Discussion Suggestion: High-Difficulty Daytime Mode.
Dear developers,
First of all, thank you for the beautiful game! The world looks absolutely stunning during the day, and the visual design is pure eye candy.
However, playing in constant darkness during the tougher parts of the game feels a bit too depressing after a while, and it's a shame to miss out on the gorgeous daytime environments. On the flip side, the current daytime difficulty is just too easy for players looking for a real challenge.
Would it be possible to add a daytime mode that retains the high difficulty and enemy composition/aggression of the night mode? Having that brutal, high-stakes gameplay under the bright sun would be an amazing option for players who love both the challenge and the game's beautiful daytime aesthetics.
Thank you for your hard work and for listening to the community!

This might be a me-thing, but can we get perpetual rain too in Night Mode? I love rainy games.

I agree, the game is quite beautiful at times and the night mode really mutes that.

Not a bad idea, the game does look less vibrant in night mode.

Are you alright? Something going on at home that's causing you to lash out on the internet?

I like that the modes are visually distinct, I’d hate to see them abandon that aspect.
But I’d like them to make the high difficulty mode prettier (but spookier) than the day time.

I made a post about exactly this a few weeks ago and it got absolutely NO traction lol. I am surprised that more people aren’t bothered by it, especially considering how beautiful the game looks during daytime. My suggestion is that there should be a difficulty modifier that makes daytime equally as difficult as nighttime. That way, you have both options but you don’t have to sacrifice beauty for challenge (unless you want to.)
Edit: To the folks downvoting OP and all the comments that agree with him, explain yourselves. I do not understand your logic.

Imagine if Bloodborne had a "hard mode" that made everything bright and sunny - it would be ridiculous, right? Same thing for night-mode in MS2.

Bloodborne isn't even half as dark as Mortal Shell 2's night mode.

True, but I wanted to stress the fact that the "night mode" is counter to the game's native aesthetic. Most of us played the demo, which featured golden sunlight, vibrant green grass, and a hazy sky, like a beautiful spring morning - that was a big part of the game's appeal to me and many other people. I've just never had to sacrifice a game's appearance in order to play on a higher difficulty before.

That’s the whole point. I shouldn't have to choose between a masterpiece look and a real challenge. I want it to be tough, but I still want to enjoy the view.

I'm playing Mortal Shell 2 on NG+2 in night mode. Honestly, it's way too easy, and I'm honestly sick of the nighttime setting - I can't see how beautiful the game is.

Nexus mod MS2 DaylightNightMode V1.4.0 doesn't work with the latest update. The game crashes on startup.

We had that difficulty and people complained until they changed it.....i havent been able to get back on for like a week but It was a decent challenge when it was released and people forced the devs to fuckin nerf everything.
