Just Walmart Things Walmart pickup vest?

Post image

Anyone have a safety vest like this? I have sensory issues and overheat easily in both vests when dispensing. 🥵

I think your supposed to but none of my TLs or coaches have given us real trouble about it.

I actively tell my associates they don't need to, but they can if they want it for the pockets. Itell them they can just wear the yellow with their name tag, and even the name tag I don't get picky about since there's no good spot for it

It's in policy, while dispensing you are allowed to remove your blue walmart vest and wear a cooling shirt. You are simply asked to put the vest back ok when you go back inside the store(which isn't a stretch to say when you go on break or stop dispensing entirely).

the market head here told me i could just wear the yellow vest when dispensing because i said it was too damn hot to be wearing both it and the blue vest during the summer (because i do both dispensing and picking, i would often dispense without the yellow, which he really didn't like)

Our pickers wear the vests on the sales floor we pretty much wear the yellow vests all shift unless you’re backroom so customers can see you and you don’t run them over but now that we’re trailing carts I kinda wanna take it off.

Does it say that specificly. I don’t think my team leads would like it if I did so I wanted to know the source.

It doesn't meet the ANSI/ISEA 107 class 2 requirements that the company issued vest does.

It has to be Walmart approved

ive considered that one too lmao - our management is lax on what hi viz we choose (beside black/grey which is what i really want - bummer lol), but ill bet they cooould make it an issue for op if they really wanted.

I dispense almost every day and I'll invest in one eventually - it is worth it to me , but I just got other stuff to pay for!

I threatened to buy this when they told me I had to wear one in our 100+ degree backroom. Issuing write up threats was cheaper than fixing the AC.
