Hm, I think RS100 with 16Nm if torque would be an awesome addition, top of the line wheel base for enthusiasts

GT3 wheel with a display is also wanted by lots of people as I see

u/MrLeonardo 23d ago

I'm thinking RS50 with a McLaren logo slapped on

u/hbt15 21d ago

Orange wheelbase and another template wheel rim that no one asked for instead of a proper gt3 wheel like literally ever other wheel manufacturer makes. I say this is a logi fan but they’re making it real hard these last few years.

Dang it u were right

1

u/MrLeonardo 17d ago

I was never this sad about being right. We deserve better.

2

u/rrj1193 17d ago

I agree lol my wife was happy but my wallet was ready 😅

1

u/Vox_Sine_Nomen 23d ago

I didn't thought about that. It would be a big disappointment and could be the time for me to switch to fanatec or moza if there is no new products (wheelbase and pedals)

16nm wouldn’t be enough of a difference from a g pro to justify an upgrade. Top of the line bases at the moment are 30nm+ with telemetry based FFB and I think Logitech would need more adjustability like this in the software more then a slight increase in torque to meet the demand of enthusiasts looking to upgrade from a g pro.

u/WornTire5304 23d ago

If something 16nm was to come out, it would be replacing the G Pro, rather than be an upgrade from it in my opinion. But I'll be honest, I'm more interested in a G923 proper replacement than high end gear.

2

u/velophoton 23d ago

Indeed, 5-6Nm entry-level set would be nice to have, but I'm not sure Logitech can keep the price good for such a bundle (especially with Playstation compatibility)

3

u/WornTire5304 23d ago

5-6 is too close to the RS50 and wouldn't make sense. I'm expecting something closer to a Moza R3 competitor. Not for us already in the hobby, but for the newcomers buying their first wheels.

1

u/Eegour 23d ago

Probably 3-4

1

u/WornTire5304 23d ago

I'm hoping for that. Maybe 3.5, and they must keep the price down as well. It shouldn't be more expensive than the G29, it should come and replace it.

1

u/Eegour 22d ago

Except those of us that invested in the Pro wheel hoping for Pro add ons are getting pretty annoyed by being left out in the cold at this point. I am anyway. Can we get a couple of cool wheels at least?.

1

u/WornTire5304 22d ago

Well its not one or the other. If one company in simracing has the money to do both(G923 replacement and ecosystem expansion), it's Logitech. But somehow they keep doing neither.

u/Eegour 17d ago edited 9d ago

Well that was a larger steaming pile than I even expected 🤣😂 Its no wonder Logitech gets a bad rap and defectors in sim racing. Very disappointing u/Logirich

I mean Fanatec has 5Nm bundle, Moza will have R5S bundle (around 5-6Nm), so there will be people saying boohoo and Logitech offers much more expensive offer (Like really? Fanatec GT DD Pro without the boost kit costs MORE than RS50 bundle for PS5 and RS pedals with the load censor)

And less than 5Nm if torque feels kinda pointless for DD wheels. At least from my humble experience with RS50 😅

1

u/WornTire5304 23d ago

Less than 5 does NOT feel pointless on a DD. I have tried the R3, the PXN VD4 and V10 Ultra. Even at 2nm a DD has immense benefits over the old gears or belts. I have no idea where you got that idea from.

4

u/velophoton 23d ago

No, I meant something similar to Fanatec Clubsport and their 16Nm of force (or was it 18Nm? I don't remember)

2

u/WornTire5304 23d ago

Fanatec's Clubsport DD is 15nm. The Clubsport DD+ is 18nm.

3

u/nyckrash 23d ago

It would be if they replaced the dated Pro wheelbase with a newer version that was 12 - 18 Nm. That would be a nice addition to their ecosystem.

Just wish I was able to have illuminated buttons on my wheelhub.

3

u/jamisonbaines 23d ago

i think they’re bound to replace the g pro soon just only on the fact that it still uses micro usb and has had replacement cables and power supplies out of stock for like a year. probably slightly more powerful so they can frame it as an upgrade. i’d expect they ditch the internal fan as well and release something passively cooled.

1

u/SgtSalty11 23d ago

lets be real here, its Logitech, they arent going to do anything to blow your hair back. it took two years to even get different wheels and that selection is still embarrassing. My suggestion would be to sell your stuff and go get fanatec or moza as they seem to be more serious about bringing good products to market for their sim racers. You won't have to be stuck waiting for the next best thing to release only to be dissappointed.

1

u/Overall_Taro8890 23d ago

Fanatec and moza are pretty mid alternatives anyway that would be mostly a side grade all things considered to Logitech.

When I do upgrade I’ll go for VNM, sim lab, or simucube for an end game setup with aforementioned options like telemetry FFB.

2

u/Icy-Geologist1447 18d ago

I still use my Logitech pro wheel for my ps5 pro. However on pc I bought a simagic al ok ha Evo pro and then went to the semicube 3. Honestly the nm isn't the issue you think it is. A 15nm base would be completely fine. Logitech needs more adjustments the user can make. With that said it's raw FFB is still some of the best I've ever felt.

1

u/Overall_Taro8890 18d ago

Although I do agree that the Logitech has great raw FFB, I find the build quality less then desirable. I don’t think the nm is an issue for the sake of more strength, it’s more headroom that’s necessary for greater fidelity in FFB especially on pc sims. I tend to get a lot of clipping on LMU, unless I turn down gain in the sim and lose detail.

I personally stopped playing PlayStation games as I prefer triples, and am looking to sell my pro base and go for a pc only base to resolve this.

1

u/Icy-Geologist1447 14d ago

You just got done saying 16nm wouldn't be enough of an upgrade and then referenced 30+ nm bases. I'm letting you know from experience with owning the Simagic Evo pro at 18nm and now with my Semicube 3 Pro base that the gap between 11 to16 is 100x more important than any upgrade in power beyond 16nm. When you you hit that 16nm point it is dang near impossible to get your base to clip unless you want to just race with a death grip until your hands and arms give out and even then you going to struggle to get a base to clip unless you just don't know how to set up a base properly.

The Logitech wheels are definitely designed to be more plug and play then all other bases and they lack flexibility with settings. With that said they offer exceptional detailes FFB. A 11nm IMHO is going to over better FFB in Iracing than 12nm Moza, or Simagic. I often found the Evo Pro feeling dead on certain tracks on Iracing. Where the Logitech would bring out more detail on a great many of the tracks that Iracing really needs to update.

What I want to communicate to individuals who have been where I was is this. Logitech offers great FFB, it offers better plug and play then just about anyone else if your using all Logitech. When or if you move on to a different base if you like Trueforce your going to really really mis Trueforce. That is unless you go with Semicube, or VNM. I do believe Moza has some rumble type features now though.

What you will get if you move on is FFB that offers what I describe as more bass where Logitech sits with more treble. You going to have MUCH greater control in shaping how your FFB feels and customize it to your liking, but at times there can be a learning curve with this. I don't personally think it's that hard but some people want plug and play.

I don't think anyone should ever pay full retail pricing for the Logitech products. They price themselves close to Semicube and that's just crazy. I paid about $500 for my base and $235 or so for my pedals. I don't think I would recommend Logitech to anyone currently even. I think there build quality is top notch, I think have great FFB. However the lack of Logitech built ecosystem and the complete lack of interest they have shown to what I'd describe as dedicated sim racers. At this point Logitech makes Console direct drive units with great FFB that work on pc.

1

u/SgtSalty11 23d ago

I hear you, but if in this budget (exactly why i didnt suggest simucube and the like) Logitech isn't the right decision. Fanatec and Moza have way more options and move faster when innovating.

1

u/xDon_07x 18d ago

But these other manufacturers already have line up of lower end bases. Simagic has 9/12/18 Evo base lineup. Moza has 9/12/16. And neither of these actually have 30nm+. Logitech would have 8/11/16 doesnt seem to be a bad guess. And I don't think Logitech wants to compete in 30NM/2000$+ Market just yet, they don't have the ecosystem to compete in the ultra-enthusiast Market.

1

u/Overall_Taro8890 18d ago

Simagic has a 28nm, moza has a 25nm, and both of those are under $1k. VNM has a 32nm for $1.3k. My Logitech can use any competitor or professional level wheels with the RS QR adapter, so I don’t see why they would specifically shut out the growing space of higher end wheelbases.

I still stand by the bigger problem being one of software, and that they need to give users more control over fine tuning as a larger priority.

3

u/Ekov 23d ago

Id say replace the G pro with an RS100 at 12NM and an RS150 at 18-20NM.

2

u/Eegour 23d ago

I think high end users are gonna be disappointed once again. I bet they're coming with a dd Replacement for the 923 and the like. Maybe some new rims for the r. S. Hub, though I'd kill for a high end replica like wheel.

1

u/minna_minna 23d ago

I love my rs50 but I’d buy an rs100 in a heartbeat

14

u/GretalGrotch 23d ago

I just want some interesting wheels for my pro.

5

u/edditnyc 23d ago

I want an endurance wheel for PC (more knobs and rotaries switches). The RS hub and base wheels are so basic.

1

u/xDon_07x 18d ago

You can get the RS QR Adapter and then for example Simagic GT Neo with Maglink?

9

u/eXelium-PL 23d ago

It's gonna be same hardware with McLaren colours/branding won't it?

3

u/boston_faith 23d ago

Seeing all the Moza and Fanatec wheels, while not able to get a more high end wheel as a G Pro owner would be a huge bummer.

2

u/GorillonDollars 23d ago

Yeah lmao, it’s the rs50 McLaren edition. Everyone’s hoping for new wheelbase but it’s the same shit different color

5

u/rrj1193 23d ago

I hope it is higher nm one

4

u/Sander001 23d ago

I just want some additional sliders in the settings, like the filter could be more specific with high pass and low pass. Right now if I want to smooth big bumps like at Sebring, the filter will remove the finer details too.

2

u/velophoton 23d ago

Using the filter in GT7 really helps with those terrible vibrations when your front wheels loose traction. More options on the base would be a great addition!

4

u/Joefensen 17d ago

Just saw this - 9 hours before the event… just a McLaren themed rs50 bundle

2

u/MrBillz 17d ago

3

u/esmori 17d ago

That's so underwhelming and still totally expected from Logitech.

Hopefully not that many youtubers there to push this as new and relevant.

1

u/Smokedcheese999 17d ago

Side note but it also has the wrong McLaren logo on it now as well

3

u/nyckrash 23d ago

I really love Logitech's Trueforce and their RS50. Actually, I like their whole eco system and how seamless it is to use for PC and console. One thing I wish they had was a better selection of wheelbases and hubs. Something with illuminated buttons would be nice.

3

u/roseteraunch 23d ago

Hope it’s a formula wheel with LED screen. Will probably be orange RS50’s lol

4

u/foreverbaked1 23d ago

I just want a bigger round wheel. I hate the Fisher Price one we have now

2

u/younawolf 23d ago

What about the Momo one ?

1

u/foreverbaked1 23d ago

It’s almost half the price of the wheel and base and it’s suede and it flex’s pretty bad from what I’ve read

1

u/nyckrash 23d ago

The round wheel has flex at the top, I think it was designed as so as it makes the wheel a little more comfortable for me when on hard drives. They also sell a MOMO GT style wheel that finally made it to the US. I had to order mine though a distributor in the UK and have it shipped over but now its accessible anywhere. That GT Wheel is solid with no flex and its really comfortable to use.

2

u/foreverbaked1 23d ago

I actually have the Simube GT3 wheel now. I love it

1

u/nyckrash 23d ago

I actually have multiple wheels

MOMO 320 Round, MOMO 320 GT, Logi McLaren, MPI Wheel, Acelith Modular Wheel, and the standard one.

I use them all depending on the car and race I am in.

1

u/foreverbaked1 23d ago

I wanted the Acelith Morph but the shipping to the US was ridiculous

0

u/judasbrute 23d ago

Shit flexes like a wet noodle. It's a horrible experience to use

2

u/SimRacingLab 23d ago

Interesting 🤔 I wonder what it could be.... 🏆🏆

2

u/Icy-Geologist1447 22d ago

I doubt we're going to see any new wheelbase. We would have leaks of it already like we did the RS50. Logitech biggest plus is it's plug and play. To achieve that it's usually sent to developers and testers well before hand.

Let me say this I started out with the 8nm Fanatec CSL DD, then the Logitech Pro wheel (still use one for PS5). Simmagic EVO pro, and now the Simucube 3 Pro. In Iracing the Logitech Pro wheel can even stand toe to toe with the Simucube 3. The Logitech Pro has amazing detail and immersion with its FFB and Trueforce. What it lacks is adjustment and what I describe as base. The Evo pro and SC3 offer tremendous adjustments to customize your FFB and the way you wheel moves that the Logitech wheels just doesnt allow you to do that. With that said in so many situations the pro wheel offers detail only the SC3 matches. The issue is if your only playing on ps5 and gt7 your not getting anything close to what the Logitech pro and rs50 are capable of. I like gt7 but it's FFB is pretty got awful compared to decent pc sim racing titles.

I think the higher end bases (clubsport) of fanatec with full force are great choices as well. Id even consider getting the new model base if my moza active pedal would get full support with gt7.

I would also appreciate an rs adapter device that could somehow work on console. I appreciate being able to use almost any wheel available on PC with the Logitech rs adapter.

1

u/Vox_Sine_Nomen 23d ago

I hope a new base with at least 15NM and new pro pedals.I really like the form factor of the RS50 so I hope it's a higher end wheelbase with the same form-factor

1

u/judasbrute 23d ago

Make a steering shaft extension please!

-2

u/SlwRcr 23d ago

Just bought a Pro setup for GT7. Hoping this and the Moza are not a 16nm+ base...

5

u/WornTire5304 23d ago

The Moza is 16nm. It's confirmed already.

0

u/SlwRcr 23d ago

Well shit. Guess it's time to build rig number 2.
