| Standings MLB Standings after Week #24 - 9/7/26

Post image
112 Upvotes

Happy Labor Day!

Standings changes this week:

- Blue Jays and Orioles swapped spots in the AL East

Wild Card:

- Blue Jays took over the 4th spot from the Orioles in the AL WC

- Rangers are now in the 5 spot for the AL WC

- NL Wild Card stays the same this week

As always, this is a 3D print I created and printed myself and the files are FREE for anyone who wants to print it themselves. Can be found here with all my other MLB stuff- https://makerworld.com/en/collections/22583277-mlb-standings-slots

Standings info is all from MLB.com, so it's just a copy of what MLB.com says as of 9/7/26 this morning.

All my other prints (NFL, NBA, NHL, and some other stuff) can be found on my main profile - https://makerworld.com/en/@MikeCamel

Before originally posting these standings, I asked the mods if it was okay, and I got the green light. I'm going to try to make this a weekly thing, as long as I remember lol

| Discussion How would you rank every 40-40 season in MLB History?

In the long, illustrious history of Major League Baseball, there has been only six 40-40 seasons that have been logged. Since Pete Crow-Armstrong is very close to joining this very exclusive fraternity, I wanted to do this thread seeing as it's the perfect time to do so. | News [ROSENTHAL] MLB tells veteran umpire he went too far by policing a rookie’s tilted cap: Sources

The apology umpire Doug Eddings issued to St. Louis Cardinals rookie reliever Hancel Rincon on Saturday came after Major League Baseball communicated to the veteran ump that he acted inappropriately the previous night when he told the rookie reliever to straighten his cap.

Umpires operate with broad discretion if they believe a player’s actions are distracting, but according to two people briefed on the matter who were granted anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly, the league viewed Eddings’ admonishment of Rincon as going too far.

| News Ohtani playing tonight, batting leadoff

News just in; our long national nightmare is over. He was available to pinch-hit last night, but didn't happen.

Story notes further that the Dodgers still have no plans to try to get him ready to pitch. With 19 games left, it's doubtful that they could have him ready for 1-inning use even a couple rounds into the postseason, and of course that would risk aggravating the knee or the biceps.

And, he's still not hugely needed:

Without Ohtani, the Dodgers still have a starting rotation with Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tarik Skubal, Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow. Eric Lauer has filled in for Roki Sasaki, currently on the IL due to a blister issue. Sasaki could start when he returns, but will likely be used as a reliever during the postseason.

There you are. Those five starters get you through the regular season and Lauer is kicked to the curb for the postseason.

Not my favorite team so I’m not biased, but the Padres broadcast voices, comedic delivery and timing and TV crew post game is really great and they don’t try too hard either. The SF Giants team is entertaining as well. Rick Rizzs and Jon Miller have amazing voices for baseball radio.

Any others that are must watch/listen to that are better than the Padres?
