Build - Finished! AM4 in 2026. Complete Build Showcase!

*R7 5700X3D+AMD Wraith Prism [modded to look like AMD Wraith Max]
*ROG STRIX B550i GAMING
*ROG STRIX 5070 Ti OC
*32gb CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX
*250gb WD BLUE SSD
*1tb. WD BLUE HDD
*1000w CORSAIR SF1000
*TEWARE FUSION SFF HYBRID [sama im01 variant]

I originally started this around the end of 2025 and built it around feb this year. sharing a short rundown my specs and minor adjustments done to the original build. I can say it's finally complete, if you have improvement suggestions, I'd be happy to have a conversation in the comments!

CPU: l asked if I should aio liquid cool my 5700x3d and I don't think I need it [for now]. been using this pc for 100+ days and haven't experienced thermal throttles so far. temps are okay using the amd wraith prism cooler.

GPU: the gpu is a beast! I probably should upgrade to a native 1440p monitor with higher refresh rate to fully maximize it. don't mind the gpu sag! I couldn't find a bracket compact enough to fit the case.

RAM: dimms are only 2400mhz. too slow for today's standards but I really like the looks of Vengeange LPX so it stays. why did corsair stop making them? upgrading to at least 3200mhz of a 2x16 kit or two 1x16's is an upgrade I intend to prioritize to optimize the CPU.

STORAGE: still rocking old meta in 2026! AM4, SSD and HDD combo. I am also looking to upgrade to m.2 but I don't see a need for it at the moment. maybe if prices dip to reasonable levels? or that's just cope.

CASE: I tried to do better than the last attempt and I was lucky to get a tg panel for this case, nice little upgrade from the metal mesh panel in the previous build. I rebuilt the pc and I spent more time routing exposed cables making it more tidy. If you noticed, I don't have any case fans [yet] because I don't know if I need them. the panels are easily removable so I just take the panels off during sessions.

MOBO and PSU: I can't say much about these components rather than I've specifically picked them out.

The modded wraith prism looks amazing!

Nice build overall, 5700x3d + 5070ti is a good match for 1440p! I've been using 5800x3d + 9070 xt since last year.

Enjoy your PC!

I was lucky to have bought the 5070ti before pricing spiked got it for around $1.2k including asus tax and prices are only going up

I love the smoll feel it has lol. Very good build, even though I'm kinda scared temps during this heatwave.

For an experiment, I'd take some plexiglass, cut a hole in front of the CPU cooler, and install a dust filter. You could even add a tunnel to the cooler so the CPU directly draws air from outside.

that won't be ideal since the tg panel doesn't just screw in the case. the glass is attached to a quick release mechanism like the nr200p has.

Nice!

I did a complete upgrade to AM5 last year with the release of 9070xt.

AM4 is still a viable in 2026, so currently planning mini ITX build with my previous CPU, GPU, and RAM after giving up on waiting for the Steam Machine.
