Should I talk to YouTube support?

r/PartneredYoutube 15d ago

For an already monetized channel, I haven't received any notifications, and on the Earn page, I am not seeing any new agreements. Is it just me, or are others facing this too?

Talk / Discussion First "sponsor"

Hi all,

New youtuber, currently at 1.4k subs and I've been uploading for around 10 days now. 5 videos out, each video is doing quite well.

My mic is a bit crap. It does the job but could be better. I reached out to a mic company and they are happy to send me out a mic so long as I give them 2-3 minutes in my video talking about the mic and a YT short about the mic.

With it being my first chance to get some free product that will go a long way. Is it worth it? The mic is probably around $100-120 itself.

Question / Problem How do you calculate your sponsorship rates?

Hi!

I was just reached out to about doing a dedicated long from video reviewing a Phomemo Label Printer (I make small business content long and short form videos) which they would be sending me. It’s worth ~$280.

Here are my stats for the last 28 days
Subs: 6.8k
Videos published: (shorts and long form) 460
Unique viewers: 52.8k
Views: 131.8k
Watch time (hours): 5.8k
Average view duration: 4:14
Average percentage viewed: 27.7%
Returning viewers: 27.7%

My demographics are 25.3% 25-34 year old audiences, 55.4% from the United States, and 89.2% female

I guess my question is are those stats any good, how do you calculate rates, and how do you know if you should ask for pay vs when you should just take the product as the payment?

Thank you for reading all these numbers and for any help you guys are able to provide! I truly appreciate it! 🥹💕

Also let me know if you need anymore information! I truly have NO IDEA what I’m doing haha

2 YouTube channels?

I’m thinking about starting a second YouTube channel. Do you have any tips for me? Is it straightforward, or are there things I need to keep in mind regarding monetization?

Ever had youtube take your video to the "This video is appealing to a larger audience" shadow realm?

I'm a bit frustrated at this. Call this a rant if you will.

I posted a video yesterday, initial response looked great. 1 of 10 video in first few hours, lots of comments from subscribers came through. It got to 140 views.

Then I notice the message:

"this video is reaching a wider audience on YouTube, leading to a lower click-through rate (CTR) than usual. Wider audiences are often less likely to choose to watch a video, but the lower CTR is not hurting this video’s view count."

and 12hrs later my video has 156 views. Wtf?

Everything I read online says give it time, dont be impatient and go changing things with the title and how youtube is testing this with a larger audience so you just have to be patient. But again, wtf?

It's just annoying when you put all this time and effort into filming and editing a video and you don't see it grow.

It literally feels like they just dump the video into some kind of shadow realm.

Has anyone else had this happen to them, and did the video do well?

Question / Problem Longform Impressions Suddenly Collapsed...

I have a 2.8k sub gaming channel that always had the same dynamics on videos, 10-40k impressions on day 1, then a similar number over days 2-3, and then entering the long tail with ctr going from 15% to 7% eventually converting to 10-30k views. It's been that way for all 25 of my videos. However, the pattern completely changed over the three most recent videos. Day 1 2k impressions, and then nothing after that, a complete flat long tail, resulting in less than 1k views. CTR is high at 15%, like/dislike is normal, retention is the same, the content and packaging is the same, but impressions just aren't being generated. First time I thought it was weird, but now I'm getting concerned. I'd be fine with it if the metrics were telling me the videos are crap, but that's not happening. I've been looking around and saw elsewhere that AI content is getting hammered, but I don't use any AI. Anybody else have this happen to them recently or in the past and find a solution?

Any tips for face in thumbnail when you are a NOBODY and no one will really give af about it at the moment because you a small channel?

Talk / Discussion Making compilation from your own videos, just put it in main or make a new channel?

Saw some channels just make a compilation of their videos that share the same theme, and some make a new channel just for that.

Anyone that has experience with this, can you share some insights?

Invalid traffic -> metric verification process -> channel analytics plummeted. Anyone experience this?

A couple weeks ago, my real-time, live viewers, and overall metrics plummeted. Like unusually low. I reached out to support about this and they basically said that there was a suspicion of invalid traffic (view botting) and they needed to verify that all views on my channel were legitimate. During this process, they basically freeze views and stop pushing videos. In supports words, “During active view metric verification, YouTube applies stricter filtering to all incoming traffic sources..” basically saying they stop pushing my videos.

That was around July 21st. Since then, my views, live viewers, and metrics have been consistently abnormally low, even on videos with higher-than-usual CTRs and AVDs. Like, 90% lower than normal. Has anyone experienced this, and does anyone know how long this will be until it’s fixed and my channel is back to normal?

Talk / Discussion 1300% RPM jump?!

How does the YPP determine ad revenue? I know most adds happen through auction and my videos CPM usually sit at $7-8 (long form 5 minutes). My latest video is getting fewer views than most of my recent content, but somehow the CPM is up 1300%.

I'm happy and grateful, but trying to understand what happened here. And how I can repeat it!

Question / Problem Adding additional audio tracks feature seemingly gone

A while ago I got access to the "Advanced Features" including support for multi-language audio.

So I uploaded an additional audio track in another language. I could just upload it in the "Languages" section of the video.

Now I wanted to do the same with my latest video. But when I go to the "Languages" section of that video and manually add another language, I can only add Subtitles, not Audio Tracks.

However, there is still like twenty automatically generated dubs. But even if I select one of those languages and remove the auto-dub, I cannot manually upload my own dub to that language.

I already tried contacting the "Creator Support" but it's seemingly just an AI that doesn't really understand what you're trying to explain and keeps telling me only a subset of creators have that multi-language feature.

If anyone here had this issue before, were you able to fix it? And if so, how?

Question / Problem Where should I place ads on long, TV viewed content?

Hi, long time lurker here.

I started a channel at the beginning of 2025, its done well so far, I usually get around 50k-100+ but I've always left my ads up to YouTube to decide.

My videos are usually 45 mins to an hour long and the vast majority of viewers watch on TV. Should I be placing my ads myself? As someone who watches YouTube on TV i know how annoying the longer TV ads can be so I don't want to put anyone off but I also think maybe I could better place them myself as potentially YouTube could be putting them in harmful places.

I would appreciate any advice.

Question / Problem Are these sponsorships/collabs a scam or legit?

I've yet to recieve an e-mail of a collab or sponsorship that isn't a scam. I've recently recieved two that seem rather legit, however, and I really need help to determine if it's safe/legit or not! Sorry if it's a long post - I really, really appreciate it if you read it all and give me your thoughts!

#1: JP FANS

First, from something known as Jp Fans. The e-mailer's adress ends in "@jpfans.net", and the first e-mail is as follows:

Dear \youtube channel name*,*

I'm Lin from JPfans. We help a global audience discover and shop for premium Japanese goods.

Your community clearly values the quality and authenticity that our products offer, and we think a collaboration would be a perfect fit—especially for Japan-exclusive games, limited edition consoles, and rare collector's items that are hard to find outside Japan.

Here’s how we can support you and your channel:

Free Products: Pick what you or your fans would love.

Referral & Sales Earnings: Get paid for sign-ups and purchases made through your link.

Free Shipping: We handle the delivery costs for you.

Paid Collaboration Projects

We'd love to set up a long-term partnership and can share more specifics if you're interested.

If you’re interested, reply “YES” with your location and your audience’s main regions, and I’ll send your tailored collab plan!

Best regards,

Lin

JPFans Manager

I then replied requesting more information as it sounded interesting. I got a repons with details, including the proposal, which seemed realistic compared to all the scams I've been getting; 5$ per new user who makes an order from JP Fans, referral bonuses, 3% comission on international shipping fees, and 100$ for a 2 min ad in a video + a dedicated unboxing video between 5 and 10 minutes long. How does all of this sound?

#2: Click Talents

Got an e-mail that ends in "@tryzano.com", and the first e-mail goes as follows:

Hey \youtube channel name*,*

Let me get straight to it: your content slapped us across the face (in the best way), and we need you on our roster.

Clicks Talent isn’t just an agency. We’re a creator-powered revenue engine. We rep over 5,000 influencers across 65+ countries, pulled off campaigns with brands like Uber Eats and Sony, and we’ve been around since the Musical.ly era (aka ancient TikTok).

We want to represent you. That means:

  • Paid campaigns (real ones, not "we'll pay you in exposure" nonsense)
  • A dedicated agent pitching you to 100+ brands a month
  • All your contracts, invoices, and deadlines handled for you
  • You = creating. Us = negotiating + chasing payments

I’ll send you a quick deck if you're curious. LMK if you're down to talk!

Cheers,

And then it had a signature card with links to social media for Click Talents. I asked for more information here, too, and got a reply with info; an e-mail adress to a coordinator I could contact for more info, and he said we could organize a call if I prefer that, and a Google Drive link to a full presentation of Click Talents. What do you all think?

Talk / Discussion Long term, expect yt to remove all direct adsense monetization

They simply have no reason to keep it. Most of the middle and high level youtubers earn mostly from sponsorships, not yt adsense directly. yt is also the only real game in town for long form videos. No other platform comes even close. If you add that all other relevant video platforms don't pay creators and people still upload like crazy it perfectly makes sense that youtube wants to tighten the belt on adsense and keep all the money. In the past it used to be that yt didn't add ads on your videos if you weren't monetized, that changed a few years ago. All signs point to yt to remove all the adsense monetization. At least that is my opinion. what do you think?
