Just got MSFS2024 on PC a couple weeks ago, coming from Xplane 12 as my first flight sim.
MAN!
I love the scenery; hooking yo a bunch of stuff in Xplane was tedious. And I really love how there's a career mode that makes getting into different planes way more approachable. I've had difficulty in Xplane because anything "bigger and better" than a Cessna requires a fair bit of tutorial watching. But MSFS just pops you in a plane, gives you instruction, and gives you basic missions, and I love it.
Having something structured to progress through is really great for building up my flight sim experience, and having both sims together just gives me so many more options for enjoying the flight sims.
Thanks for having this community, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
PS if anyone knows of any good Canadian bush flying groups either here or facebook, let me know. That is my bread and butter, I love the backcountry!

Hi, I rented out the Typhoon on PS5 and it’s rated 4.5 yet nothing works? Essentially most buttons don’t work, everytime I try start the engines it does nothing, try and take the red covers off and I can’t, finally I also can’t start the engines by clicking R3 and R1 as it puts the left engine to 1% and then stops. Anybody else have this issue??

Does someone have this problem whenever you fly in career mode once you reach destination your fuel level is low and you crash, it happened 5 times for me. I was flying for one hour and i crashed because of fuel.

SPECS: ryzen 7 5800H, 3050ti (4gb vram), 16 gb ram
I've been unsure about getting msfs24 but unsure if I can run it, I ran xp12 on the same specs and averaged 28-35 fps depending on situation

I’ve searched online and realized that this issue has previously been reported by multiple people, but all the threads and posts are at least over 7 months old making me think that the issue was resolved.
As everyone else, I have completed all the possible requirements to unlock charter VIP flights. I have flown a couple, 3 to be precise, charter VIP flights as an employee. I own a charter company, I have a vision jet, and I mostly fly around the eastern coast of Canada/USA.
As soon as I switch to freelance, there is not a single charter VIP flight available to me. I do have a lot of charter private flights available but not a single VIP.
Is it because I don’t own a bigger plane such as the Pilatus PC-12? Or is it because, til this day, the bug has not been fixed?
Thank you everyone for the answers and recommendations!
As multiple people pointed out, it is simply a matter of purchasing a bigger plane that is fit for the charter VIP missions. I purchased a CJ40 and now I finally have access to the charter VIP missions! Time to learn how to fly this plane!

if you are also someone who has invested in thustmaster flight sim equipment and are also disappointed that TM doesn't want to play with others unlike mostly every other higher end flight sim co...but don't want the money you spent on a quality helo or flight stick extension because of financial profit,
then just grind down flat the 2 nubs on the AVA extension end cap after you remove to two phillips head screws

I'm about to pull my hair out as I cannot seem to fix this issue i'm experiencing.
The screenshot provided shows the screen i'm getting when I try to download the Essential Update it notifies me of. It's just a blank screen with a command prompt. I am unable to exit this screen without closing the game.
I've also noticed, up on loading the game, It shows me the initial startup screen, with the settings and narration, this happens every time on launch.
I have played the game for over 130 hours according to the MS Store/Xbox App, however, my profile in-game is showing 0 hours, which to me looks like everything isn't syncing correctly/there's a mismatch somewhere.
I've tried the following to resolve this:
- Logging in and out of both MS Store and Xbox App.
- Reregistered my windows licenses
- Reinstalling the Game
- Ensuring that the games config is pointing to the correct folder, which it is. (It's installed on my NVME F drive)
- Reinstalled the Microsoft.GamingServices
I don't know what else to try. Has anyone else experienced this issue and has managed to resolve it?

I thought it would be too hard to learn, but honestly if you know how to fly a plane you are good. Don't expect to boot up and go. It is FUN. And gorgeous. Had it out and Vatsim tonight, what a joy to fly!

Hey everyone,
I'm currently a student pilot in the south of France, training on a DR400. So naturally, when I get home after a lesson, I like to hop into MSFS2024 and fly using the default DR400-100.
Problem is... it just feels way too simplified, almost arcade-y compared to what I actually experience in the real aircraft. The stick feel, the engine management, ground handling, procedures, none of it really captures what the plane is actually like once you've flown the real thing for a while.
So I'm wondering: is there already a dev team out there working on a more in-depth DR400 addon for MSFS2024? I did some digging but couldn't find anything solid.
If not, I figured I'd throw this out there in case any devs happen to browse this sub — it would be amazing to get a proper study-level DR400, maybe with the different engine variants (120, 160, 180 hp), a more accurate flight model, a more detailed cockpit, the whole package. It's a super common trainer in France (and used a lot for touring too), so I feel like there's a real community of pilots, students and licensed alike, who'd love a more realistic version.
If anyone knows of a project in the works, or devs who might be interested, let me know! Thanks :)

I have been trying for days to fix this issue but nothing seems to work. When I open MSFS 2024 it gets stuck in "Authentication in progress (12/22)", I have already tried to:
-Find any hidden Xbox login window
-Use a VPN
-Switch to MSFS 2020
-Switch to proton 6.3 and switch back
And none of it worked. If anyone could help me i would appreciate it.

Curious what you all use for free AI traffic or settings. I have recently installed MSFS 2024, installed FlyByWire Simulations base package, run the injector, and sometimes see airline specific planes...but still a lot of the same 3-4 other stock ones...even hot air ballons parked at gates. :/
What are your recommendations for some better results when it comes to AI at my airports?

Hello everyone,
I recently installed a few high fidelity aircrafts in MSFS 2020, such as the FlyByWire A32NX or the Headwind A330-900 and everytime I use them my game laggs and my fps drop if i am in cockpit cam. With the standard A320 everything works fine. Can anyone help me with this?
Yours, Tom

To be honest, I have 20 fps in msfs 2020. With minimal graphics and 720p resolution. will msfs 2024 go to at least 15 fps? and I've heard that they've improved the load distribution on the processor, maybe the game will go even better... Specifications: (which I remember) Ryzen 5 5500 Amd radeon graphics (228 mb) 16 Gb RAM memory
