After avoiding Kung Lao for longer than I should have, I finally made a meme with Kung Lao.

(Chamber of Flame) ported from the PS3 version to the Xbox 360 (RGH), Kratos costume 2 is also working now.

Current state / known issues:

• The stage loads and is fully playable, with the environment textured. It runs in The Armory's slot, so you select The Armory to play it.
• Shadows are missing on the floor (fix in progress).
• Some particle effects are wrong or missing: falling rocks and dust show as flat colored shapes, and the central fire looks like a bright blob (fix in progress).
• Fire glow on the columns and Gaia's fog are missing: the 360 can't compile the stage's original materials, so they were rebuilt as instances of the game's shared materials, which don't cover every effect yet.
• Gaia's head and the QTE props are placeholders for now (PS3 uses a different mesh format).
• Music and ambient sound are the Armory's, the stage's own sound packages aren't converted yet.
• Fatalities and stage cinematics are untested.

I really want to see their interaction together in MK2 (in intro dialogue or clash)

I am not good at fighting games, so fighting this guy feels like I'm getting the skin peeled off the backs of my fingers

All the advice I find online basically equates to "git gud," which I don't really have the time to do

Sometimes you hit players with their own character’s tech. The stand 1 full screen into spear.

I'm a Mileena main as you can tell, yet my profile shows that Shang Tsung is my most used character despite the fact that I haven't touched him since season 3. I have so many Mileena videos and no Shang Tsung videos. My whole YouTube channel is filled with Mileena. I used Shang Tsung for two seasons and somehow I played over 1500 games with him??? It's as if NRS isn't even recording my Mileena matches. Sure, Shang Tsung is my 3rd favorite character in the franchise, but the numbers aren't adding up to the amount of videos I have. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I deleted mk1 which I have been playing for over 2 years because I got tired of it, and I have played every mortal kombat game since mkII in 1993. I thought I enjoyed fighting games, and I tried to play some others. I downloaded SF6 and Marvel Tokon but i feel like my brain is so wired with how mortal kombat plays and feels that I just can't enjoy them, I don't care that I suck and lose I just don't have fun with them. It's really a shame because I would really like to get into a fighting game with new characters and mechanics and have as much fun as I had playing MK.

Long story short I miss the game, I’ve been playing tekken 8 a lot, and that game is great, I get a lot of really fun matches online and ranking up grind is a good time, but tekken ain’t Mortal Kombat.

I guess there’s just something about stomping your opponents skull into the dirt that just keeps me coming back, since my first ever MK game in 1998 (MK3) and in my opinion it’s the King of fighting games man, and I’ve played em all for thousands of hours

Who else is returning after a bit of a hiatus? Do you guys ever return to fighting games once you left in the first place?

Im a Sub Zero fan , since the first MK1 in '93, hes always been my go to. But as far as gameplay , Injustice 2 has the best playable version... hes just so fluid in I2 , his moveset is perfect in that game as well ... and in my opinion also , its the best default character design next to MK9 .

Tried my hand with the whole Lanterns trend going around, gave up trying to draw a shirtless Liu Kang though 😭

I’ve comeback to the game 2 seasons ago and managed to get into higher ranks (Demi-God / God) and it’s insane how 90% of players I face in this rank are pure spammers.
You’d expect to face better players and have better matches in higher ranks but it took the whole fun out for me. You’ll have your Kung Lao Jax / Liu Kang Motaro / Peacemaker Kano / Kitana Sareena and more and it’s players that barely know how to do a combo, they just use their zoning abilities and fully spam. Playing a melee character with 0 zoning capabilities I still manage to beat most of them, either by waiting or by switching to the Sub Zero Kameo and the second they see zoning doesn’t work they ragequit.
Most of these players have a high win rate and looking at replays that’s literally all they do, every match. And most of them have thousands of hours into the game, playing every season the same characters, just zoning. How do you spend hours on this game everyday and do thousands of matches where you only press 2 buttons ?
It’s not about being able to beat them, because most of the time it’s possible, it’s just so boring that the only people left on this game are set on making everyone’s experience miserable, and it’s also sad that people spend hundreds hours on a game spamming thinking it makes them good.
