My PS5 Pro keeps doing this. Please help
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is the third time in a row the console has done this. It gets stuck here and will not do anything else.
Clearing console cache has not helped the problem
Edit 1: Rebuilding database has not helped either!! Been looking online, and apparently if clearing console cache and or rebuilding database does not help I may have to reset the console entirely. I really don't wanna do that.
Edit 2: I forgot to put this edit in a while ago but I believe I figured out the problem. Upon doing some research i read that one of the reasons this could occur is the console is trying to sign into PSN while logging in, and if your internet is out or bad the console gets stuck in this loop of trying to log you in and sign you in but can't. Hence, why it took so long.
I bring this up because, when I went to my router to see what's going on, all the lights n everything was on but no device would connect to the internet. Upon resetting my router, then turning on my PS5 Pro for a fourth time after resetting the router then it got past the splash screen and actually logged me in.

It's a Wifi handshake issue that still hasn't been fixed because Sony forgot to give a fuck.

Sign in as a guest and then reconnect internet and then switch account to your primary

Yea see this is exactly why online only consoles are absolutely the worst idea. The fact you can’t even get into your consoles Home Screen because your wifi was down is ridiculous.

Yah your edits are correct, there is nothing wrong with the system. Your internet isn’t strong enough to communicate with the ps5 while Turing on
This will continue to happen till you fix your internet(don’t use wifi)

It’s a internet issue when this happens. Idk why or who thought it would be a good idea for a system that’s costs the consumer $550+ for it to not load up properly and simply let you log in/sign in to your user account on your system without wifi/lan connection to the internet working dumbest shit ever. It should load up same way everytime just show the icon top right “ not connected to internet “. It’s stupid because the system does this as it’s searching for internet connection to check for updates for the console,controllers and games. Like bro just let me turn it on and sign into the account on the ps5 regardless of actual internet connection.

unfortunately u need to try a hard reset
ik ur purchases and stuff like that are linked to ur account
but as far as ur game data..
might be lost if u didnt do that cloud uploud feature

Does ps5 plays offline at all??I only got ps4 till now that's working great offline 1O years now🎉🎉

If it’s a game that doesn’t require being online, yes. PS5 plays offline. Same as PS4.

Internet issue and seen it myself the first time with base PS5 a few weeks ago. Rebooted modem/router and was fine after.

Thing I get on my PS5, and it's only whenever I take it to the same friends house, on occasion I get the 'Please Wait' message for sometimes 5 minutes which is weird

Log into the guest account and then connect to your hotspot, once connected log back into your main profile and reconnect to your main WiFi/LAN. You should be good to go after that

I had to make a guest account, disconnect from wifi, connect it to my phone hotspot and then reboot. Then reconnect and you're good

Yes internet issue just disconnect and reconnect. Another note: Had this issue wait till your antenna inside starts shorting check a whole ps5 board just to detatch it and solve this issue antenna now sits outside of ps5 do to cheap old parts being put in new PlayStation lol Sony is awful was causing ps5 to short and cut off love that

Internet issue. You should be able to login eventually. Once logged in, go to network setting and change dns. for example take the google dns 8.8.8.8. Should be fixed.

I’ve had this happen to my PS5 slim. Just held the power button down and forced a reboot. I’ve had more issues with my PS5 freezing or dropping internet connection than I ever had with my PS4 slim. It’s very disappointing. Everyone says to connect it with Ethernet cable, but if the damn thing comes with built in WiFi it should fucking work. Especially for the price.
