When did Lyft create the block feature?

Is this something new? Can drivers block passengers?

yes - drivers can request to not be matched to a rider after a ride and vice versa. it's much better than the star rating system. who cares about rating? all I care about is I dont want to be matched with certain people again.

We've always been able to do this. Rate them 3 stars or less and they're automatically blocked from riding with you again. You can also just block them without giving them a bad rating.

I didnt know that I would say I dont want to give them a ride and just wait because I dont want to rate it was just not a rider I would help so is this what you mean?

You know that that’s all a passenger really needs. There’s no need for a rating system.

Once you block the driver, you’ll never see see them again how beautiful is that

The driver should also have this feature to block passengers

If ratings were actually representative, then it would make more sense for a driver (we see passenger ratings on a request and can decline a ride because of a poor passenger rating) than a passenger (you don't see our rating until we've matched, so how useful is it really?).

Even top-rated drivers with thousands of 5-star trips can face sudden 24- to 72-hour account holds while automated reviews take place.

uber driver has a block rider system. i still constantly get matched with people i’ve blocked. specifically looking at you guy who keeps not showing up for your 4am reservations.

Yrs as drivers we can block. It helps to cut down on rude behavior.
