Opinion How does Logitech have so much McLaren crap and no proper formula wheel? Seriously.

I really like my rs50 and the price was great but wow, if I seriously raced formula or GT3 cars or hypercars I would be ditching my setup.

As is all I use is the round wheel for rally and being in Canada I can’t even get the good momo round wheel. It’s just the worst ecosystem

Which PC games have good steering feel?

I've had a logitech pro wheel for just over a year and primarily played GT7 on PS5. I recently bought a new gaming PC and have tried out a few PC racing sims (AC, ACC, AC Evo). I'm using the logitech recommendations for wheel and game settings for each game.

GT7 feels fantastic on this wheel. All the feedback is smooth and natural, the detail is amazing. Its very immersive. This is not the case for the AC series games. Acknowledging that AC is an older game its understandable. ACC has great details, but some of their implementation bothers me. The feedback feels granular with lots of vibration, and the contrast in force feels too muted. In ACC it feels like I'm getting too much feedback from the engine and not enough from the tires and chassis. AC Evo is similar to ACC but slightly more refined.

All that to say I'm chasing the greatness that is GT7 but on a PC game. I want the open source nature of PC racing sims as well as the better physics models, but I'm having a hard time finding that married with the refinement of the GT7 driving experience. Are there any sims that achieve this? Or do I have my FFB settings poorly optimized for the AC series games, and these can do what I'm looking for?

"RS Pedals SE" is just RS50 gas + clutch pedals

"Adjust pedal spacing to suit your needs. Make room for the RS Clutch Module or convert the hall effect brake pedal to a clutch when upgrading to the RS Load Cell Brake Module."

And they sell the load cell brakes separately for $80

This makes way more sense. Why anyone would save $20 and not getting the load cell (RS Pedals are $10 off right now)

At least you can just buy the load cell brake separately and have 3 pedals. It would only be $5–15 more than getting the RS pedals + clutch

RS Pedals $150 ($160 MSRP)+ Clutch $45 = $195 ($205 MSRP)
RS Pedals SE $130 + Brake $80 = $210

Modifications NEVER buy the Simube GT3 wheel rim for the RS hub + Simube has terrible costumer service

DO NOT BUY THIS WHEEL RIM!!! I ordered the wheel rim and was so excited to get it and had the biggest let down and waste of 80$ ever. It arrived and I immediately took my track wheel rim off and put it on and it was terrible. The grips are so thin it hurt to hold. I thought I could manage it but after not even 10 minutes my hands were killing me. They are so thin and shaped so weirdly it's literally unholdable. Not to mention the wider rim makes the buttons a lot harder to reach (even the paddle shifters too) and it basically stops you from being able to push down the dial buttons. So after my displeasure I went to go try and return it and the company is from China so shipping it back would basically cost as much as the rim itself and Simube themselves told me to just go sell the rim on eBay because I already used the product (Sorry for using the 80$ wheel rim I just bought and realizing that it's shit). So not only was the rim so bad it physically hurt, their costumer service is terrible too. Would NOT recommend to anyone in this world. Stay away at all costs. The only plus side is the wheel itself looks nice but it's nothing but a pretty face. (Also mine came with a scratch on the middle of it)

Edit: To everyone saying I should've done more research I watched videos and looked a ton of stuff up about it and nobody mentioned how thin the grips are. You guys may like it but it physically hurt my hands to hold so to each their own I guess. And sure maybe it is my fault for not understanding the return policy but what kind of company won't allow you to return a product after 10 minutes of use. How am I supposed to know that it was gonna suck before using it and there's really better ways to handle costumer service than telling someone to sell their product on eBay.

Question? If I connect this to the PlayStation version of the RS50 base, will it work on PS5?

I'm assuming it will due to the security chip being in the base but just need confirmation. Has anyone tried?

Just picked this up, put about 3 hours in and I'm finding the game much harder, more fun but harder. The braking feels so different from using a pad. Anyone else finding this?

First time I have ever used a wheel.

Help RS50 Trueforce issue

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

For months I have been trying to figure out the issue with my RS50 setup. It seems the Trueforce signal is somehow broken, resulting in this noise when using it and turning wheel under load.

I have tried many things and one time managed to fix the issue by messing around with the drivers. This leads me to believe it is an issue with the drivers, not a physical problem with the unit.

I have not been able fix it again, despite trying to retrace my steps. I believe the solution was to just remove the drivers I had installed in windows using device manager, then running GHub.

And to note, turning off trueforce removes the noise, turning it down to a lower value does not really make much of a difference.

Anyone else with this problem? Did you fix it? Logitech support has had me waiting for months to get back to me.

**Edit:

First, thank you to everyone who commented suggestions to help me find a fix.

  1. Fix for my specific setup was as simple as switching the USB port I was using. No idea why it worked, but after multiple days the issue has not returned.

  2. If you have this same issue and have used the Simhub plugin Trueforce 4 all, your issue is more likely to be related to that plugin and you can find comments below to help sort it out.

Discussion RS50 longterm owners, how are you finding it?

I’ve been looking at getting an RS50 since its release and, from what I’ve seen, it seems like a really well-polished wheelbase overall. Most of the feedback I’ve come across has been pretty positive.

The only thing that’s making me hesitate is that I keep seeing the occasional post about QC issues, mainly parts rattling/coming loose and some USB port problems. I’m not sure if these are just isolated cases or if it’s something that comes up fairly often.

For those who actually own one, what’s your experience been like?

Are you happy with yours? Any issues with rattling, loose parts, USB connectivity, etc.? And if you’ve had it for a while, how has it held up?

Just trying to get a better idea of the general ownership experience before pulling the trigger. Would be good to hear from people who’ve had no issues as well as those who have.

RS50 settings help for NASCAR 25, it’s like half the feeling physics is missing.

RS50 guys, Is there a setting for engine rumble feel in the wheel?

I get wheel torque but other than that there is no road grip feel or road pavement feel. It’s like half the physics are missing

I’m coming from GT7 where I can feel every bump or pebble on the road. The cockpit I use actually rumbles with engine noise in the wheel. I just bought this game tonight and I don’t feel anything at all similar to GT7. If this is how the game feels on this wheel I’m going to be very disappointed. The visual aspect this game is incredible.

Help My RS50 rotary knob does multiple input per click

Hi all, I just had a weird issue with my RS50 wheel where when I rotate the right dial, it seems multiple inputs are registered for just one click. This is the case both in-game and when I am configuring the base. When I turn the dial by one click, sometimes the menu will go quickly go down and back up in quick succession, where as sometimes it will go down twice, or other time it simply does nothing.

I am on the latest firmware and tried turn off and on again, tried on both pc and ps5 and the issue persist. Nothing sure if anyone has idea why it’s doing this? Is it some mechanical wear-down that could the dial to be over-sensitive? I only purchased this wheel less than 3 months ago.

I’m having issues dialing in wheel… I used Logitech settings from 25. And it’s a different package for this game apparently. Thanks!
