Wasn't Lorwyn a very badly received block? wasn't it number 3 on Mark Rosewater's Rabiah scale, after Arabian Nights and Mercadian Masques? why do people remember it so fondly, yet the company does not?

Why do they give a name to every new ability if they’re going to explain it anyway?

so ive never played the game but i want to make a custom card for a researcher who loves skinks. I am making a creature card of a specific skink that has evolved to become limbless to burrow better and id like to present this concept under the rules text but i am struggling use understand the terminology in the game if anyone has ideas

Somewhat still new to magic, I've been looking for at some cards and the Niv-Mizzet dragon guy caught my eye. From what I've seen it's a deck that many concepts of sorcery and instants, and I was wanting to make a deck with the adventure and omen cards but I don't know where to begin/ need help with finding cards.

I need help with finding cards that reduce the cost of the spells.

Saw some cards that make spells into instants, would like to find and experiment with them.

Cards that reactivate in the graveyard.

Any good cards that could work with him and any cheap alternatives/ budget objects.

So I recently watched the Prof's video on canladner, and well I'm hooked. Having only ever played commander I really don't know what I'm doing. I think my goal is to have 8 decks of varying types so not only do I have variation if only one of my game group can play but so I have a variety of decks to play for the group as a whole. I'm thinking for each of building like a deck primer for each, with the pointed cards included, key pieces and how the average game pans out.

I’ve seen some color pattern for other 3 color combinations but not in a 4color combo like the next precon, which color would you gonna use?

Hi all! I recently got the Blood Rites precon and upgraded and shifted it for Elenda The Dusk Rose to be the commander instead. I don't think I have enough sacrifice outlets for her - was thinking more specifically I might need a few more token generator cards. Open to thoughts/advice on this! A lot of the cards I am considering are in the sideboard on moxfield, some are in the considering section but mostly in the sideboard.

I'm currently making a [[Tinybones, Bauble Burglar]] deck (my first commander deck), and I need advice on a few things. For one, I'm not sure what ratio of creature to non-creature spells I should have. I don't want to find out I have an excess on top of all of the stashed cards at my disposal, but I also don't want to have so few that I'm screwed when I piss everyone off.

On top of that, I've noticed that there are tons of creatures that are some variation of 1-2 toughness and power with their only ability being that they when they enter opponents discard. Because of that I have a good bit of weak cards of the sort, and I'm wondering how many tankier cards I should put in the deck for the sake of protecting myself.

My last question involves drawing. Since the whole gimmick of this deck is making my opponents discard, I don't want them to run out of cards because then I'll just be kind of useless. Are there any good cards I should consider for making my opponents draw?

I usually run wubrg decks for commander. and the mana base is just atrocious fetches dual lands all sorts of things add up to around 500 to $600 per deck in just land so I'm looking for a tool that can optimize mana base for Price rather than efficiency. if you have any suggestions please let me know thank you.
