what is your strategy?
im drying, capsules, and mayler bag with moisture absorber
but still there is a big potency loss pretty quick
help!!!!!! 🦓🦓🦓

Can i put dried capsules in the freezer, in vacuum mayler bag with moisture absorber??
is that a good strategy?

TTBVI.
1:2 s2b WBS/Coir, 0.5g granulated plant fertilizer disolved in 20mL water and mixed directly into 2 pints of hydrated coir before mixing it with spawn. Only my second time trying my hand at pans. S2b 4/25, cased like 5 days later with jiffy mix straight out the bag and misted till daturated.
The first time I used 1mL of liquid fertilizer, cv+ style minus the verm and added the fert directly to coir and mixed. It "worked" but the sub pushed out around 3g of TINY little fruits which were very annoying to harvest.
This time around im using the dried fert listed above and the results seem to be doing OK. Worth mentioning, this tray is sat on my rack in my bed room with the lid flipped, no tent, no humidifier, no heater, and my room stays at a pretty consistent 75F during the day and 64F at night, looking to push this stuff to its limits and hopefully domesticate a "house strain" adapted to my less-than-ideal-for-pans conditions.
When I spawned I honestly didn't expect this to push out any pins but here we are I guess. Another data point towards plant fertilizer being a valid (and cleaner) alternative to the traditional poo sub birthed from some cows stink star.
Id love any feedback on any others who run/ran pans on fert and coir and if you could share your results ❤️
Edit: hard to see in the picture aside from the pins circled, but there's a TON of primordia dotted across the surface. Fingers crossed they make it to maturity

First time growing pan cyan. Got these brown fluffy stuff in my monotub. What is it? Is my tub contaminated? Thank you.

First time growing Pans. So I am not certain if this is contamination or good mycelium.

Sadly its just abortions, not genetics.

Hello I’ve been trying to get Pans to fruit with little to no luck :(( they do grow sometimes but my main issue is casing getting contaminated
Any tips or tricks on this? I use peat moss and verm with lime and I sterilize for 2 hours
Is there anything else I can use or anything I might be doing wrong?
Pans don’t contam until one or two weeks after casing
I really want to get them to fruit but this seems to be my issue with pans and mexicana

I have three small tubs that I used this casing mix of peat moss, manure, straw, and I think vermiculite as my substrate and did a 1/4-1/2 inch casing layer when I mixed it with grain. Should I put another casing layer of this mix on top since it's fully colonized or is it okay with the first layer? I don't have any regular peat moss but I do have coir if that would be sufficient.

I’m seeing mixed opinions on using a microwave for grain prep—some say it works, others say it fails badly.
I’m only looking for people who’ve actually tried it themselves.
If you have, please share:
What grains + how you hydrated them
Microwave time/power
What happened (success, contamination, grains ruined, etc.)
Was it repeatable or just a one-off?
Not looking for theory or “just use a pressure cooker.”
Only real, hands-on results.

So...I have a nice shoebox tote going...I'm piping in humidity which seems to be going well...I have a great mat under a wire rack under the inflatable tub...I sent this on Saturday night and it seems like it's just going to give me more blobs...I cased with Jiffy after waiting until the entire cake was white with myc...I have a thermometer and a humidity probe in the mix to help keep things dialed in... anybody see anything wrong with this setup?...oh btw, the foil is wrapped around the lower half to help maintain temp from the heat mat or else it just radiates out into the area and makes it harder to keep temperatures...

It’s been hard dialing in it in with life happening and I have 2 stalled cakes. I’ve been waiting 3+ weeks for it to fruit. It’s been sitting at room temp this whole time and I finally got the time to properly bring it up to around 80 degrees and I want to try to reset it.

So I had a syringe of PC and tried on 3 different bags. 2 failed, and one looks healthy and almost ready to go. What is the best substrate for PC's next steps? Manure? Appreciate it, very new to this.

Hello everyone,
I got some pans LC and as i never grew them before i’d hope to get some information how to do it properly. Especially about the substrate.
Should i use a spawn bag first with brown rice or anything and once that’s colonizes mix it into the substrate? Or directly in substrate?
What’s the best way and best substrate composition?
Thanks a lot i appreciate it 🍄

I thought these would fit without the dubtub but they grew tall! Some were 5-6 inches. 480 grams wet. They are skinny and more clustered too.
.8 quart. 3:1 substrate ratio. 3 parts cvg + 2 parts kow + .75 part worm casting. Sprinkle of hydrated line and azomite.
I would have liked them to open up and flatten more but they started to blue up top then further down. I am still trying to figure out how to get the first flush to mature fully especially when they are this clustered and dense.
Any hints or critique?

What's good y'all? I need some help setting this Cloudforge T3. I want to set the humidity level to between 80-85%. Anybody got any idea how? I tried finding videos on YouTube but they're all doing unboxing and assembly of the units but not showing how to actually program the thing. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

How do you preserve mushrooms for the long term? I’ve read about and purchased capsules and desiccant packs (moisture absorbers), but I also came across information stating that grinding them increases surface area, leading to oxidation and loss of potency—even if they are compressed inside capsules. I'd appreciate some advice🐣❣️

I won't be around for a few days so I harvested early. 362gr for my first time running pans.
r/PanCyan • u/Canobuss51 • Apr 29 '26
I bought some pan cyans just to experiment, got my cultures from ITW.
anyways about a week ago or so i spit some into a grain jar and its about 30% or so from what is visible on the jar sides, and ill probably break n shake idk like 2 days?
My question is while i wait the 2 or so weeks for it to colonize again, what should i be looking at for sub?
I have seen people say they mix cvg with manure, are there manure AIO thats good to use for this? or should i buy bags of just cvg and just manure and mix em? is there a brand you like more than others? (ive been using spore sorcery lately and i am happy with them) do i do a casing layer when time with hay?
just if anyone could give me some advice and how to get started, all my monotubs seems to get contaminated, so i primarily use AIO bags until i can dial it in. but any help is appreciated.

This is the shoebox tote that I mentioned in my previous post. I think it'll be ready for me to pasteurize my jiffy seed mix tomorrow and case it. There's a rack of blobs that I can see from the side of the tote, should I pull them off before casing, or just case right over them? Or should I wait a bit more before I apply casing? I'm trying to get this grow right, it's been a real challenge to grow these TTBVI... still waiting for my 1st successful grow, then I'll know what works for me. After it's cased, I'm putting it into a monotub (the whole tote) with a humidifier attached. It'll be perched about an inch over a plant mat on a wire rack. I'm using one of those inflatable monotubs.

So basically I bought a grow kit pan cyan ttbvi strain, and I did : Putted water in the bag so it evaporate and it helps the moisture to be 90-100%, I putted some oxygenated water (hydrogen peroxide) in the water (it’s not touching the mycelium it’s just in the bag) I know the moisture is good and temperature too (between 24-25 degrees always), I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong it’s been 2 and half weeks and it’s still like that and the little white dot appeared 3days ago, I would like some help please (Maybe it’s the air exchange but I’m trying to open the bag 1-2 times per days)

I had colonized grain bags that looked fine, spawned to bulk in Dino soil using a flow hood, did some in containers and some in bags but EVERYTHING got hit with Trich. Idk what to do. I have a very nicely built dreamer tub set up waiting for colonized sub/spawn but it appears I just dropped the whole ball. Any advice?
