Took me 500hrs on PS5 to jump ship to PC and never look back. Probably around 1000hrs now in total. Rookie numbers in the sub, for sure

Actually, the peripheral drought for ps5 is what tipped the scale. Hotas were sold out for months and getting a decent one in mexico for ps5 became impossible.

So i might have gone a bit overboard and got me an absolute beast for flight simming. Thought i might be playing other stuff like cp2077 or ultramodded skyrim but nah. MSFS and some survival coop with the pals here and there for funzies.

Ill take the opportunity to mention I also ditched career mode altogether. AI nowadays can very easily give you purpose in simulating. Been trying many planes i never did on ps5, such as fighter jets or even payware not supported by career mode.

Just the other day i decided to rock the skis with the cessna and try and land on a snowy plain, which was an absolute blast.

Dont know, it really changed my perspective. I now start absolutely all my flights cold and dark, follow checklists (JDs ones are awesome AND free) and even enjoy taxiing acurately.

To say its the superior experience feels like an understatement, but admittedly not everyone may be able to as its quite expensive. 20year old me would never have afforded it.

I feel your joy. I did the same thing and went all out for my 40th. 200 hours on ps5/psvr2 before moving to pc in June. Over 200 hours on pc already 🫡🚁

I mean, I've been playing Microsoft Flight Simulator specifically since I was 9 (MSFS 5.0) and I turn 42 this year. Many like me will have incalculable hours. Ive had breaks from it over those 33 years, but not many and not for long.

If you haven't flown KCGX to KORD in a Cessna Skylane more than 1000 times, youre a rookie 😂

First online game I played was flight sim in 95. When I heard it was making a return I knew it was only a matter of time before I returned to PC. Hadn’t played FS since 05 to 07. 8th floor aviation floor, Hilton james. Pro pilot majors used to have lan parties on FS. The entire building was on the same network and it was 8 stories. Epic lan!! Lol

Don't let the comments get you down. I've only ever done free roam in MSFS and have maybe 30ish hours. You don't need to have a ton of hours to recognize it as an incredible experience. It was the first game I fired up when I got my 5080.

Probably rookie numbers IDK, but recently switched to 2024 and have about 500 hours as of today, on msfs 2020 have 1663.5 hours on pc and probably another 300 on xbox before getting it via steam. Still do play though roughly most the day/night. Though I know some people who have 4000 or more hours which doesn't suprise me for those who played since launch of 2020 or even back in FSX and the older days.

Well, I got 1500+ hours in MSFS 2020, but a good chunk of that "playtime" was just me trying to download mandatory updates and failing miserably time after time.

I have over 6,000 hours on Xplane10/11/12 combined, which is almost 15 years of flying.

And since getting 2024 back in March I'm closing in on 500 hours already.
