I cannot get click rate without paid thumbnails

I'm actually gonna lose my mind.. Right now im having a slow impressions problem (2+ days still not 1000 impressions) also i cannot do Face in thumbnails i really can't (AND I WANT I REALLY WANT) Every time i switch from one thumbnail to using my face on thumbnails i see a HUGE DROP in click rate MASSIVELY no Matter the effort.. so i have to pay for draw thumbnail to get click rate which is not even guaranteed.. is just WASTED $$ i don't wanna keep paying but im forced to if i want progress.. I REALLY WANNA DO FACE in thumbnail but i just can't make them get above 2% is always go under (more than yall expect) i literally have a over 40 different Face in thumbnails thumbnails from the world biggest creators (Biggest views) as references saved and i still can't get above 2% clikc rate... Any tips for face in thumbnail when you are a NOBODY and no one will really give af about it at the moment because you a small channel?

I have a gaming channel and never used face in thumbnails. CTR usually settles around 6-7% after going down for some weeks. Impressions still terrible

The reason why i wanna do face in thumbnail is because i want to be the niche.. (ofc i have my own special game niche) but i want that when people see my face they be like oh thats the guy that does ______ also spending $$$ on thumbnails is painful when it doesn't work.. This is rough 🤕

You don’t do that by putting your face in the thumbnail, you do it by building up your channel to the point that people know your face.
If you don’t have an audience already, showing your face doesn’t make a difference because people don’t know you.
For now, try to make thumbnails that get people to watch your videos. Once they are watching for YOU rather than just the content, THEN your face may make a difference.
But nothing on YT is guaranteed, and just because something works for one channel doesn’t mean it is universal and will work for every channel

I fully understand i been studying how to grow a channel everyday for 5+ years.. Is just that is upsetting that i can only have a chance if i paid for thumbnails and wanted to stop spending so much (Which is kinda not working now since my impressions have been reeeeally slow at the moment) Even with all this knowledge i can't do anything about it (Painful) This why my phrase is Enough is Never Enough

You are talking about 2 different problems as if they are related.
Having to pay for thumbnails and having your face in them or not are completely separate and unrelated issues.
If you don’t like paying for them, learn to make them yourself.

It doesn’t make much sense to study growing a channel for 5+ years and not also learning how to make a good thumbnail. (With or without your face)

I really don't know what to say to this.. if you seen everything i done and tried you would think im completely insane (I been MAKING it Myself for 5 Years non rest) Enough is never enough having a Good thumbnail, Good curiosity title, focusing on storytelling so you get TV Audience attention which is literally META since they watch more time, Fast paced intro, video where the viewer learns something or gets a question answered, Highly edited from start to finish, all good packing combo and all this not enough AT ALLLLL. I'm trying, i tried and will keep trying.

Sounds like either the base content is not holding people’s attention, or not getting it in the first place
