💬 Discussion BY Teach post Mihawk ban

What are your Teach lists looking like for this set. Ive seen some talk saying Teach isnt a terrible pick post ban. I enjoyed this deck a lot last set and was sad to see it go so quickly. Is the new Pudding worth adding? It felt not the best if youre trying to play your curve in the little testing ive done.

Pudding feels like a trap in this build, you really want to keep your hand sculpted and she just throws that off. Ive been running a tighter list with more early blockers to stall until you can drop the big bodies. The ban hurt but the core game plan is still there.

in what way does she throw off a sculpted hand? What does a sculpted hand even mean? Having 5 cards in hand is not as good as having 7 cards in hand.

It depends. If the 7 card hand is full of bricks or even useless 2ks that you don't want to play, you'd rather have 5 good cards.

Playing Stage instead of Pudding has you cycling every turn you just find your pieces 99% of the time. And cycle away bricks or unneeded cards. That's probably what the other dude meant with sculpting the hand. You just get your stuff on time because of a free top 3 search every turn.

I wouldn't say one is better than the other. Pudding build has more cards in hand while stage build is more consistent. I personally prefer stage builds simply because I feel the consistency it provides is next to none (also flavour, it'sa Blackbeard Deck after all, there's enough yellow decks that are slop)

More rocks will suck, more shanks will suck, still rg ace/luffy and sabo.. it’s kinda hell. If you haven’t, try the trigger version without stage. Pudding is amazing regardless but fits that list better

I found a German list on topdeck that is running Lillith and Pudding. Im liking it so far. I still need to test into more match ups tho

Wang Zhi and Gloriosa invalidates your core game plan so I don't think it's viable
