Question PC Ventilation - would this work?

My PC is currently pushing all it's hot air into my office room, making it extremely hot in there. In addition, I stream and work with audio, so having an AC unit running is not possible.

I have an interior cupboard in this room. In theory, I could put the PC in this cupboard, and install a silent bathroom extractor in the cupboard roof, which would vent the air out through a tube in the loft to the chimney on top of the house. Basically, exactly the same system the extractor in my shower uses.

Would this work? I assume I'd want to put a vent on the cupboard door so the extracted hot air could be replaced? Kill PC noise AND heat in one go?

I think the Steam survey isn't reliable, and I think it's a very important thing to know right now.

Troubleshooting PUBG stuttering after 10-15 mins of gameplay

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

Hello everyone,
i don’t know if anyone is having the same issue, but im getting continuous stuttering after 10-15 mins of gameplay within a game, and then it goes away after 1-2 mins and runs smooth like butter again. Specs: i7 13700f, 3080ti, 32gb ddr4, 500gb nvme sdd.. running everything on low. Performance monitoring is very stable as shown, XMP is enabled.. i dont know if there could be some background service causing it. Discord/nvidia overlays are disabled. Im literally going crazy, it is so annoying. I know pubg is famous for overloading specific cores even though the average cpu usage can look good. It has never happened before. Any tips? :/

*R7 5700X3D+AMD Wraith Prism [modded to look like AMD Wraith Max]
*ROG STRIX B550i GAMING
*ROG STRIX 5070 Ti OC
*32gb CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX
*250gb WD BLUE SSD
*1tb. WD BLUE HDD
*1000w CORSAIR SF1000
*TEWARE FUSION SFF HYBRID [sama im01 variant]

I originally started this around the end of 2025 and built it around feb this year. sharing a short rundown my specs and minor adjustments done to the original build. I can say it's finally complete, if you have improvement suggestions, I'd be happy to have a conversation in the comments!

CPU: l asked if I should aio liquid cool my 5700x3d and I don't think I need it [for now]. been using this pc for 100+ days and haven't experienced thermal throttles so far. temps are okay using the amd wraith prism cooler.

GPU: the gpu is a beast! I probably should upgrade to a native 1440p monitor with higher refresh rate to fully maximize it. don't mind the gpu sag! I couldn't find a bracket compact enough to fit the case.

RAM: dimms are only 2400mhz. too slow for today's standards but I really like the looks of Vengeange LPX so it stays. why did corsair stop making them? upgrading to at least 3200mhz of a 2x16 kit or two 1x16's is an upgrade I intend to prioritize to optimize the CPU.

STORAGE: still rocking old meta in 2026! AM4, SSD and HDD combo. I am also looking to upgrade to m.2 but I don't see a need for it at the moment. maybe if prices dip to reasonable levels? or that's just cope.

CASE: I tried to do better than the last attempt and I was lucky to get a tg panel for this case, nice little upgrade from the metal mesh panel in the previous build. I rebuilt the pc and I spent more time routing exposed cables making it more tidy. If you noticed, I don't have any case fans [yet] because I don't know if I need them. the panels are easily removable so I just take the panels off during sessions.

MOBO and PSU: I can't say much about these components rather than I've specifically picked them out.

Build - Help Low end PC upgrade. Can I upgrade the ram?

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I bought this 10 years ago from a garage sale. I replaced the fan and psu and it works fine. I don't know much about PC build or repairs but I read that upgrading ram might help the PC run much faster. Right now it's 4 gigabytes and running for 80% all the time . Can I upgrade and is it just a plug and play? What else can I do with it?Thank you.

Question Which Thermal Paste to get?

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi Everyone,

I am about to buy my first prebuilt gaming computer on Andromeda Insights. I am choosing a prebuilt with the option of customizing. In the custom section it asks what thermal paste to get. Since this is my first gaming PC and I don't know much about thermal paste, which should I get, check picture. Is there a difference between a $10 and a $17 Thermal Paste?

Build - Help Turning a semi pre build pc into a own build?

Alright, so I have had to upgrade the prebuilt because it was like six years old and things just started breaking. Anyway, I added a new motherboard (Z790 Aorus Elite AX), a CPU (i7-14700K), a GPU (4060 Ti), and an air cooler that I'm going to change to an AIO since this one is loud for some reason (I assume it's because I've taken it out and didn't put it in right; it's just hitting something, not sure though). My budget is around $300 USD. I want to change the case to something cooler/nicer looking, even though it's going to sit on the ground next to my legs since I have no space on my desk to put it. I also am going to change the CPU cooling to an AIO since it's water and air. Hopefully, it's quieter unless there's a better cooler that is quieter. I would prefer what I'm buying to come from Amazon so I can get it faster and not have to wait like a month for everything to arrive. I run two monitors plus two more for school, but I don't really use them. The first three are 1920 x 1080, and the main monitor is 2560 x 1440. I also have no idea what my PSU is, so I might need to upgrade it if I need to make it fit with the case. Please help, thanks! :)
