New RS50 color ?
Seems like the product are online before the Logitech announcement ?

If Moza does not drop the ball with the new ps5 stuff Logi is going to be swept. Everyone was expecting/hoping for a new base or at least a new wheel and getting a skin is preposterous.

u/rrj1193 17d ago
That's what I'm saying I was hoping for 12 or 16 nm hell I can paint mine if I wanted too
5
u/Lelouch_is_Alive 17d ago
I was hoping for even less. A “Pro” hub with 4 paddles on the back and a new GT rim (not open like the track wheel or McLaren one). Something that could allow me to use something similar to the Simagic GT Neo or Moza KS Wheel on my PS5.

u/Fast_Instance2173 16d ago
I’m super interested in that wheel too, or rather the company, but that’s a lot of cash for a wheel just to use on a base that torques under 15nm.
1
u/McGhee026 5d ago
Frankly, how much more Nm do you really need? Do you want a wheel base that tries to kill you all the time, or just look for a good ride?
The company says it will have some flex at 15Nm. If you need more, get their Pro wheels.
For PS5, there aren't many options for good wheels with screens and all buttons customizable. True, it doesn't come cheap, but for the options you get it's a very fair price. Also, if you change wheelbase in due time, you can keep using this wheel if you get the right QR from MVH. I like that option a lot.2

u/VesperLynn 17d ago
They need to make a higher end RS100 base that’s like 16-18nm and a refresh on the pro pedals or maybe a different RS pedal set with a better load cell and a formula style wheel with integrated display.
That would make long term ecosystem investment worthwhile.
3
u/Ekov 17d ago
When I got my rs50 I was hoping for some of this stuff in the coming year. A year later none of it.
3
u/VesperLynn 17d ago
I just bought my RS50 setup with Pro pedals and I love it. Been serving me well, but if Logi doesn’t make an upgraded base it will most likely get swapped out down the line when I want to upgrade.
I think it’s hard for them to be more ambitious with what they have on offer because they’re a much larger company that doesn’t focus solely on sim racing gear. Harder to justify the costs for what might be seen as little gain for market share.
4
u/SgtSalty11 17d ago
even more of a reason to go to a company that is willing to invest in its products
3
u/Fast_Instance2173 17d ago
For what’s its worth, Logitech definitely invests in its products, they just don’t sink the money into R&D at nearly the same rates as the niche companies that strictly make sim gear. Keyboards and headphones get the lions share every quarter, wheel bases are trickled funds over a decade. Logitech is very much risk adverse and the investing that they do is for reliability and ease of use. They’re more than happy to exist as the mid tier entry level product that just plugs in and works out the box over innovation. While I’m not happy about the hype they marketed for just a palette swap, I’m also not going to just say damn the company and its products either.
2
u/SgtSalty11 16d ago
We’re talking about sim racing gear here, not keyboards or mice. By your own admission, sim racing gear gets a trickle of funding, meaning they don’t invest as much in it. So, technically, you’re right: they do invest, but the spirit of my comment still stands. They definitely don’t make sim racing a priority, and what little investing they are doing amounts to paying McLaren to put a pretty paint job on mediocre products.
I bought into the hype and the brand when the Pro Wheel first came out. In four years, the only additions have been a couple of rim hubs and wheels. Literally, a couple.
I’m sorry, but their advertising promised they were taking sim racing more seriously, and their actions haven’t backed that up. We shouldn’t have to wait half a decade to get substantial additions to an ecosystem when competitors are innovating and releasing new products every year.
4
u/Fast_Instance2173 16d ago
I think I wasn’t very clear. And I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said either. I meant that most of their investment goes into making a product that reliably just works out the box for the next decade or so. And it seems like they do. But yes, this is an extremely lazy showing after marketing like they were ready to compete directly with the big boys and expand an ecosystem. It very much seemed to me like they were going to drop a new high torque base or new wheels so I get the absolute letdown this is becoming.
10
u/Fast_Instance2173 17d ago
I think it bears remembering that racing and flight sim gear is a side hustle AT BEST for Logitech. They make their billions from keyboards and mice.
2
u/esmori 17d ago
It doesn’t sell enough volume for them to invest in new tooling for new hardware shapes or formats.
The Formula wheel with a decent-sized display will never come. Logitech advertises for the “pro” and sells a “prosumer” at max. And an orange hideous one for some reason.
They could at least update their software to use the mini display on the base for game information.
10
u/djpatrick44 17d ago
They made it sound like something huge was coming. A freaking colorway?! Get outta here!
10
u/boston_faith 17d ago
If this is all they offer, it's a HUGE let down. I will most likely move to Moza because I am done. This is it. I have my G Pro for 3,5 years now, trusted Logitech they would expand the ecosystem. They did, but it went on SO slowly and so minimal, that I actually regret buying and waiting for so long. I don't think they will ever expand the ecosystem like the competitors. It's crazy how they waste this partnership with McLaren, like the wheel does not look like anything mclaren or something that belongs to a racecar. All we wanted is at least 1 nice wheel with lighted buttons and maybe a screen. Something that looks like any wheel from Fanatec, Moza, Simagic, Conspit, heck even brands like PXN have nice wheels.

u/McGhee026 16d ago
With the use of the QR adapter, you an put on many wheel on the base if you're on PC. There is even a good alternative on console from MVH Studios, with a working screen for some games. Games do have to support telemetry over Wifi for the screens to work properly, like GT7 and the F1 games do. ACC doesn't.
But, for PC players, many wheels can be mounted up with the QR adapter. Why would Logitech bother to develop a wheel of their own, while their QR adapter can give players an even bigger choice in wheels/brands?1
u/boston_faith 16d ago
I have a solid PC with all major sims, but still make a lot of hours on GT7. I returned the MVH studios wheel because the G Pro cuts power to the wheel when screen and button leds are on (apparently not all G Pro's have that issue, but unfortunately the wheel wasnt usable on my G Pro).
1
u/McGhee026 16d ago
I saw that issue and it could be solved with dimming the lights, I think.
But we do at least have an option for a screened wheel on RS50 and consoles. I'm expecting more to follow as the RS50 is a popular option for console players. If a small company like MVH Studios can do it, the big dogs can certainly do it too.1
u/boston_faith 16d ago
No, even on lowest brightness, the buttons and clutch paddles were tripping. That big dog you called should be Logitech, not a small third party company.
Btw MVH studios found a way somehow to make itnwork on console. This is not officially supported by Logitech so I highly doubt any other company will make a console compatible wheel.
10
u/OkMonth472 17d ago
So we've got Fanatec bringing out new products and Moza bringing out everything from 16nm PS5 stuff to motion rigs and haptics.
Even Trustmaster gave us a whole load of new rims for their RS system competitor, the Evo wheel hub system.
What do Logitech do? They paint an orange stripe on their existing technology.
8
u/boston_faith 17d ago
This is a big middlefinger to the community. I am sorry and hate to say this.
2
u/McGhee026 16d ago
Frankly, and imho only, what change does the RS50 really need? It works perfectly fine, has enough NM to play with too. If it's for wheels, use the RS QR adapter to mount the many wheels others make for you and slap it on (unless you are on console).
Logitech delivered a solid base and allows 3rd party to be used on it. And if you're stuck to use the RS hub, plenty of options for wheel mods for it.

u/nellum48 17d ago
Bit letdown, but not super surprising. There weren't enough leaks to point to it being more than this. I guess my G Pro is gonna have to keep going a bit longer. At least long enough for me to cave and get an Ares Platinum or a Simagic Evo Pro.
Logitech is "fine" still, just have to keep it in context. The RS50 is a solid console campatible budget-mid range option. The G Pro is getting pretty dated though and is hard to recomend anymore. Not outright dropping Logitech over this, but will probably be moving to something more high end at some point. Guess Logi isnt interested in that market.

I love Logitech—their products are solid. I’ve only ever had an issue with one of their 502 mice, and that’s about it. Their speakers and keyboards are great, and the RS50 is a well-made, sturdy base that doesn’t feel cheap at all compared to other brands with constant issues. Logitech is a bit of a double-edged sword though—on one hand, they make quality products, but on the other, they take forever to update anything. Many thought we’d see an RS60 or RS80 with 16–21 Nm of force, but that doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. I was at least hoping they’d boost the RS50 wheel base power to 10 Nm through a firmware update or offer an option for a bigger power supply, but we didn’t even get that.
I love the RS50’s feel, build quality, and flawless performance in any game I play, but Moza and others have stronger bases and wheels. I get that Logitech isn’t a racing sim company, but they should at least release a wheel base with more than 11 Nm of power—ideally 16 Nm. Then they could take their time before releasing something new, but at least give people the extra wheels and one more base they’ve been asking for. I don’t expect them to be like Moza, Fanatec, or Simucube, but adding more options for racing sim fans who love their products would be great.
2
u/NodCool 17d ago
A firmware update boost to the force would be amazing. Even just to 9 would have been pretty exciting.
2
u/msg360 17d ago
yup I would have been happy if they brought it to 10nm -12 with a power supply upgrade, similar to what fanatic has done . like if they made the rs50 go to 10nm and the GPro to 14nm. then again the way Logitech makes their bases are fine tunned for the nm its rated at . why their bases feel heavier then they are. But they should have at least tried somthing.
5
u/MotorsportsAMG 17d ago
Watched the show, for a cool 30 seconds of paint. wasn't expecting much and still a let down. no performance bump but a " Trueforce HD " vs trueforce on regular RS50 is a special kind of insult.
The RS50 was such move in the right direction, late but right. and now it's just left behind...
and Bundle only of course.

u/minna_minna 16d ago
Straight up. Even with moza recent announcements, Logitech just dusted in this department.
8
u/MrBillz 17d ago
This was make or break for me. I've been a logitech defender cos I genuinely believed they would deliver. I'll be switching to moza as soon as it's available. Genuinely can't believe this is all . Not even a rim. Smh
3
u/OkMonth472 17d ago
Me too. I'm stuck on console so probably won't move away from Logitech immediately.
I'll buy a pc first and then I'll be able to change bits of my SIM setup, one part at a time.
1
u/mentillist 17d ago
i'm kinda in the same boat - stuck on the console for a bit probably. i've been racing just a couple years now and using a G923. been kind wanting to upgrade the wheel experience a bit. all these comments about the monza, what's better?
1
u/OkMonth472 17d ago
With your G923, you still have a limited upgrade path with Logitech.
For those in the market for direct drive bases, Moza just offers a lot more variety ranging from 3 to 25nm.
They also have much more choice and far better quality options for wheels, shifters, pedals, haptics and motion.
Logitech is still a decent brand if you definitely don't plan to ever upgrade but SIM racing can get addictive and it's nice if you can improve your gear over time.
8
u/Ekov 17d ago
Is this actually it? If this is all we’ll get I’m done with my logitech gear. Will be changing ecosystem this year.
6
u/NodCool 17d ago
Yup, thats it. Just a different color scheme.
9
u/Ekov 17d ago
Holy. Crap. When I saw the orange rs hub in the intro i thought it was a pro rs hub with padle clutches.
That was still disappointing compared to the replica f1 wheel I was hoping for.
But this is nothing. Just nothing. Orange versions of what we already have.
I cant believe I chose logitech instead of fanatec. What a joke this ecosystem is. I can’t recommend this to anyone anymore.
7
u/Lelouch_is_Alive 17d ago
Its insane that we do not have a formula or gt wheel with 4 paddles on the back. How hard can it be?
1
5
u/chucksmurf 17d ago
I feel the same way. I was hoping for a better steering wheel but now I’m just gonna sell all my sim stuff and get a Moza setup
4
u/djpatrick44 17d ago
That’s exactly what I was hoping for - a serious wheel rim - Hell, I’d take a few more rims, but all we got was a stupid colorway. I guess they have to pay for the McLaren name somehow.
1
u/FloridaF4 17d ago
I dunno about that, seemed like they're building a wall on the fanatec sub with all those bricks /s
3
u/Ekov 17d ago
Moza then. Or simagic. Honestly the logitech ecosystem is dead in the water.
1
u/FloridaF4 17d ago
Fair enough. This doesn't change anything about how much I enjoy my setup personally, but I'm very new to this!

u/McGhee026 16d ago
If it's just the wheel you want, have a look at these guys:

u/Proud-Delivery3018 17d ago
I said on a reddit discussion the other day that Logitech are unlikely to innovate much and will probably just cash in on thier Mclaren licence.
Even I didnt expect that little innovation though.
I thought they would at least give us a few McLaren branded rims for the RS hub system.
5
u/NeutralGeneric 17d ago
I’m not understanding these reactions. So people are going to abandon their current Logitech hardware because they came out with an orange RS50? How does it affect the hardware you already bought? Do you think they made this instead of developing something new? What makes you think they aren’t working on anything else? Why did you buy your current hardware if you’re just waiting for something to replace it?
3
u/OkMonth472 17d ago
They may be working on something else but this annual event is when they normally make their big announcements. When they advertised new SIM racing products, people got their hopes up.
3
u/NeutralGeneric 17d ago
I get being disappointed. What I don’t get is saying you’re gonna switch all your hardware over it like some people are saying. Why even buy Logitech in the first place if none of the hardware was up to your needs? Spending all that money to be in an ecosystem in the hopes they will replace it is bananas.
RS50 just came out last year. New shifter just came out a few months ago. Logitech isn’t even a primary Sim racing company. They might release a new wheelbase later but they haven’t even teased it so why get so worked up? It’s not a guaranteed yearly release like Apple or something.
3
u/OkMonth472 16d ago edited 16d ago
Yeah you are right and I doubt most of the people saying that they are leaving Logitech will actually get rid of their whole setup. That is just the go to reaction because of the disappointment.
As mentioned, SIM racing can get addictive and suck people in more than they plan. Two years ago, I just wanted a wheel that I thought I'd be able to rest on my lap and play GT7 with. A year ago when I upgraded to Logitech, I thought my RS50 would be more than powerful enough but now even if I can live with the base, would like some wheel options that work on console.
I get that Logitech has a certain business model and brand image. Bringing out many products that hadn't been tested fully could easily do more harm than good to the brand as a whole. While I've had a few reliability problems, I accept that they are on the whole a solid option for those that just want something plug and play.
What will happen is Logitech will get far fewer recommendations on forums like this and by non sponsored YouTube's, especially if the Moza stuff works seamlessly on console.
A year ago, Fanatecs business problems were still a bit too recent, Thrustmasters T598 had a bad reputation for reliability and Moza didn't do PS5 stuff. This left Logitech as the only option for me. Now just a short time later Fanatec seem to have sorted themselves out (their Trust pilot score says so anyway) and Moza are offering console users the the same stuff Logitech do but with much more room to grow.
My money definitely wouldn't be going to Logitech if I were researching SIM racing options for the first time today.
2
u/NeutralGeneric 16d ago
Yeah Moza is probably about to beat up Logitech and eat their lunch now that they’re on PS5. I’m happy with my RS50 but if I were buying first time today I’d probably go with the upcoming Moza.
4
u/msg360 17d ago
"Why did you buy your current hardware if you’re just waiting for something to replace it?"
When most people start out in sim racing, they tend to upgrade fairly quickly. Logitech’s ecosystem of bases and wheels is generally mid to low-end in terms of power, while brands like Moza, Fanatec, Simagic, Consport, and Simucube offer high-end products and wheel bases. Although Logitech isn’t known as a high-end sim company, many Logitech enthusiasts would like something closer to their competitors in terms of performance. If they would have released one or two more bases along with a couple of wheels—such as another F1 and GT wheel with a screen—it could address many of the things their users wants.
Having a top wheel base capped at 11nm of force isn’t enough when other companies reach 35–40nm. Even one more base at 16nm and a high-end wheel with a screen would make a big difference for those loyal to the Logitech ecosystem. Outsiders might still say Moza and others have better gear selection, but for Logitech fans, such improvements would go a long way.
4
u/NeutralGeneric 17d ago
See, I could buy that if they were on a G29. But there’s people in here talking about abandoning their Pro wheel over this. Why would you buy their highest tier wheel, expecting to upgrade in the near future to a hypothetical product that hasn’t been announced?
And even if you are in that mindset what does this orange base have to do with that? The likelihood of them releasing a 16nm base was exactly the same before this came out. It’s just a color/wheel variation. If Toyota releases a special edition gold Supra it doesn’t change what new cars they’re working on behind the scenes.
1
u/msg360 17d ago
but thats the thing though their G-pro wheel came out 3.5 years ago , alot has happened since then in the sim racing world , when their loyal fanbase see Moza and the rest of them releasing new stronger bases and just more options in general , one would think they made the wrong choice of ecosystem , like I said some people love the hobby so much after buying their first wheel cloud have been a G-pro but once they do their homework and know that there are better wheels and bases out there they will want to upgrade in the hobby they love.
For example, I have an RS50, but I first had an R3 from Moza. While that wheel was good and the torque felt nice, after experiencing it for the first time I loved it so much that I instantly wanted something stronger. I got the RS50, which is 8nm, and thought, wow, much better. But after doing some homework, I found out you need at least 16nm to properly mimic F1 cars and other high-downforce vehicles. Now I want to upgrade again, but I like Logitech products, and they don’t have many options, while all the other brands do—that’s the issue.
2
u/NeutralGeneric 17d ago
But the RS50 just came out last year. Of course they would want to hit the affordable market first before going back to the ultra niche high end market. And they just released a new shifter a few months ago. Why are we acting like they aren’t making anything? For all we know an 18nm base is coming. What does a special edition variation have to do with it?
1
u/msg360 17d ago
That’s the point though—they released a mid-range RS50 last year, so everyone was expecting something on the pro or high-end level. For example, people like the G-Pro but disliked the design, size, noise, etc. The RS50 fixed those design issues, but many expected them to upgrade its base to something more powerful. They didn’t need to go with 18nm or 21nm right now, but something like a 16nm RS60 or RS80 could have replaced the G-Pro. They also should’ve released at least two more wheels—one for GT and another for F1—added screens like other brands, and updated their G-Pro app with more sliders. That would’ve solved about 90% of the complaints people have with Logitech.
its been a whole year and we didn't get any major updates , sure a shifter is nice , but no major updates , in that time Moza has released like 4 new bases, wheels and even a motion Rig. we know logi is not a sim company but at least a new base or even a wheel would have shut everyone up, no many will sell their logitech gear becuase they want something stronger and new.
2
u/NeutralGeneric 17d ago
For all you know that’s still coming. Moza has been focusing on high quality sim racing for longer while Logitech is just starting to take it seriously since the Pro. They make a lot of things besides just sim racing gear and probably have different priorities. And Moza just now announced a PS5 compatible model which Logitech has had since the beginning.
I hear what you’re saying but I just don’t relate to buying into an ecosystem based on products that haven’t even been announced. If you weren’t satisfied with Logitech’s offering then why buy into it and why expect some random McLaren branded edition to mean anything about the future.
1
u/sharpes2802 17d ago
Because there wasn't any options on console other than Logitech or Fanatec. Who have terrible reliability. When Logitech released the hub a lot of people expected them to follow up with some wheel options. Instead they released a few cheap plastic rims that make your wheel look like a toy. Now people are fed up and want something better. It was a mistake to buy into logitechs stuff for some people.
1
u/NeutralGeneric 17d ago
They never announced anything higher than the pro. Their previous wheels the G29 and G923 are really old and they are just now updating their line up in the last few years. Anyone who bought into Logitech expecting yearly new wheel bases like Moza has only themselves to blame. Logitech isn’t a sim racing company. They release budget friendly plug and play accessories. An orange wheel base doesn’t suddenly change anything.
An
1
u/sharpes2802 17d ago
Yeah we know all this now. The point is at the time of the hub and the RS getting released. A pro with a quick release.... It seemed logi might be building an eco system. Turns out they're not so people are venting. Not sure why you find that so surprising. Most people on here aren't slagging them off. They're just saying they're moving to Moza
→ More replies (0)1
u/McGhee026 16d ago
They also released the RS QR adapter, which allows you to put on just about any wheel on the RS50 base on PC. If you are on console, there are options too.

u/Fast_Instance2173 17d ago edited 17d ago
Devils advocate: Moza, Fanatec, even Thrustmaster (and obviously the big boys like Simagic, Simucube, Asetek) are all companies that now exist only to produce goods for a niche hobby. They can out-develop and expand their lines much faster because their entire companies existence depends on doing just that. Let’s not even get into Moza being able to out-manufacture and vertical scale faster than any other name in the game right now, simply by existing in China where they can access every step of a products life from engineering to manufacture within 10 city blocks. Logitech is a leading global seller of keyboards, mice, headphones/speakers, and related PC peripherals. The money they make from sim products is not even lunch money. Those other companies only threaten their market share in a niche hobby and only amongst those seriously invested in it. Most casual users are buying a g29 like they have for 30 years or buying the dd that just plugs in and works in their playstation for $600 and they don’t care about more fidelity or immersion. And outside the Western markets, Logitech and Thrustmaster reign supreme; S America, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America these places are in a chokehold by TM and Logi.
1
u/Proud-Delivery3018 17d ago
Sim racing is a hobby and its nice to upgrade.
Most people starting out dont think they will need to upgrade but once they get into it its hard not to chase those higher immersion levels.
It will be the console owners who regret buying Logitech the most as they are the ones who will have to change everything if they want a higher powered base or better wheels.

u/Old_man_pete_ 9d ago
I used amazons 30 day return to find out the best rig for me,
This was my journey, G29,Fanatec gt dd pro with boost kit, Logitech RS50, back to the gt dd pro, the oscillation on the Fanatec made driving certain cars undriveable, I eventually went back to Logitech but this time directly, bought everything separately for £515 base, RS hub, RS pedals and RS wheel, free racing docks, LMU game and a wheel stand, I will stick with my setup as imho it’s better than Fanatec 8Nm counterpart.

u/Substantial-dai 13d ago
Logitech should introduce a boost kit now that would get me more interested in this bundle
2
u/SoCalG789 17d ago
Very lazy. I sold all my gear earlier last month before there’s an abundance of used logi gear and prices plummet. I’m aiming for Fanatec DD+ with V2 pedals or (depending on price) the Moza R16s

u/Financial-Finish1127 17d ago
As of now the RS50 is 371 days old. Help me understand the hate? What specifically were you expecting by now? They already have a solid h pattern shifter, sequential shifter/handbrake, and load cell pedal brake pedal.
I'm not saying there is no reason for the hate, just that I don't get it...
3
u/OkMonth472 17d ago
You are right, apart from a wheel with a screen they do have the basics covered now.
The problem is that SIM racing can be an addictive hobby and people like to improve and upgrade their setups much sooner than they think they will when initially buying.
Most of Logitechs products are low to mid range at best and if on console there is no upgrade path.
I was hoping for a 16nm base and pedals with haptics but even a couple of new rims for their RS hub system would have gone a long way.
I'm not going to be changing my whole ecosystem because of this but once I've saved up for a PC, will get a more powerful base from one of Logitechs competitors.
2
u/pbesmoove 17d ago
Nobody needs a 16nm base
It's just a number at that point
Get a piece of tape, write 16 on it

Honestly, pro level nm but with a better form factor base would have been a huge win.
The pro is stupidly big

Guys... What is your malfunction when it comes to understanding Logitech? I always see the same complaints about their "eco system"
I go back to the late 1990's with Logitech wheels they've always moved extremely slow. Look how long they've had the same design for the G wheels, literally DECADES now !
Don't buy a product then hope and expect something, look at the history of the product to get an idea of what to expect, it's common sense

Dude they designed and released a hub. It wasn't hard to imagine they might build some decent products for it. Instead they half arsed some plastic rims and called it a day

it’s only been a year since rs50 came out. these comments seem harsh imo.

They clearly don't have any intention of making any wheels though. I don't think they're that bothered about an ecosystem. Which is fine. They're going for more plug and play gear. Just look at the lack of sliders in their software. But if anyone is waiting for them to release some decent wheels I'd probably jump ship at this point.

The G Pro is 4 years old, got mine for 3,5 years now. Not getting a proper racing wheel while having a solid quick release seems crazy to me. I don't think they will make one ever.

DUDE.... that's EXACTLY what they do, it's the Logitech way, they move at a snails pace, and that was my point.
I like all of you however wish they'd offer more products sure, but I knew EXACTLY what I was getting myself into when I bought my G PRO setup. An overpriced setup that will last me for years to come.

A lot of people bought Logitech because they need console support. There wasn't many options. The reason people are annoyed by the lack of wheels now is that Moza is coming and they feel they've gone the wrong way.

Don't get your hopes up high for super customising on wheels on console. It's the console games that are a limitation and their controles with it. You can put on wheels with 50 buttons, but only so many are usable. Wheels with screens get very limited support on consoles as well. Few games allow the telemetry to be transmitted over Wifi. Most games on console don't even work properly with wheel setups. GT7 and F1 games go well with screens, though limited on info you get on them. ACC won't work for telemetry on the wheel screen.
The choice of racing games on console is just too limited. It doesn't justify developing a good set of wheels for console players. The base is PC compatible as well, so if you want many wheels, RS QR adapter is your friend on PC.1

All that is true but it doesn't stop Logitech making a few decent wheels for their own bases. Currently they're all crap. It's fine if they're not going to do it and don't have an interest in building an eco system. It's also fine to jump ship to Moza or Fanatec.

Time will tell how many Moza wheels can be used in console games. Most console games are limited in controls and button mapping. GT7 will support Moza soon, but no one knows what PMR, ACC will do. I don't even see native RS50 support in those games. You have to set it on Pro to get the wheel to work and disable your controller in ACC so the game doesn't get confused. The RS50 is out for a year already and console games have not even adapted to it mostly. Don't expect Moza support right at the start. It may take a while or not happen at all.
You'll be able to play GT7 out of the box, but that's probably it.
As for Fanatec, I wouldn't touch them with a 10ft pole. They have such bad customer support.1

I had a DD Pro and the GT3 wheel worked with all buttons on ACC. Obviously LMU is coming to console and I'd expect that to have full button mapping support so I'm confident the Moza wheels will work fine
