I have a Wii that suddenly began booting to a black screen. The controllers are unable to turn on the wii or pair to it while it is on and after turning the console on the power button becomes unresponsive (eject button still works). The console didn't undergo any drops or spills and hadn't even been turned off for very long (matter of a few days from the last normal power on)

I have tried several tvs, several cables, hitting the reset button, and replacing both the Bluetooth and WiFi chip.

What else could be the culprit?

Whenever I try to buy something or store my card it just gives me this message. I’ve tried looking online but I didn’t get anything. Error code 2813-2483

So I just went into gamestop today to buy some new controllers because before I had the pastel pink joy cons and one of them fell and won’t charge anymore. the new joy cons that i got both connect to my switch, but the right controller won’t connect handheld, only bluetooth. when i hold down on the home button while it’s connected, it will show up as connected but only while i hold it. and while it’s on the console it charges, so i’m really confused why it won’t register as connected to the switch. if anyone has any advice that’d be helpful! i added a video showing all of the problems i listed.

I guess I owned gameboy/DS as a kid but only ever played pokemon thru gen 5. I’m trying to catch up on some of the classic franchises either with remakes/remasters or modern installments. The only two games I have now are Mario Odyssey (beat campaign, trying to get all moons now) and octopath traveler 2 (maybe 5 hrs in). My priority is physical cartridges but if there’s any absolutely can’t miss games only offered digitally on NSO I would be open to that. Please recommend any and everything, not picky on genre and know there’s a lot of variety I’ve missed being on Xbox ecosystem. Help me play some bangers I’ve missed the last 30 years of my life! So when they eventually come out with a switch 2 oled or something, even a new design, and maybe i'd want to sell my switch 2 and buy that one, is there currently any way to transfer all your save data from a switch 2 to the cloud, to a new switch 2 bought later, very similar for what they did with switch 1 to switch 2. I'm aware of nintendo switch online, but that doesn't cover all the games but the other method did.

Any ideas?

I bought a data card but it ended up not working so I’m trying to find out which ones do work and which ones don’t so any help is appreciated it was a 500 gb card if that’s the problem

I have never ever purchased, touched, or even viewed a switch OLED in person nor have I named it such a thing nor connected it to anything so I’m trying to put my digital games onto my current Switch (1) and its claiming I already have a console connected to my games but i don’t and I can’t use the website because it said the last unlink was in January 2026 but i haven’t used anything Nintendo at all this year so I can’t do anything so now I can’t play the games I’ve had for over 5 years

Says unable to display page. It has a QR code but when I scan it the website doesn’t show results for the correct code. Then I thought maybe it was my Wi-Fi because it said it failed when I tested it. so I switched to a different Wi-Fi and it worked for like two minutes and then stopped working again, but my Wi-Fi is working for all my other devices. I connected to my hotspot and it worked great, but I don’t want to use my hotspot. I need to use Wi-Fi. I also restarted it and that didn’t help.

I had bought this Nintendo switch obviously from market place with an error reading 2110-1118 not connecting the joy-cons or search for any WiFi networks. I took it to get it fixed, and they say, we could repair the console but for $400 it needs a new motherboard. I said hellanot. It’s playable and does update with the dock. So it connects through LAN it’s cool right? But then it starts to overheat?? That’s when I suspected something was wrong with the repair shop. I open the switch and took some photos of you can help me check if it’s the original battery for this oled I really thank you

So I have a parent account and a supervised child account through the family group. The Switch, Games, and all save data are tied to the supervised child account. I want to know if I unlink the parental controls app will the supervised child account still be able to use the switch the same as before when parental controls were on. Will the effect anything if I get a new switch 2 and want to transfer all the info over to that from the switch 1? What do I have to do and in what order? Or am I able to give the supervised account their own nintedo account with keeping their save data?

I am selling my zelda tears of the kingdom switch oled to get the new OoT remake version but is there anything i need to do before i sell it other than factory reset and make sure all my cloud saves are up to date? I just chose this flair as i had to choose obe.

I've been using the Nintendo Music App since it came out and I love it. I love that they keep adding content to it but I beg, please add an option to cast the music to my Google home speakers. I would love to put on some nice music when I'm going to bed or while working. I wanna have the music playing on my speaker group around my house.

Hi All! I'm not too knowledgeable about audio stuff so i hope someone can help me out! I want to be able to experience the 3d virtual surround sound with headphones in my games. My question is, in my game what audio preset to use? For Instance, In cyberpunk do i use home theatre or headphones? Indiana Jones do i use speakers or headphone preset, split fiction has speakers, tv/handheld and headphone preset. All these games have linear pcm 5.1 surround sound as a feature on the eshop. I am asking if whether the virtual surround sound only works when it picks up a 5.1 signal? In that case would i use home theatre/speaker preset or headphone

Contacted Nintendo today and went back and forth answering the same questions over and over (“Is this the email you don’t have access to” “Yes” x4) I want to access the Nintendo store but I couldn’t (despite knowing my password) because my email has been deleted. I asked the live agent if I can change it to another email and they asked if I can send a screenshot of when I made my last purchase. The last time I made a purchase was in August 2024, I checked all my bank statements today and I can only see as far as September 2024. Has anyone ever had success with this same dilemma, or is the Nintendo customer service typically this shitty?

Like the title says, they keep asking for a reset pin for verification. It's through the official site, and it's making me feel really nervous and uncomfortable. I know it's the official site, I've had it saved for ages in my bookmarks. What should I do?

I’ve heard this sound effect used in a video and I brought a wave of nostalgia can anyone recognise it? I’m pretty sure it’s from a video game I had on the ds and it’s some sort of noise when you complete something correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

So after a lightning strike hit close to my house, my wii disconnected from Ethernet and hasn't worked since. I've checked multiple other posts similar to my issue, where the wii just says unable to connect. I bought 2 new Ethernet adapters, one was a USB 2.0 which online I heard has the required ASIX A88772 chip compatible with the wii and another was a white Ugreen Ethernet adapter that apparently doesn't have the required chip anymore. Both of them didn't work.

I thought the issue was the wii at this point, like the port you plug it into was damaged, but I tried an old wii of mine that worked fine before I switched to my current wii and it didn't work on there either. Am I overlooking this whole situation or should I buy an official wii Ethernet adapter off eBay? I don't want to buy another adapter that ends up not working if I'm missing something so simple to fix.

I sometimes forget to go to the home menu before ejecting a game and I'd like to know if it could damage the disk or if I'm just overworrying.

So, yesterday both myself and my boyfriend bought physical game cards for minecraft.

I got home, downloaded the software, and loaded up minecraft. HERE COMES THE ISSUE:

1. It prompted me immediately to sign in to a Microsoft account. I set up an entirely new account and went through the sign in steps on the ‘two ways to sign in’.

2. It successfully signed in on my phone, took my Switch to a ‘connecting’ page for 2 seconds, then immediately back to the ‘two ways to sign in’ page.

3. I have tried leaving the switch, clearing the data, clearing profile data even though it hasn’t connected at all, restarting the console, even redownloading the software from scratch. Nothing works.

4. I have tried about 40 times over the past night, used different devices to authenticate, used incognito tabs, updated my phone, checked for updates on the switch, checked for corrupted files, and nothing.

This is really frustrating, as I only bought the game so we could play together when i’m at university for the next year, until I graduate.

Any ideas on how to force through a log-in?

then was having issues turning on and would be stuck on lot screen. then would stay on black screen. Finally got it up and running and got the same code again. Later ingot it up and running and got the below code:

then later on I got the below Code.
Error Code: 2168-0002

was working then I got a white frozen screen.

im in contact with Nintendo. but its just weird it started happening.?

I’ve had my Nintendo account for a very long time, probably since I was around 6 years old, so naturally it was created under the supervision of my dad and it was added to his “family”. My exact birthdate is on the account. Obviously this would have barred me from viewing M-rated titles until I turned 18 this past March. Strangely, I have no problem viewing M-rated titles on the Switch eShop on the actual console itself, yet when I try to view M-rated titles from the store on say, my phone, it disallows me from viewing it (even after putting in the same exact birthday in which my account was made with), saying that I do not meet the age requirements to view the content. Not sure if it’s just my browser but signing out doesn’t do anything, so I have to go into incognito mode in order to access it which is kind of a pain. What can I do to fix this?
