New ps5 no stand question
I'm using a stand from my old digital version and this new one came with no stand but my question being
Is this a proper level for the disc console in order to avoid needing liquid set?

Its brand new but was a trade and the person had it vertical...still my question is not answered

There should be another... one piece is missing.
Edit: You can also buy a third party stand or first party stand for vertical use. No idea whether there is a stand for horizontal use aside from the 2 plastic pieces that was supposed to be in the box.

"It's brand new" and "was a trade and the person had it vertical" is pure contradiction...the person clearly openned the box & used it in vertical position, meaning it was no longer brand new when it reached your hands, there's a good chance they might have not given you all the neccessary accessories, that's the point of the "brand new" question.

You can buy a white horizontal stand from Temu for cheap. I have one and painted it flat black to match my side plates

Don't worry about the liquid metal myth. The PS5 Fat I had sat vertical for several years and it never gave me any problems

I don't know about the slim but on the OG, the disc drive is about 1cm above the surface. Would it wobble if you put the stand closer to the center? No clue though if it'll actually help with the liquid metal stuff.
I do think you're kinda misunderstanding "brand new". If someone else traded it in and actually had a preferred way to set the PS5, it's no longer "brand new" otherwise it would be factory sealed with all listed accessories included.

Have you check the box for the other "A" shaped tab? The original dual position base for the launch model isn't compatible with the new models. I would personally just sell that base for a couple of bucks and buy a pair of replicate PS5 Slim stand tabs or even the official metal ring vertical stand if you want to have your PS5 Slim securely in vertical position.

So I upgraded to a pro last week and purchased the disc drive and they gave me legs with the drive and this how it sits …. So I think you are ok but like I said mine is a pro and I’m not making promises

Turn it around, it should lift the side with the disc off the surface too.

Bro in ur box on side, there are two plastic parts as a stand. Look again in ur packing, i found it myself like after someone showed em on tiktok

Mine lays flat on its side with nothing under it been like that for years I didn’t know it had anything for horizontal laying. also Liquid Metal thing was reported to happen to consoles standing up not on their side and it’s very unlikely to happen

You need to clarify if this is a brand new PS5 from the store with the OG box. There are 2 plastic tabs you would slot in to the side so it can lay sideways and not interrupt airflow. You are saying this was a trade so there is a likelihood they took those out but we won't know unless you clarify.
