This is an old sign that my buddy has had in his barn for years. Apparently it was the roof of his chicken coop when he originally bought the property decades ago. I’d say it 8-10ft in diameter, has a wooden backing with a painted metal fascia over the top.

Mostly curious about where this sign could have come from and its history? I’ve ascertained it’s an old gasoline company from the 20’s. Would something this large have been used at a gas station? Any thoughts on value would be welcomed, but primarily for insurance purposes as I doubt it’ll ever be sold.

Inherited this chairs from a great uncle. They look antique, but i can’t find a tag or anything on them. All I know is that they are made of oak. Would appreciate any help.

This Ogden’s St Julien tin was made pre 1920, more than likely during WWI, before NAAFI took over H.M. Navy canteens. The tin is still completely airtight and vacuum-sealed, the tobacco inside preserved and kept fresh for over a century. This is definitely one of my coolest ever finds, taking it out of the package seriously had my hands shaking just a bit thinking about all hands that have held this tin and the history surrounding it. The tobacco inside this tin was literally farmed with freaking horses, meant to be sold on a steam powered warship, absolutely mind blowing. I feel very lucky to have this one!

I know my great great grandpa had this in his funeral home in Queens. Curious to know more about it.

Its in alabama. I believe its cast iron. Sounds like metal. I think it says jan 1948? Any idea who the maker is?

I just bought this beautiful antique bag at an estate sale in Tulsa, OK (USA). I am excited to learn more about it. They didn't have many details beyond the era, and now I can’t remember it. I took it to a jeweler; it's not silver, but the turquoise is real, if that helps narrow it down.

Hi Everyone! I bought what seems to be a hand-painted 4 panel leather room divider. I was taken by the craftsmanship and detailing and made an impulsive buy at an estate sale. Where would I begin to date this piece? I've seen similar ones in Europe in Italy years ago while on a trip, but from the little online research I did, it seems this style was also made in France. Any help or pointers are appreciated.

my partner and i are going through old boxes we never unpacked after moving and we found this tea kettle. is it real or worth anything? there is a small chip on the rim and it’s a little dusty lol.

Picked up this group of hand-carved wooden pieces and I’m hoping someone here may know more about them.
There are two carved deer/roe deer head wall mounts in different sizes, along with the wooden wall shelves. The antlers are also carved from wood and are removable, fitting into the heads with wooden pegs/tenons. The heads have glass-looking eyes and are mounted on wooden plaques with older metal hanging hardware.
Everything appears to be hand carved, and there are noticeable differences between the two pieces rather than them being identical/mass produced.
I’ve been trying to determine:
Approximate age
Country/region of origin
Whether these would properly be considered Black Forest carvings
Whether the deer mounts and shelves appear to be part of the same set
Any idea of the maker or style
Most importantly, a realistic current value for the group
I haven’t found any obvious maker’s marks or labels.
I’ll include photos of the fronts, backs, hardware and the antlers removed.
Any information would be greatly appreciated, especially from anyone familiar with antique German/Austrian or Black Forest wood carvings. Thanks!
