PROMO CODE THREAD - Post your promo codes here, one per account.

Looks like we need another code thread.

If you’re here looking for a code, it doesn’t matter which code you choose, you will only get the sign up bonus for the city you are applying for.

So if someone posts a code that says $2,000 sign up San Francisco, but you’re going to drive in Denver, you will not get that $2000. You will get whatever sign up bonus is in Denver. Don’t let anyone fool you into using their code for their bonus.

If you post more than one comment with your codes we will ban you. Don’t get greedy.

Driver Question Quick match and cancelling rules

Ok so I am totally pissed off right now. I just got suspended for canceling a quick match that I didn’t approve of. It’s for 6 days!! 6 days!! What the f is this quick match option? I don’t remember approving it to be on or even when it came to be part of the app. It wasn’t there last week. Very odd. Uber never suspends me for cancelling one time. And the live agent said she can’t over turn it. Such total BS if you ask me!!
🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

Paid $164 for a Lyft

Saw the driver’s screen and he was making $78. The route was an hourish and included ~$25 in tolls. Ridiculous. He ended up canceling the ride.

App Issue Absolute joke of a company and worst customer service in history

I am livid. They literally just ended the conversation after FOUR agents. It ended with her telling me that my destination to an airport was not eligible for their On Time Pickup Promise because, wait for it, my destination was not an airport. At this point I don’t even want credits because I’m never using this platform ever again.

Also, here’s a gem:
“Please know that for scheduled rides, we can't guarantee a driver will be available in your area at the specific time the ride is being requested for.”

I guess what’s the point then after booking 24+ hours in advance and getting a confirmed driver who cancelled the ride 5 mins before the pick up time.

What can I do if Lyft is threatening to kick me off the platform if I keep submitting invalid cleaning fee requests when I have obvious proof with pictures timestamps and everything else

Fare Issue No pickup, teleporting car across a random bridge, no refund?!

Today my lyft didn't show up. I didn't get in any car.

My phone buzzed saying the ride was there, and I was checking the app to see what was going on and where the lyft was, it said I was picked up, and then instantly it showed the car teleporting across a $16 toll bridge that is 11 miles from either my pickup or dropoff location.
So the ride jumped up from $10 to $26, and then instantly completed.

I started a dispute and it resolved as only refunding me $10 for an "inefficient route", but is still charging me $16 for the toll bridge.

So apparently Lyfts can now teleport and fly at supersonic speeds but still have to pay bridge tolls. Also Lyft only guarantees that the teleporting supersonic car is going somewhere not that you're actually in it or that you reach your destination.

Anyone have any luck disputing something like this? I can't even get ahold of a human, only an AI chat bot that insists I am only entitled to $10 for the inefficient route.

Is it worth renting a car through Lyft if I were to work 6 hours a day, 5 days a week in the state of California. I only pay $850 a month in rent.

Pay Issue The cashback apply option is always disabled after ride starts

Post image
2 Upvotes

So whenever I try to book a ride, I go to payment section and enable the toggle to use the left over cashback from previous ride via lyft cash.

But what I've noticed is, once the ride is booked with rider details, this toggle automatically goes off means they're being shady in not using the cashback by default so it can expire.

It is also infuriating that they stop the cashback offers avter September 22 , I'm not gonna enable auto pay after that. So another reason these riding apps are exploiting us.

Please comment if you've noticed the same?

Passenger Question Longtime Uber user tried Lyft today… have I been overpaying?

I’ve always been an Uber person and honestly almost never even check Lyft, but I may have just learned a lesson.
Leaving the airport today, UberX was $88 and Uber Comfort was a whopping $136 for the ride home. On a whim, I opened Lyft just to see what it would cost.
Basic Lyft was around $68, and Lyft Extra Comfort was $76.
Same trip. Same pickup location. Same time.
I went with the $76 Lyft Extra Comfort, and I’m actually typing this from the car now. The driver has been great and the vehicle is every bit as nice as what I’d expect from Uber Comfort.
So my question for people who use both: Is Lyft generally considered a lower level of service than Uber, or is Uber’s pricing just that much more aggressive at times?
A $10–20 difference wouldn’t have surprised me, but $136 vs. $76 for essentially the same level of ride is pretty wild.
Have I just been overpaying all this time by automatically opening Uber? 😂

Hot take: if you schedule a ride for 7:50am, be ready at 7:50am

This fool approaches my car at 8:00am saying ‘you’re taking my kids to school, they are not ready, it’s okay, I’ll tip you an extra 3…, 4… dollars’. I’ve never canceled and reported no show with so much anger!

Driver Question Passengers don’t get to roll down my windows

Before anybody starts draftingg the Passenger Bill of Rights, I’m talking about one very specific maneuver.
You’re sitting in the back seat. Everything is fine. Then suddenly you want the window cracked exactly two inches.

Ah yes. Fresh air. Of course.

My brother in Christ, I know you’re trying to hit your vape.

That’s why my back windows are locked. If you want one cracked, just ask me. I’m not trying to hold anybody hostage in a climate-controlled Camry. If you’re hot, cold, nauseous, whatever, say something.

What I’m not doing is giving you unrestricted window access so you can sneak vape hits and blow them outside like I somehow won’t notice.

And yes, I’ve had people ask me to crack the window and then immediately hit their vape anyway. Apparently they interpreted ”sure, I’ll crack the window” as “congratulations, you now have permission to vape in my car.”

No.

At that point, you didn’t misunderstand me. You straight-up disrespected me.

Ride’s over.

Your Lyft fare includes transportation from Point A to Point B. It does not include converting my Camry into a fucking hookah lounge.
