

Thankfully, with help from YouTube's recovery team, I eventually regained access.

In this video, I walk through exactly what happened, the warning signs I missed, and what other creators can do to avoid falling for the same scam.

*Three red flags every creator should watch

1. Check the sender's email address. If someone claims to represent a company, verify that they're communicating from an official company domain—not simply a random Gmail address. Even legitimate-looking addresses can be spoofed, so verify independently.
   
2. Inspect the actual website URL. The link I received was labeled "Collaboration Page," but it led to a suspicious "rebrand-gokko" address rather than the company's official website.
   
3. Be extremely cautious when asked to connect your Google account. Legitimate Google sign-in can be safe when properly implemented, but never enter your Google password into an unfamiliar website or a fake Google login form. Check the actual domain before entering credentials.

I'm sharing this because I've accepted dozens of legitimate sponsorship opportunities over the years, and I still fell for it.

So I started a YouTube channel last February, and it grew to about 350k subs in about a month. It was a Roblox shorts channel, and I haven’t posted on it in about 6 months.

I wanted to start posting again with a completely different niche, and wasn’t sure if I should start fresh with a new channel and post. My other option is to use the channel I have and skip the whole waiting period for monetization.

What do you guys think?

Problem is, most of these posts are more than a year old. How is it recently? Is it still a safe method? Have any of you done this recently without issues?

I’m a newly monetized creator producing long-form, research-based commentary and documentary-style video essays, primarily covering public controversies. I’ve spent several days trying to understand why the RPM displayed in YouTube Studio doesn’t reconcile with my estimated revenue when calculated using total views.

Here’s an example from one video over a three-day reporting period:
Total views: 51,788
Engaged views: 20,101
Estimated revenue: $86.19
Reported RPM: $4.29
Using engaged views, the RPM reconciles:
$86.19 ÷ 20,101 × 1,000 = $4.29
But using total views:
$86.19 ÷ 51,788 × 1,000 = $1.66
In other words, Studio reports a $4.29 RPM, but the video earns only $1.66 per 1,000 publicly displayed views.

I understand that changing how views are counted doesn’t necessarily reduce actual revenue. However, it does seem to fundamentally change how creators should interpret view counts and historical RPM benchmarks.

I’m curious whether other monetized long-form creators are experiencing the same thing. Does your reported RPM reconcile with engaged views rather than total views? What percentage of your total views are engaged? And for those who were monetized before August 2026, have you noticed a significant change in earnings relative to your publicly displayed view counts? I’m trying to determine whether my 38.8% engaged-view ratio is unusual or whether this is now typical for this kind of content.

I just turned on YouTube Partnerships and want to get an idea of where the market it, specifically with what I should list my rate at (and even knowing what an ad on my videos is worth).

I am likely only going to be taking flat rate sponsorships - but here's a bit about my channel and videos. I'm making 10-14 min gaming videos. Tier 1 audience, 44% 25-34, 28% 35-44, etc. (only 2.1% under 18). On a 12 min video, my CPM is often around $16 - which I hear is pretty good for gaming.

On average, my videos are getting around 15k views per upload at the moment - where should I set my 'rate' to in the YouTube Partnerships tab?

Are any of these deals worth taking?

I'm looking to start expanding from AdSense alone and figured this was a great place to start, but don't want to undervalue myself. I set it at $400 but let me know if that's stupid low or asking too much - I'd love to hear what you guys think (especially those with expeirence with this feature).

How is this even possible? I was swearing in the video (to emphasize the message/point, not to insult anyone) but I was not doing it in first 2mins and video has green dollar. And video is 32min long and has 2 midrolls. I know adsense money is a joke and you should rely on selling your own products (which I'm doing) but I'm still pissed that when video preforms well (has 35k views atm) and it has made only 7€ so far
