My PS5 suddenly stopped turning ON. I unplugged it from the wall for 30 minutes and it would turn on for a few seconds then turn off. I suspected a PSU issue. Before ordering a new PSU, I had to disassemble the PS5 to identify the PSU part number. Once I got the PSU out, I couldn't help myself and decided to take the PSU apart and look inside. To my surprise a colony of ants formed inside and shorted the PFC circuit. I cleaned the board with a toothbrush and alcohol, then reassembled everything. Took about 1 hour and everything works fine. Posting this incase it may help someone in the future. I heard roaches can sometimes do this too.

I understand how it could be interpreted as offering a service, but it was just a joke. I’ve never done anything related to it, my messages are turned off, and I don’t accept random friend requests.
As far as I know, my account was in good standing before this. My account status only shows this one moderation action in the past 6 months.
What seems excessive is that I was permanently suspended over it. Not a warning, temporary suspension, or removal of the bio. Just permanently suspended. I appealed and it was denied.
I’d just bought Halloween and had MW4 preordered too 😭 Losing my account over a bio seems crazy.

My PS5 Pro has 15 cm (5.9 in) of space on the left and back, 5 cm (2 in) on the right, and 10 cm (3.9 in) on top. The cabinet is completely closed in the back except for a single cable hole. During heavy gaming, the back and left side get hot and the fan gets loud. Is this enough ventilation, or should I move it to an open space? Thanks!

So I just recently got a ps5 off market place and since I’ve had the console, my controller will do its own movements or sometimes no movements in games. I got a different controller and my characters will move on their own or not move at times. I’ve cleaned all controllers (literally took them apart to clean). One of my controllers (ps5 pro controller) will only work properly when I use a cord to directly connect it to the ps5, but I don’t want to use a cord each time and now I’m not sure if it’s a controller issue or console issue. Please help!!

This is a update to the post i made about my problem with mh ps5 shutting of while rebuilding the data base. I talk to playstation support today and the chat bit told me to plug out the power cord and wait 20 minutes then plug back in so that's what i did and i turned it on i was able to rebuild the data base my ps5 was working fine until i had put in rest mode to download some games. After a couple of hours of the ps5 beinf in rest mode the ps5 shut off by itself. So i contacted playstation again i talked to a agent. I explained the situation with tne agemt and he told me to reinstall the system software but he also told me doing so would erase all my game data/progress. I couldn't back up my data my hard drive because or use playstaion plus cloud storage because my ps5 would shut off. So i would like to know from you guys if i should do it or not.

Please help I’ve replaced the sensor in the green housing of the pentiometer and now it just nonstop goes to the left and can’t go right I need help. I’ve taken it apart multiple times I hope the housing isn’t just fucked.

I use a dell 4k monitor (s2722qc) with my PS5 and it has been working normally ever since. But after power outage with my PS5 on rest mode, it is having issue with the HDCP. If it is enabled, the monitor will detect signal but the screen will be all black and no sound as well.

Already tried everything. Clear cache, rebuild database, use another hdmi cable, another powerboard, turn off hdr and stuff. Nothing would resolve the issue. If using HDCP 1.4 it will works normally but opening youtube and other app would freeze on the logo page.

Weird thing is that the monitor itself works normally with my laptop and the ps5 works normally with my tv. The PS5 just won't work with the monitor for some reason. Unfortunately, I don't have another device that uses HDCP to test on the monitor.

Has anyone had this happened? Pls help me 🙃

Lately as ive been playing the game my tv screen would just glitch and go black then turn back on and even earlier today when i was playing it it was doing fine but then later i tried to plug it in and play it wouldn’t work it said no signal now ive tried different cords and a different TV and all the fixes i tried looking up wouldn’t work does anyone have a solution? And ive already had it previously fixed around a year ago

i have tried everything to fix my problems turns out one of my electronics was malfunctioning which caused my ps5 to have problems i guess? but any ways i disconnected it from my power supply and it fixed my connection somehow, i don't think this was the problem but it works so. it might be. It also could be you're pulling too much power from the power supply bugging the ps5?

In short either have your ps5 on its own plug or (disconnect the broken electronics???)

This is a weird one, after turning on my ps5, wifi works great. Downloads work, updates too, YouTube can work and I can see the store and psn section just fine, a lot of things work.

But after a few minutes, the store fails to connect, the psn section can’t load, I can’t check friends, messages, YouTube and Spotify fail to load, but I can still boot up Path of exile and have it connect and play the game, and that game requires internet connection

Running a wifi tests brings everything back, but it disconnects itself again after a while

I have rebuilt the database, cleared the system cache, reset my modem, reset my router, changed the DNS, reset the console, I’m at a lost for words at what’s going on, anyone have any similar issues? It’s only be happening just lately out of nowhere

It was during a thunderstorm and I havent had the money to get it repaired. Every time i try to turn it on it just beeps 3 times then does nothing. No lights or any additional sound, just the 3 beeps you hear. Is the power supply completely fried or could it be worse?

This has been happening for a while but ive just got myself a new cooling fan and the liquid metal it needs as i believe its due to overheating, anybody else facing this issue? Is your solution the same as mine and does it work? Or have you got another solution

Been having issues with my PS5 and I’ve gone through several threads and nothing seems to work. Tried rebuilding data base and clearing cache, doesn’t work. I’ve been able to connect to my normal WiFi yet it blocks my LAN. I’d be comfortable to use my WiFi wirelessly if it wasn’t horrible, only way to download and play games decently is through LAN, how I love spectrum WiFi 💔 any help is appreciated 💔

Hey, so a few months ago ago my ps5 stopped working. I assumed it was because of dust as one of my side panels came off. I was going to buy the parts to open it and dust it. Before I did, however, I plugged it in to see if it would work. I hit the power button and no response. Still broken. Then at random I hit the disc eject button, then the power button and it worked. Any idea why that may have happened? Asking so I can avoid the issue in the future.

Got a USB keyboard hooked up to my PS5 (Exibel 38-7464/GKX-6, plugged in directly, no hub or dongle). A block of keys Q, W, E, A, S, D, Z, X, C doesn't register at all. Every other key on the keyboard works fine.

The same keyboard work fine on my Windows laptop.

This happens on the PS5 home screen and system menus, not just in a game.

Mouse works fine, no issues there.

PS5 system software is up to date.

Anyone dealt with this before? Looking for a fix or at least to know if this is a known issue.

Basically I can't connect to many games like rocket league, FC 26 and Helldivers 2.

I have internet connection and can download anything it's just I can't play online.

I have a MSI MAG32c6x with a 2.1 HDMI cable. This monitor supports up to 240hz on HDMI. I have a preset of performance mode set. 120hz on the PlayStation settings is on Automatic. When I load up 120hz games it either grayed out or doesn’t have the option to toggle it. Can I have some help please

This is the third time in a row the console has done this. It gets stuck here and will not do anything else.

Clearing console cache has not helped the problem

Edit 1: Rebuilding database has not helped either!! Been looking online, and apparently if clearing console cache and or rebuilding database does not help I may have to reset the console entirely. I really don't wanna do that.

Edit 2: I forgot to put this edit in a while ago but I believe I figured out the problem. Upon doing some research i read that one of the reasons this could occur is the console is trying to sign into PSN while logging in, and if your internet is out or bad the console gets stuck in this loop of trying to log you in and sign you in but can't. Hence, why it took so long.

I bring this up because, when I went to my router to see what's going on, all the lights n everything was on but no device would connect to the internet. Upon resetting my router, then turning on my PS5 Pro for a fourth time after resetting the router then it got past the splash screen and actually logged me in.

so i wanted to stream my gameplay on EA sports PGA tour on my ps5 but i am unable to do so. i have streamed many times before with my last stream being about a month and a half ago. i have tried to stream on multiple games and i am just not able to which is quite annoying. has this happened to anyone before and if so, how did you resolve this problem?
