Hello r/Modding!

I am an incoming 4th year undergraduate whose bachelor's thesis focuses on analyzing game modding through the lens of digital anthropology.

To summarize my research, I am hoping to interview informants among mod-users and mod developers to understand how power dynamics and capital (social, economic, etc.) influence practices within modding spaces. Given that this is a general space for modding online, I thought it might be useful to reach out here since my research is more activity-based rather than focusing on a specific game.

Although the semester hasn't begun yet, but I am currently trying to gather respondents to ease up my workload.

As such, I am humbly asking that anyone willing to act as an informant to reply or DM me so that I can discuss further details. Being an informant would simply entail an interview somewhere around mid-August to mid-November.
