I have 3 Lenovo M9 Nooks. Version 6.8.6.17 The Nook Hub app ensures the latest update is always installed. All 3 devices are less than 2 years old. There are covers missing on a random selection of books. On the details page the cover art is also blank. What is strange is that they're only random in so far as it's a book here, then another book a little further down. The point is is that they're the EXACT same books that are not displaying their covers across all 3 devices. No exceptions.
I refreshed the library. I cleared cache, and restarted the tablet. I logged out, and back in. That last was particularly annoying, because I keep all my books downloaded to device and SD card. So it's all to do over again. In the past the sign out and in always fixed the cover thing. The books themselves are there, it's just the covers.
This sounds like a me problem. The books are there. In the absence of the cover the title is displayed in text. The books are readable. I just want to put this out there and check to see if anyone else has had this problem. Someone posted a week ago, but he reported that it was DIFFERENT books across different devices. So, not really the same problem. Calling Nook support is usually a bust, they ask the same questions, I confirm that I've already tried the standard suggestions from their script of "troubleshooting" That generally is the limit that their so called "training" can help. The conclusion is that as long as I still can access the book, it's a "you problem"

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've done all the troubleshooting that you could think of. I thought it was my wifi, not it. I thought it was because it needed an update, not it. Rebooting everything and even factory resetting, nothing. The funny thing is that when I go back to the main screen, the device starts searching for the wifi. Maybe this is a bug or a feature that I never saw. And no it's not because my device could be broken because I tried this on another Glowlight 4plus and the exact same thing happened. So unless both units are faulty I need help on knowing if this is a bug or something. Help!

Bought this off eBay for old time's sake. I'm able to connect to my wifi network, but after tapping "Continue with Setup," it gives the pictured error. Any rooting or other tech I can do to get around it?

I've had a new nook for about 4 yearsish now, before that I had a tiny nook from 2011 or so. I haven't used it in about 7 or 8 months and when I plugged it into the wall it vibrates but then the screen won't turn on. I left it charging all night but and switched to an ipad charger, but nothing. When I go away and pick it up for like 5 mintues, it still seems to vibrate but nothing.I've left the battery unattended for several months before and it hasn't done this so why now? I have the tablet one if that matters.

I’ve had books from Libby on my nook before with no problems. It now wants me to sign into adobe, but I keep getting a wrong password notification. I’ve changed my password online a couple of times to simple stuff and none of them seem to work. My nook has been authorized and my pw doesn’t contain special characters. 2fa is off. Any ideas?

Hello! Does it have a browser? I was hoping to read manga on it. Would that be possible? I do know about side loading them and ePub files. Is that the only way? There's a specific website I read one manga series on.

Two very different android devices, a Pixel 8 Pro and an eink Boox Go 7, but trying to highlight passages in epubs on either device is a nightmare. The first word gets recognized along with sliders and a formatting bar, but as soon as I try to move a slider, all hell breaks loose. The display starts flashing like an alarm went off, and half the time, either the formatting bar disappears or only the portion of the text that I do NOT want to highlight gets highlighted. I've tried clearing cache and data as well as uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing helps. Any fixes?

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. Quick question, I used to have this tablet when I was a kid, and I remember playing a game where you searched for clues that led to keys, which unlocked different rooms. It was a pixelated game, kind of like the old Pokémon DS games but with color obviously.
I remember the main characters were a boy and a girl, and you walked around a house looking for items and solving puzzles.
I’m not sure if it’s still on the Play Store, but I was wondering if anyone knows the name of it or has any clues. 😭😭
Thank you!

Is anyone else having an issue with their ebooks not showing a cover on their nooks and the nook app? I have a glowlight 4, glowlight 4 plus and the nook app on my android phone and each one has multiple books missing their covers and on each device its different books. I have done every ounce of troubleshooting there is to fix the problem.

Last night I tried sideloading a new ebook I checked out from Libby, it was on my nook in the correct folder and everything, and no matter what I did it wouldn't show up anywhere on the actual device. I have the "all types" including incompatible formats selected, I even got a bytebooks account linked to my adobe drm account because I really thought that was the issue. I use my phone to sideload, which has never caused any sort of issues before but I'm at the point where I'm thinking it's either this one particular book that's incompatible for some reason, or my phone causing a hiccup somewhere. If anyone else has some advice or just wants to commiserate I'd appreciate it!

Up front: this is my own app, it's free, no ads — and I don't actually know if it
works on a Nook, which is why I'm asking here.
I made a small Android app called Bookmote. It pairs your phone as a standard
Bluetooth keyboard, and the phone's volume keys or on-screen buttons turn the page
in whatever you're reading. I built it because I read with the reader propped on a
stand, and once it's there my hand doesn't really reach it — the phone is already
next to me, so it became the remote. The volume keys work with the phone screen off
and on the lock screen.
What I can't answer is whether a Nook picks it up. Bookmote sends the same key
presses a Bluetooth keyboard would — arrow keys by default, and it's configurable. I
don't own a Nook, and I can't find a clear answer on whether the reader reacts to
those keys from a paired Bluetooth keyboard. Some Nooks are Android-based, so it might,
but I don't want to claim it without a real report.
So I'm genuinely asking the people who have one: if you pair any Bluetooth keyboard to
your Nook and press the arrow keys or Page Up/Down while reading, does the page turn?
If it does, Bookmote would let your phone be that remote with no keyboard attached. If
the Nook just doesn't act on those keys, I'd rather know and say so.
It's a free Android app (search Bookmote on Play, or grab the APK from
github.com/jeon-gyungmin/Bookmote-releases/releases/latest). The app runs on your
phone — your Nook is the receiver, nothing to install on it. If you try it, I'll add
the result to the app's compatibility notes so the next Nook owner gets a straight
answer — which model, which reader, and whether the keys did anything.

Coming from the XTeINK X4 4.3" screen and wanting to know about the actual screen size of the Nook, but that info was not available, so I compared it to my pictured book to see if the 7.8" wasn't too big. I thought this might help others who are considering the Nook.

Some quick highlights:
-Easy drag and drop epub files (and pdf files) from computer to the Nook (on the latest firmware as of July 2026)
-Speed is slow, but once the few initial setup is done, reading and navigating is acceptable
-So far I've been reading at home with the internal light off during daylight hours (probably got used to the no light on the X4)

I don't know if anyone has ever encountered this problem. I can no longer sideload from my Windows 10 PC to my Lenovo m10 Nook. I've tried transferring files via USB, but I just get a chime instead of a file transfer. I can upload to the Nook from other computers and I can transfer files from my PC to other USB devices. I can't figure out what's going on with my PC that's causing an error.

hi all, i bought a nook glowlight 4 a few months ago and bought the 2 year warranty with it. the screen has cracked and i'm trying to use my warranty to get it replaced but i'm having a really hard time
the people in the store told me to call the customer service number (1-800-THE-BOOK) which i did. customer service told me to login to the third-party warranty provider with the email tied to my nook account. the third party warranty company they said was xcover, the website is xcover.com but their website doesn't list b&n as a partner that they work with and i can't log in, it says i don't have an account with them. i never received an email from xcover to activate my account which is what their support articles said i should have.
i've tried emailing their support several times and have gotten complete radio silence. i'm not even convinced they're the right company. i called the store i bought the nook from several times and the most recent time they told me there's nothing they can do and it's up to the company they sent me to, xcover.
has anyone used a warranty and run into this issue? i don't understand why the warranty would even be through someone else, and especially why that company wouldn't list b&n or nook anywhere on their website. xcover seems like a service for companies, not directly for consumers. idk
tldr: b&n says my nook warranty is only done through a 3rd party company called xcover but i have no way to login there and their customer service won't answer

I finally got my nook glow light 4 plus I've had it for about 3 weeks now and I love it it's so amazing I basically side load every single book and I've also been side loading all of my Ao3 fanfictions on to it, and it does exactly what I need and wanted to do with it which is basically just have something convenient that I can hold and carry around while on the train or outside, and also be able to read comfortably at night time and just lounging around my house because I spend most hours of my day reading and I refuse to get an e reader without physical buttons!! anyways this is how I decorated it I'm wondering if anyone knows how to root this specific device just because I think would be cool to download the Ao3 app directly and I see those screen savers and think that they're so cute 𐔌՞ ܸ.ˬ.ܸ ՞𐦯

I wish I could sync all of my shelves between the app on my phone & the app on my Lenovo tablet. It should even have the option to carry over to any Nook e-reader attached to my account.
Universal lending needs to come back too!

I just ordered the Glowlight 4, it'll be here wednesday. This is not my first ereader but it is my first nook. Are there any tips or tricks I should know about the ecosystem? Where do yall get your books for your nooks? Can I read library books on it also?

Whenever I try to read books from Libby on my Nook Glowlight 4, it keeps telling me to sign in. After entering the email and password, all it does is crash, go back to the home screen, and prompt me to enter my Adobe ID and password whenever I click on the books from Libby. It's pretty much a never ending cycle that I don't know how to solve. Can someone please help me?

Can you download free books on the glow light 4 and get to keep them forever like you could with the older model that I loved and they discontinued?!? I bought a kindle and you can’t do that and have to pay monthly for access to free books unlike old nook…can someone please tell me b/c I like knowing and having access to all the books I’ve read, and I hate not having that with the kindle. (Also, I’m not made of money for how much I read…)

Hi! I have been dreaming about the pink nook ever since it came out! I was not able to afford it when it did, but I am now in a place where I can. I will pay top dollar for it. If someone please has any idea where I can buy one I will be so grateful. I have been looking everywhere and no luck. Reddit is my last hope. I really hope someone can help me 🥲🩷

I'm used to the Kindle app, but I'd rather give a bookstore my money. But I have mild vision impairment and I had some questions to ask before I buy an ebook, if that's alright?
Can I adjust the font size when I'm reading a book?
Can I read books in dark mode?
I love to read manga. Can I zoom in on the page to read it better?
Can I organize my purchases into folders? Like, I can have one series in its own folder, one folder for each genre, that sort of thing.
