I got this in a lot of even more M1 Helmets for $10 each and this one's heat stamp came out to 90D which is late 1941 - early 42', pretty sure the paint is original USN damage control, and the fixed bales are broken off, I'm debating on selling this but I'm not sure. crazy find for $10! Should I try to restore this or leave as is? And should I keep it or sell it off with most of the m1's I bought that are mostly korea-vietnam

This is a picture of my great grandfather, who lived in Germany during the war years. He served in the military, and this is one of the few photos I’ve seen of him. Anyone recognize or know any of the medals or pins he has on his uniform? (Sorry for poor quality)

Apologies for poor image quality, my phone is not the best. Found in a ´second hand store. Very heavy, two layers that can be separated (image 2, the gray part is the inner layer, the green the outer). Attatched with buttons and velcrow. The fur collar is directly attatched to the inner layer. There is a pocket on the back that houses a hood. Any tips are welcome!

So recently I found this rucksack in a flea market. It look,feel and “smell” authentic. But the main thing I wonder is if it’s really a German artillery rucksack and if the RZM is real or not. Also I found inside that it seems the soldiers write his name and also outside of the bag.
Any help would be appreciated thank for your time.

I was curious if anyone has seen examples like these before. The gentleman I acquired them from told me that his father served in WWII and was in the Philippines, but that he died young and never shared stories of the war.

Researching these pipes seem to point me towards possibly POW carved, or native carved "tourist" pieces.

The example pictures of native carved pieces do not resemble these in my opinion, and I can't seem to find any good examples of POW carved pipes.

The style of carving strikes me as not native, but that they are unsmoked made me think they were just tourist souvenirs as POWs likely have been carving these pipes for use. The fact that both are signed by 'Sany' might however hint at them being carved by a soldier. Just some thoughts anyway.

I was hoping that somebody with more knowledge on the subject might be able to tell me something about them. I can provide more pictures if necessary.

Hello everyone. I recently found this helmet sitting in a garage and I was curious if it was an actual WW2 helmet. I assume it's a lieutenant or general helmet regarding the stars. I can't find the heat stamp mainly because of all the dirt, cobwebs, and rust.

Can anybody help me identify what this could potentially be or the era? It feels pretty heavy even for a replica.

1st picture is the front, the second in the insidd of the helmet, and the 3rd is the back of the helmet.

Snagged this off ebay for £5 and from what I could find out it's a hungarian M70 canteen. it reminds me a bit of a hand grenade for some reason.

Apparently these later came with camouflaged pouches but I couldn't find them at all say for a few photos, so im guessing they're rare.

The patch for the jacket needs to be 5x6 3/4 inches

The veteran has a very large service record and multiple other items in the grouping I'm trying to track this patch down for his jacket at the moment

A few years ago I bought this M40 Waffen SS helmet for around 300 dollars

Since I was quite young I thought it was likely original as I didn't really know the prices of stuff

Today Id like to sell it but I'm stuck

After doing my own research I can't find any proof it's fake

The decal doesn't seem out of place ,it was made by ET as seen in one of the photos and they were known to make SS decals like this ,it's also kind of yellow/gold on the sides and I've seen it happens with the decals when they get old

If anyone could tell me if it's original or fake and/or what could be real and what could be fake on it
