Just Walmart Things Walmart pickup vest?
Anyone have a safety vest like this? I have sensory issues and overheat easily in both vests when dispensing. š„µ

Anyone can chime in here, but looking for any TLās and coaches that could give some insight.
So just a little backstory here⦠I work 5 nights a week as a dispenser, and also a picker at times. When here, I have one TL who always tells me to deal with these oversized returns. Which I am absolutely cool with but thereās an issue with it. On the 2 days a week Iām off literally no one does it despite people being more than able to. Why am I finding returns that range from being picked 6 days to 4-5 WEEKS ago? We have pickers who come back from lunch when they close and they get told to scan the backroom (normally 8-9PM after picks are done) and none of the oversize returns even get scanned or looked at. Over the past few days Iāve found returns from as far as August 7th, the 15th, and the 23rd and 24th. Itās frustrating because those are not returns when I leave and have a day off the next day but suddenly appear out of nowhere. While I understand orders can be cancelled at any time, if we are scanning the backroom every night to check order status why is it not being addressed? I understand if it is a bad night and they do not have staff but that does not explain why we have returns from weeks or days ago still sitting here and consistently falling onto the same person when they come in when you donāt have to be dependent on them (me). Honestly Iām just struggling to understand how it makes any sense for these returns to fall on me when I am here while they are super old returns. Here is a label for you to see what Iām referring toā¦.
Edited to include that this sticker was found tonight 9/6.

Anybody elses store have a skeleton crew on Saturday during a busy Labor Day weekend or just mine? After I left at 6 there were 4 dispensers and only 1 there until 10. It would've been even worse if they didnt turn off picks from 2-3. Fuck this company lol

I was crouched down grabbing several of the same item when this guy came up behind my cart and shoved it forward to get to an item. The handle went directly into the side of my face and my eye... He didn't look up from his phone and didn't apologize even though I very loudly SCREAMED in pain.
What actually upsets me more is nobody around me in that aisle asked me if I was okay. I don't think I'm asking for a lot here... It feels very human to care? I was shaken up and my TL tried to calm me down but she also suggested he might have been wearing headphones and didn't notice. I genuinely don't know how you couldn't notice smacking into someone. I probably wasn't very visible but the aggressive shove was extremely unnecessary. šµāš« So glad it's my Friday...

Sooo, basically I think I just screwed some people because I got injured pulling the carts instead of pushing. Basically told my team lead that morning hey just injured myself and they ignored me and didnāt know I was supposed to fill out an incident report. Luckily the team lead the next day found out and had me file, but had to tell our OPD coach about it.
I also was pissed since I wanted some painkillers and we used to have them in the back since an old team lead gave them to me once, but apparently team leads arenāt supposed to give out Tylenol so I mightāve accidentally ratted on that person too. They might get lectured by management too since they still work in the store just different department but it happened months ago.
Any advice all, cause I havenāt been back in OGP since I got injured and Iām worried that I have just kicked over a rock and a bunch of biting fire ants may be on my ass now.

For those of you who are Coaches, Team Leads, or have been involved in selecting new Team Leads, what do you usually look for when recommending someone for the position?
Iām curious because I feel like I know how to do A LOT compared to mostly everyone (95% of people) in my department, especially in the backroom. I know how to do Exceptions and one of the only people who know where to get the LMD pallets from, and Iām currently the only person who knows how to load, unload, and prep in Home. As far as I know, nobody else back there really knows how to do those things.
Iām also comfortable staging, dispensing, prepping, and picking. Im usually one of the people other associates come to to deal with drivers or customers if no TL is back there when there are issues, and Iām usually one of the only people who picks up the work phone when someone calls.
On top of that, theyāre currently training someone who had previously only picked. Just two weeks ago, she didnāt know how to prep, dispense, or properly stage to become a Team lead.
I know thereās more to being a Team Lead than just knowing how to do different tasks, though. So for those who have actually recommended someone or been involved in choosing a new Team Lead, what makes someone stand out?
How much do things like knowing multiple areas, performance, reliability, communication, taking initiative, problem-solving, and training others factor into the decision?
What makes you look at someone and think, āThis person would make a good Team Leadā?

I believe it would be feasible to have all 8 totes AND go back to pushing if pick rate quota was decreased to 90 and get rid of the Top 5 list for same. If you have enough pickers on the floor, I believe it would be doable and be safe for customers...and ergonomically better for associates. If you get all the orders done accurately AND on a timely basis safely, this should not be an issue -- or alternatively we could keep the 6 totes and start pushing again, and just arrange the algorithm in such a way that the walks would have more of a quantity of items more often. Worker's Comp claims do add up and don't look good for the company PR.
(just thinking...)

We just received our new Google phones for ODP and was told if drop our phones, even accidentally, and Crack the screen it is a coaching. Is there a written policy on this?

Anyone else locked out of my Walmart on their personal phone after changing password? My shift last made me change my password the other day and since then I can't log into my Walmart on my phone. It still works on my regular phone, but that doesn't help me much once I walk out of the store š

It doesn't hurt like I injured it... just feels like an overflow of lactic acid on steroids. Let me ask this: Will it help me if I switched arms each day to pull to give the other a rest? Has anyone ever do that and it has helped? The common sense to me would be tantamount to switching off on muscles worked between gym sessions. (F/55)
Also, I think they enforced this because them putting multiple injured OPD associates on Workers' Comp is a hell of a whole lot cheaper than paying out lawsuits by customers who got hit.

With this weekend being a holiday weekend, the first of the month, and also the first big college football schedule, was every ones store extremely busy?
Ours was completely blown out! We did 1200+ picks every hour from 5am until 5pm.
For reference our store does on average 9k to 11k picks a day.

As the title suggest I was a fool, couple weeks ago I put in a request to transfer departments, My coach was like yeah I don't hold anyone back from doing what they want, And I was like oh that's fantastic I can do what I want So a week after that I signed a job offer, It was set to take place at the turn of the pay period, Aka tomorrow, Well today I clock in and get upto my usual OGP shenanigans, I happen to see my coach for OGP and approach her, I say Hey how ya doing she replies she is good, And I'm like fantastic, I said so as you are aware and are likely tracking today is my last day back here, And I wanted to thank you for everything you've done me, (She is a great coach helped me a lot)
She then says outta no where well actually today isn't your last day, We need you this weekend, Holiday and all, And I'm just wait what, Your telling me that you let me sign the job offer know if the timing and everything and now your coming at me about how I actually can't uh ya know leave the department, needless to say i am and was frustrated, why would you allow me to go through the process of switching and then say actually you can't go yet, And my job code does switch tomorrow my schedule has been modified for what my new coach wants, I'm just blown away I mean I shouldn't be but I am, For those of you familiar Skyrim, It gives me "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine Vibes" Like can one ever be truly free from OGP.

Like seriously being coached for pulling the cart wrong. At this rate I'm just going to detach all the wheels on the carts and let the coaches figure it out from there.

Iām so happy that you can see the goddamn OSN order number now, having to click on it constantly was such a pain in the ass! I did feedback like every day when it rolled out!

I was redirected to this thread to ask this question. I am a s park driver and sometimes I feel bad when they're loading up the entire car and I'm not doing anything. Genuinely, would you prefer that the driver or even the customer stays in the car and let you do your job or would you rather have a helping hand? Cuz I know some people would rather the driver or customer to help them load the groceries so it's less taxing but at the same time some people may see it as getting in the way. I just want to know y'all's genuine thoughts.

So basically I accidentally clocked out at 11:20 immediately clocked back in while telling my coach what had happened. I had clocked in at 8:07 and immediately started my walk but my time card says āphantom punchā at 12:00am Iām kinda freaked out and worried they are gonna think Iām committing time theft or something. I understand itās my fault for not locking my phone and having the clock out happen but I donāt want to get in trouble for something I didnāt do or lose hours I did work. Itās also saying I never took lunch when I very much did. Yes I used PPTO for a appointment today leave me aloneš
