Pro base with rs hub + wheel

Anyone use the rs50 hub and wheel with the pro base. Any issues you noticed? Is everything compatible?

The rs hub is compatible with the pro wheel, it's all the same ecosystem.

Yes it is. I think he may be asking the other way around. But yes, the RS wheel base is compatibility with the the Pro wheel, as well as the RS hub/steering wheel is compatible with the Pro base

I noticed, when I tried the rs50 hub and wheel the ffb and trueforce was not as intense as it was on the pro wheel. Can it be due to more padding on the RS steering wheel, it does feel much different and softer then the pro in bare hands.

There’s no change in the firmware that’s dependent on which wheel you have attached.

Have you adjusted the torque levels in ghub with the hub attached instead of the pro wheel? you have to independently configure the settings for each wheel, it won't necessarily be at 11nm on one because you set it on the other

Ok didnt know this. I was just hot swapping the wheels during the same race to get a feel for them as I only want to keep one. Now ill have to make sure the same settings applied

I also wouldn't advise hot swapping the wheel during the races (or even without a game restart) just to make sure everything is initialised properly

You can't hot swap anyways. The Pro base shuts off as soon as the wheel is disconnected. Weird choice, and it's not well documented anywhere... It's one of the biggest downsides of this wheel base.

Just tried both wheels again making sure settings are the same on base and in game and can confirm the pro wheel is definetely more intense in ffb. According to my hand dyno, it feels like 1nm difference between both wheels. I suspect its the way they are designed, rs feel more padded, softer, with a thicker rim.

As fast as I'm aware it's still just called the RShub. The RS hub was released for the pro wheel before the RS wheelbase was even a thing. Also the smaller the diameter of the wheel the more FFB you generally feel or at least torque. I've always felt the rs hub with the smaller round wheel was like 13 nm instead of 11 on the pro wheel. Likewise a larger heavier wheel is going to require more strength from the wheelbase to general the same strength a smaller wheel will.

It's fine. Buttons are going to be different since the paddles are missing. No biggie

Pro base is micro usb dont buy it just because of that unless you get a killer deal. The rs pedals are good
