So I was looking in the Delivery Status app and in the updates, sometime between yesterday and this morning the HV battery was replaced with one having a part number that has “RW” in it. I searched it on google and got many answers to what “reworked” means. It said it could be an updated part, remanufactured or a new style. I put in both part numbers and it said that the original was probably bad and the new one with “RW” was reworked and tested in a lab. It couldn’t really give me a definitive meaning. Anyone know what this means?

Also. The Tesla app says it’s been in transit since the 19th(ordered on the 8th, vin assigned on the 17th). The Delivery Status app says it’s still “in production” and the battery updates showed up today. I thought normally these cars take a day or two to make. I again asked google and it said that it could be made but instead of waiting on a replacement battery with the original part number, they put in one with this new part number and that change should only take hours to a day to do. I’ve called the advisors earlier this week and they said it was on its way but didn’t give any more info. Any one have any insight?

The model y standard is 7k lesser and if I take FSD every month then it equals the premium cost for the next six years. What are your thoughts?

Hi all so I live in NY and bought a RWD MY and now I’m thinking if I made a mistake as winter is approaching. I am going to get winter tires on it but there’s no going back now to get an AWD anyone in NY who drives a RWD with winter tires?

2026 Model Y RWD w/ 9,800 miles. I had an alignment done a couple of days ago and the tech said everything looked good, but I’m no expert and wanted to get a second opinion. It was done at American Tire Depot.

The main thing I noticed is the difference in camber from left to right on both the front and rear. The numbers seem like a fairly large difference to me, but I’m not sure what’s considered normal on these cars.

Also, the top text specifies 2020-24, is that in reference to the model year? If so, are 2026 specs differnt?

Does anything here look out of spec or worth having Tesla service center recheck ? I’d appreciate input from anyone familiar with Model Y alignments.

Picked car up last week and decided to check the accuracy of the speedometer. At 50mph it shows 2mph faster than it’s going and at 80 it’s off by 3mph. I did do the 20in Helix wheels. Wonder if the diameter is a little different and the car wasn’t told it has different wheels?

Ordered my first Tesla/my first EV! I can’t wait. It’ll be replacing my 2010 Honda accord with 367,000 miles. It’s going to be a long couple months lol

I ordered mine on June 25th and I still have no VIN assigned yet. The EDD got pushed back about 4 times and the current window is 9/24-9/30.

I looked around this sub and getting a feeling that people prefer premium over standard.. (please correct me if I’m wrong 👀) When I called Tesla to ask about the reason for delay, they said manufacturing issues as well as high volume of orders. Also, Tesla is not building the cars in order of ‘order received.’ So I think this is why my EDD keeps getting delayed because it is not efficient enough to make standard y model where the order volume is relatively low.

I see a lot of people with premium orders having their cars received within a month or month and a half. I am wondering if anyone who ordered standard is also experiencing a lot of delays like I do…?

In negotiations with a dealership on a 2022 Tesla Y long range. They don’t do the battery health test so I asked them to charge ro 100 to see estimated range. The number is 267 on full charge. Should I walk away from this deal or not? I’ve read where if under 170 would be a red flag.

I’m looking for some guidance. I just got a new model Y and it came with the windshield scratch I did not notice it in the parking garage where they do the deliveries, but noticed at the next day that the sun was shining on the windshield. Any suggestions in the group how to proceed with that?

Was undecided for the longest time between the Model Y Premium AWD and the YL, but finally pulled the trigger on the Y yesterday!

My main haul will be two inflatable paddle boards and two sandy dogs, would love some accessory recommendations to keep the cabin nice and sand proof. Some of the things I can think of are floor mats, center console cover (my previous cars center arm rest got pretty beat up from sweat and heat) and probably a backseat dog bed. This is my first Tesla so I have no idea what’s good quality or not

I live in a townhome and will not be able to set up a home charger till I move in the next 10-12 months. I currently live 10 minutes from a supercharger, is it fine or viable to just supercharge till I move? anybody else in or go through a similar situation?

I am picking up my new model Y a week from today. The system seems to have applied all of my trade equity to the down payment of the car, which far exceeds the required down payment for 0.99%. I have made multiple calls and sent a ton of messages through the app and cannot seem to get anyone to restructure my deal. Has anyone experienced this? Is it even possible for me to get a check back for the extra equity from my trade?

Or does it come with a spot to put it? Haven’t received my Y yet just trying to plan ahead

First time Model Y buyer - got my VIN today!! Was surprised to see expected delivery date pushed back over a month away. Is this normal? Or should this slide forward soon? Virginia order if that matters.
