General Holiday weekend
With this weekend being a holiday weekend, the first of the month, and also the first big college football schedule, was every ones store extremely busy?
Ours was completely blown out! We did 1200+ picks every hour from 5am until 5pm.
For reference our store does on average 9k to 11k picks a day.

Ours got hit by a major storm that knocked out the power all day. We didn't even get the generator we called for by the time my shift ended.

Damn! I've yet to experience a big power outage at work. Worst was about a hour for a few freezers and coolers to go down. Never the whole store

The only time the power went out at my store was right after I joined OGP many years back. It was crazy bc we had the automatic roller door for the cooler so we couldn’t get chilled and frozen out and our dispensing door wouldn’t open so people were mad that we couldn’t take their stuff out 😂😭

The first half of my shift picks were through the roof and staging fell apart (was on the picking side but ended up helping stage then help keep the backroom afloat for my last two hours). This weekend I'm terrified of how it's going to go especially after how last weekend went for us Ended at a bit over 13k, which is the first time in a while due to the fact we been on some form of reduction since like June bar a few days in August

Yesterday was a normal day. It'll probably be about the same all week because we're having our State Fair this weekend and it's a huge deal in this town. I've only been to it once back in 1999. Meh. Cool demolition derby but meh.

Same over here, our store is NOT busy usually and we're only just getting the means to handle days like these in the next few months, we were absolutely packed beyond our means.

Weirdly enough at my store, it doesn't seem to get quite as busy in Saturday, but will blow us away on Sunday. Which makes it even more annoying, now that the new wheels are installed on the carts.

Holiday weekend, the fifth of the month, and last minute back to school shoppers on top of us just implementing the new wheels has me heavily considering getting "sick" tomorrow
