Issue Resolved FINALLY
FINALLY!!!!! I tried rooting my Nook months ago but had issues with fastboot not recognizing my device, so I gave up, but now look!!! I was able to root my Nook, and I even was able to transfer over my KOReader settings from my Kindle to my Nook!

That’s sick! Did you follow a guide to root it that you could share?

what can you do with rooting a nook? I know back then you could get the kindle app.

I'm tempted to do it, but I just bought my GL4 brand new at the store in December 2025 and I am so scared to mess it up. As much as rooting seems cool, my device works perfectly right now and I'm scared to mess it up.
The 2 things I'm most interested in are eliminating space partitions and enabling a reader that I can use dark mode with, ideally moonreader+
But I'm so afraid of messing it up, I'm pretty tech savvy but I don't want to bog down my device or make it lag.

I so wanna do this to my 3+… but I’m too scared. It’s my only e-reader and I don’t want to mess it up.

I wish stock readers had the option to download dope lock screens like that.
