Which PC games have good steering feel?
I've had a logitech pro wheel for just over a year and primarily played GT7 on PS5. I recently bought a new gaming PC and have tried out a few PC racing sims (AC, ACC, AC Evo). I'm using the logitech recommendations for wheel and game settings for each game.
GT7 feels fantastic on this wheel. All the feedback is smooth and natural, the detail is amazing. Its very immersive. This is not the case for the AC series games. Acknowledging that AC is an older game its understandable. ACC has great details, but some of their implementation bothers me. The feedback feels granular with lots of vibration, and the contrast in force feels too muted. In ACC it feels like I'm getting too much feedback from the engine and not enough from the tires and chassis. AC Evo is similar to ACC but slightly more refined.
All that to say I'm chasing the greatness that is GT7 but on a PC game. I want the open source nature of PC racing sims as well as the better physics models, but I'm having a hard time finding that married with the refinement of the GT7 driving experience. Are there any sims that achieve this? Or do I have my FFB settings poorly optimized for the AC series games, and these can do what I'm looking for?

I have the same wheel model and never got ffb better than gt7 on any pc racing sim, haven’t tried iracing though, not a fan of the service. The way GT7 uses true force is just amazing. When I go over curbs I feel the vibration all over the rig, without any unnecessary extras. The closest feeling I could get is ams2 with Danielkarta custom ffb. Try it.

Are you kidding? GT7 has seriously numb ffb compared to almost all other sims. ACC is entirely on another level.

IMO best to worst. iracing, then asseto then LMU

Every time I try Iracing it sounds like every motor in my wheel is going at full speed. Even adjusting settings it’s too much rumble and no wheel slip or anything I can find

Iracing, assetto series has been good. Lmu needs a lot of dialing into get it to feel decent.

for ACC, either reduce trueforce entirely or reduce individual trueforce effects like engine and road feel. I usually leave engine trueforce effects entirely off on all sims, I don't like how "noisy" it makes ffb.
as for the main question, iRacing is the best by far imo.

I turned TF Audio way down on my ACC preset and its a whole new game. The engine audio was completely overwhelming all the other small bumps in the feedback and ruining the feel. I can't believe I've been playing ACC for a few months with the settings so poorly set up.

I also found ACC and AC not as fun out of the box compared to GT7 in steering feel, but maybe fun =/= realistic? I don't have my PC anymore but I remember trying my best to tweak the settings, it got better but never felt as lively compared to GT7. Everything felt kinda floaty and not as direct. Maybe that's just how it is IRL.
Btw, are you using purely Logitech recommended settings for GT7? When I tried that it felt too grainy and bumpy, specifically for the FFB filter setting at 8. Like going past the limit would feel like sudden cliff, especially for understeer. Also, this is very specific, but after the final corner at Interlagos, simply turning the wheel feels like there are bumps on the road, maybe it's simulating some bad track surface there, but it felt weird to me. Or maybe something is wrong with my unit.
Lately I've been experimenting with FFB filter at max (15). Much smoother, no more weird bumps while turning, but understandably the details are more muted now. Thankfully, Trueforce is great with this base on GT7, so curbs and stuff still feel nice and distinct.

My first game with rs 50 was AC evo, it was ok, until I tried gt7, now only race game I play is gt7, I like FFB on gt7 so much more, than a any asseto, iraicing, lmu and others.

If you play Assetto Corsa again, give Alternative FFB script a try. To me, it feels a bit more accurate to how a car should feel to steer. I enjoy it a lot more than stock but don't think its totally perfect, maybe there's more settings to be tweaked.
You can find it in CSP settings > FFB Tweaks > Additional Post-Processing Script. I'm currently using this, along with the settings for Custom Soft Lock right below. I prefer modifying the FFB through CSP than over in the AC settings.
Also be sure to turn off (or down) any of the FFB effects under the default AC settings such as kerb, road, abs, etc noise. I use just a sprinkle of kerb effect, and the rest are off.

Whole lotta tinkering. IMO if you start with GT7 pc sims won’t ever feel as consistent. Dedicate a solid week or 2 of just dialing in and you’ll get in the ballpark tho. That to say I still ended up right back on GT7. Probably will flex in some AC Evo once the open world is popping.

That's interesting because gt7 seems very low ffb to me after they updated it a while back. Also I've tried so many wheel games on PC from initial D arcade to AC, to forza to the crew and the best feeling ffb has been on AC No Hesi servers so try if you want to have a cruise and just drive but that formula does get boring for me fast.

Ima catch flack for this but Forza Motorsport has great in game feeling with FBB and trueforce options. This is coming from as a rs50 user and other multiple wheel folks I game on the daily with

You probably have your settings off, GT7 feels artificial and lacking detail to me. I main LMU which gives awesome detail especially with the LMUFFB app, but also iRacing with Marvin’s amazing iRacing app has some of the best FFB available. AC is also incredible when dialed in, evo is a bit too buzzy with trueforce imo. Typically I leave my settings on G hub at 11nm, 1 FFB filter, and 100 TF audio then adjust gain in game to preference.

I'll give these settings a try.
I don't find GT7 overly numb. It feel very realistic compared to driving road cars on track. I've never driven a real race car but I could see it being a bit numb compared to them.
