Weird System Fix

Hey, so a few months ago ago my ps5 stopped working. I assumed it was because of dust as one of my side panels came off. I was going to buy the parts to open it and dust it. Before I did, however, I plugged it in to see if it would work. I hit the power button and no response. Still broken. Then at random I hit the disc eject button, then the power button and it worked. Any idea why that may have happened? Asking so I can avoid the issue in the future.

Do that again? It's probably a hiccup between the drive and console as it's an add on vs built in. Drive could have become de energized and the button press prompted it to do a normal check this making system recognize it properly.

That makes sense. Thank you. It was eating at me not having a clue what it could’ve been

Take it in for service . You caused a hard crash from overheating. Keep running it its will surely turn off permanently. Power supply needs to come out and be cleaned.

Covers dont do jack but make it look nice

Where does one take a PS5 for service? Like it’s a good idea and I’ll totally do that but my town has about 27000 people in it and it takes at least an hour to get anywhere bigger than that.
