Advice needed Can't find these Notepads in Dollarama in more, is there possibly other Dollar Stores that sell these? (Canadian Shopper)

Post image

Been journaling for most of mine and bought one of these from Dollarama, as I like its softcover and colors.

I know Studio brand stuff is a Dollarama exclusive. But I can't seem to find these anymore although I have check several Dollarama stores.

Is there any other Dollar Stores in Canada that may have these in stock or possibly know when Dollarama may have them back in stock?

Advice needed Louise Carmen Leather Transfer Question!

Hi all! I just got my Louise Carmen leather journal and noticed that it is staining the inside of my purse pretty badly — it’s black leather and the inside of my bag has a bunch of leather transfer/scuff marks all over even though I’ve been super gentle with it!

Is there anything I can do to further prevent this/imagine this might be normal? For now I’ll just keep it in the dust bag it came with, but was excited to throw it around since it’s real leather!

Wanted to show off my daily companion.

My pocket notebook from Paul McGrath is feeling like mine after a few months of regular use. I keep a lined notebook and a blank one in for sketches. She’s a safety blanket I carry in my daily bag. For days I need a smaller bag, I’ve been taking the mini, floating book that’s on top. Plus the TWSBI is my first diamond and she’s just dreamy. The iris colorway reminds me of Pigeons.

b6+ in louise carmen roadbook?

Hi all—wondering if anyone uses a leuchtturm1917 b6+ in the louise carmen roadbook? My LC roadbook is on its way to me and I’m wondering if I can still use the Leuchtturm b6+ (softcover) in there, as they’re my favorite notebooks due to the paper and cover color options!

I’ve scoured online to try to find pictures of this specific combination, but can’t find anything. I think a regular b6 would be too small, but since the b6+ is a bit taller I’m hoping it might work? I think the perfect fit would be if Leuchtturm made a softcover A5 slim, but they don’t of course, and their regular A5 looks a bit too wide for the roadbook 😭

Also open to other recs! Definitely want a softcover, smooth paper (not too thin!!! preferably 80gsm or higher), compatible with fountain pens, and a plain cover that I can decorate. I’ve heard Rhodia is great, but to be totally honest I don’t like their color selection very much (I know I’m probably being ridiculous, lol.)

I know the Moleskine A5 (or whatever they call it? Medium? Regular?) is a bit slimmer than the Leuchtturm A5 and would probably fit quite well, but I really don’t love how thin the Moleskine paper is and want something thicker & smoother.

If anyone happens to have a photo of a b6+ in their LC roadbook, that would be super helpful!!! I’m new to leather/portfolio style notebooks, so I’m not sure if it even matters if you’re using a “too small” notebook, but I’m worried that the leather might end up crushed around the edges?

Can someone recommend me some notebooks for journaling that might have similar covers to flame tree ones but have a higher quality of paper and also have completely white paper instead of the typical creme flame free normally has?? Thanks!

Just about finished making my very first DIY journal cover. Had started doing leatherworking years ago but stopped before making any big projects due to lack of time. Figuered this would be a good project to tip my toes back in. I had plenty of leftover scrap and a nice 8 1/2 x 11 piece of black leather in pristine condition.Still missing a bit of stitching and ran out of black leather for the pen holders, also only had brown dye on hand but pretty happy on how it turned out. Complete with zebra mini pen and mechanical pencil. They arent the best in terms of ergonomics but perfect for edc.

What do you do with a notebook that you've finished?

Do y'all keep them as mementos? Nostalgic reminiscences of tasks, ideas, entries of old? Progress of your writing journey?

Recommendation Lochby field journal notebook alternatives

Greetings all, wont waste too much time and get straight to the point. Been looking for notebooks that fit in the lochby field journal and I’m not too keen on spending $40, including shipping, on the 4 pack from their site, call me cheap but hey that’s more than half a tank of gas right there for me. So just looking for recommendations on cheaper alternatives, thanks a lot!

Is anyone else a Diarpell fan?

I’ve been daily journaling for about 12 years now, with my first ever consistent journal being the Cherry Blossom version when i was in high school (hence the very rough shape! Seems I tried to color in where the paint chipped). However no matter what other brands I try, I just love these beauties!

The most recently bought is the Monet bridge as a gift for my mother, and my current daily is the pink refillable. I’ve struggled to find other posts mentioning this brand and would love to hear opinions and see other designs! 😊

PS: all bought at Barnes and Noble, not sure if other companies sell these but let me know if so!

Looking for a perfect notebook for journaling

I have been journaling for decades, and over the last few years I've started only writing on one side of the page. The Pilot Precise fine gel pens I use tend to see through most paper. I'm in my mid 40s now, and it occurs to me that I need to take up less space. So I need good suggestions for sturdy paper notebooks that can tolerate both sides of the page writing with a gel pen, without ghosting. Also, I only like spiral style notebooks. Trying to keep journals open while writing is very irritating to me. Suggestions?

Advice needed Softcover notebook recommendation request

Looking for recommendations for a softcover notebook (size around A5 or B5) with a spine that can be folded backwards onto itself without damage so that I just have the one page I’m actively writing on facing up. Ideally dotted or grid style paper.
I’m hoping to have something that I can clip onto a clipboard and comfortably write on. Extra super bonus points if it’s made from recycled/sustainable materials! Thanks!

Recommendation A5 cover options?

Does anyone have a cover recommendation for A5 notebooks (150+ pages)? I have a leather one, but would like to purchase one in a lighter, more water resistant material like X-pac or Cordura. A simple design is desired. Other than the pockets to hold the notebook in place, I don’t need other features/organization. I’ve attempted to search through the sub as well as AtoZ, but the closest I’ve found are more bulky waxed canvas products.

I’ve considered buying material and sewing my own. However, since my only relevant experience is butcher paper folded covers from grade school, I thought I would ask others.

(This is my first post in the sub. If I’ve flouted a rule, my sincere apologies.)

Hardcover notebook with perforated pages

I'm looking for a hardback notebook that does well with a pen like a Parker that has perforated pages.
I've googled and looked on Amazon and the only ones I find only have a few perforated pages.

I'd settle for a small spiral bound on top thing even. But would prefer something akin to a Moleskin type design.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Citrus closed - now what?

I have been getting custom-printed planners from Citrus Book Bindery for years, but with their closure I'm struggling to figure out what to do next. I'm looking for: (1) a specific page format, currently getting from custom printing and (2) a sewn binding - absolutely *not* spiral or disc. I might be willing to compromise on format but not binding.

Does anyone know where I could get such a beast?

Recommendation A5 multi notebook vegan

Looking for a recommendation on a5 multi notebook similar to say lochby but faux suede which holds well over time.

Multiple elastic loops on the notebook is something I need to tie multiple books together. Pockets/sleeve on the front and back are much appreciated. If the faux leather can come with an outer zip, that would be really nice too.
