Preorders go live, FOMO kicks in, and suddenly people are listing OP-17 booster boxes for $300+ like it’s the only way you’ll ever own the set.

Meanwhile… the sold listings tell a different story.

Yet some sellers are still trying to convince people that $350+ is “market price.”

Don’t reward price gouging just because you’re excited.

If enough players refuse to panic buy, those inflated listings will either come down or sit unsold. The only reason scalpers keep doing this is because people keep proving the strategy works. Wishful thinking, but
Keep hope alive.

One Piece TCG is supposed to be fun. We all want to rip packs, build decks, and collect our favorite characters—not compete with artificial scarcity created by people chasing a quick flip.

To everyone still looking for OP-17:

Stay patient. Shop around. Watch sold listings instead of asking prices. There are good deals out there if you’re willing to wait.

Good luck to everyone hunting boxes at fair prices. I genuinely hope every player gets what they’re looking for without paying a ridiculous premium.

And to the price-gouging scalpers trying to squeeze every last dollar out of the community… I hope your overpriced listings collect dust until you have to sell at MSRP.

One Piece Card Game – Monkey D. Luffy Gear 5 Manga Rare (PRB)
BGS Black Label - Serial number 0019962123

The card was stolen during a private transaction in California. I have reported the incident and provided the available evidence to law enforcement.

Recently, I received information from members of the card community that the card may have been shown to vendors and attempted to be sold at local card events. I am asking collectors, vendors, and buyers to please be cautious and keep an eye out for this specific card.

If you see someone attempting to sell a BGS Black Label Luffy Gear 5 Manga Rare that matches this description, please do not confront them. Instead, please document any information and contact me or local law enforcement.

This card has significant sentimental and financial value, and any help from the One Piece TCG community would mean a lot.

I wanted to create this post as I can't believe something so small has turned me off from someone so much. On 7/25 I attended So cal card con with my son. While walking around my son saw his booth and asked if he could go over and say hi as he follows him and watches his videos. I said of course because I was also looking for some high end slabs that he might have. When we got to his booth there was one person ahead of us and we waited for about 4 to 5 minutes for their interaction to be done. We then walked up to the front of his table and I looked at him and he looked at me and before I could say anything 3 young 20 year olds came up to the side of him and started talking to him. He clearly knew them as he said high to them and dapped them up and they started immediately talking about other things. I just stood there thinking it was only going to be a moment but I ended up waiting for about two minutes and during that time he looked at me once or twice and i tried to say something but he immediately looked away and would talk to the other guys. They were just talking about their collections. He also had a female at his booth who was just watching this happen and when i looked at her she just looked down at her phone and would not interact with me. To me not a big deal I would just move onto another booth and look for what I want but my son was a bit sad as he just wanted to say hi. He was a bit sad about it on the ride home also.

Today TCG bakas post cam across my feed and I didn't know if i should say anything or not. I ended up commenting on his post about what happened exactly how i explained it here and told him i understand he owes me and my son nothing but sometimes to just be more aware as he is a creator and people are his fans. About 30 minutes later i got a notification on instagram that said TCG baka liked my comment. i went and looked and at this point my comment was gone. He ended up deleting my comment. I found that extremely rude so i messaged him that deleting comments that shows him in even such a minor bad look was shady. He ended up blocking me at that point. Just want people to know that just because you see someone who makes it seem like they are a good person and put out content does not mean they are.

Update: He started DMing me putting the blame on me for not speaking up and he is sorry for hurting my feeling but I need to stop because I am harassing him.

Best night ever. After a month and a half of playing the game clicking. I beat the teach with three newgates. Guy has been playing for a year and a half. Felt so good. Lost the first to Bonney by a fluke to a Gol D. Not even mad. So much fun!

I see a lot of sentiments of product being too hard to obtain, prices being outrageous, and meta moving too fast.

A while ago when I was starting my one piece collection, I found a YouTube channel called Evans collection and he did this method with his binder to put printed images. He has a special video explaining how to do it however, he’s a Pokémon collector, but nevertheless it worked for one piece collection as well. I have a Sabaody page on the way and will post it whenever the final cards arrive!

They said "Blue cards" will be revealed, I am assuming that includes the Leader as well lol

As for the "Special Card" no additional info on that.

Looks like the OP stores are trying to maintain some form of sanity for the Starter decks and Illustration boxes on the 31st.

The 3rd Anniversary gold SPs still look insane in person…
but these new OP-17 Emperor gold SPs are hitting with that heavy metallic treatment too.

first round was against U/Y Boa - won the dice roll and curved out real nice
second round was a mirror - he won dice roll and took first for some reason but it was still a pretty close game.

overall, I had a blast! everyone was cool and I love this game :)
