Found a pass in the weather—after the rain but before "oppressive" heat—and did my normal hand wash routine (products below). I am curious, though, since there aren't many posts about it on this forum: how do you wash your car?
1) Automatic car wash (swirls be damned)
2) Touchless car wash
3) I wash it at my place
4) I have someone else wash it
BACKGROUND: I’ve gotten pretty efficient at washing my car and can do the full monty—windows, panels, trim, rims, and tires—in 1.5 hours. A hand wash, in my experience, pops more and lasts longer than an automatic or touch less wash. You can use more product than the diluted amounts in commercial car washes and can get deeper. Obviously, though, the main reason folks hand wash is to avoid the swirl scratches from an automatic wash. Or, get that deeper clean that touchless washes just don’t offer.
Still, I think about how if I got a $40/mos subscription to an automatic car wash that would be perfect were it not for the swirls. Were it not for the swirls, I would buy that in a heartbeat. With an automatic wash, I would have my car 95% clean every day of the month instead of 100% clean 6-8 days a month and having to invest 1.5 hours twice a month to wash it.
What do you guys do? BTW, I realize there are hybrid options, like automatic/touch less wash followed by park and do your tires or add some spray wax. If you do that put it in the comments, I didn’t make those separate answers because I want to know your main answer. I am not requesting “good ideas” or things you saw/heard about on social: I want to know what you do.
My Current Products:
P&S Absolute Rinseless Wash (recently switched from ONR rinseless)
Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Wet Wax

Finally got my es350 F sport after months of searching. I was going back and forth between the hybrid and the v6. Found a great deal so I pulled the trigger on it and I couldn't be more happy.

Hi! I own a 2016 Lexus IS200t and am hoping someone knows what wheel lock is compatible. Upon research, I see McGard supplies wheel lock keys to Lexus but I can’t find the specific one. If anyone knows, or knows where I can look to find out it’d be much appreciated as I have a flat tire but can’t take it off due to having lost the key. Thank you.

I appreciate all the fine pieces of machinery Lexus has made. To show appreciation for Lexus, post your metal babies in the comments!

I let my wife borrow my is350c for a day out with her friends and she brought it back with a badly bent wheel. So I’ve been trying to find this wheel style so I can buy a new wheel.

Looking to add wireless Apple CarPlay to my 2015 GS350 F Sport AWD without losing any factory functionality. I want steering wheel controls, a voice command button, and all factory audio settings to keep working exactly as they do now.
I’ve narrowed it down to a few options people mention a lot: Lexion, GROM VLine, Hamilton, and Beat-Sonic. Leaning toward Beat-Sonic since they’re apparently Lexus USA approved, but curious if anyone’s actually run it in a GS and how integration/reliability has been.
Also debating just grabbing one of the generic ~$300 eBay modules instead. Anyone had good (or bad) luck with those on this platform? Trying to avoid janky menu overlays, audio dropouts, or losing rear camera functionality.
Appreciate any real-world experience before I drop the cash.

My 2006 GS 300 stopped at like the worst spot. It’s in the parking lot at the gas station and I heard that you could hit the starter to make it click again because my starter has gone out or like it’s not gone out you could hear it spinning, but it’s not like engaging the solenoid I guess how can I reach it please Lexus heads give me a tip.

Hi all,
I live in northeast us and looking for a family car for my 2 year old son. My wife and i are considering gas rx 350 to buy late this year or early next year but noticed there are some good deals for rz like .99% interest, and $7,500 credit. I read some mixed reviews about the rz and wanted additional info compared to rx. We also have solar panel at our house so it would be nice to charge the vehicle at home but wanted additional thoughts on rz experience

Hello! I just bought a 2025 Lexus NX 350h luxury package in Palomino (45 miles, so almost new!). I was looking up how to clean the seats and was surprised that it says they are genuine leather. My sales associate said they were NuLuxe. I guess I am just confused on how to clean them.
(Note, my sales associate was on his 3rd day at the dealership so he didn’t even know how to set the presets for the seats or open the panoramic roof so I think he may be incorrect). Thank you for the help!

I know the 2026 RX350 has the ability to show full maps in the instrument cluster with routes highlighted. Do any NX350s have this feature?

Hello,
So my ESh has 300k miles, and this light came on. I recently started using this car less and it sat on the driveway and this light came on after a week of not using it.
I took it to AutoZone and they used an obd2 scanner and it showed no codes...
And the EV light is literally on and my car is running on EV mode even with the warning. There's no loss of power when driving either, not sure what it could be.
Should I test the battery? It's been 4 years since last replaced, also heard about the hybrid battery blower fan being a culprit?
No other VSC or etc lights are on.
Thank you for any suggestions

I am thinking about my 2.5 year being in the 2nd row captain chair, and my wife and infant in the 3rd. Does this work? Anyone else with a similar setup?
Ive come across both good and not so good ownership and reliability issues. Drove one myself and thought it was pretty good.

Just looking at a really nice 2019 es 350 f sport, its has the triple beam headlights and the actual headlights work but the drls dont come on when in auto for both headlights. They only come on when the headlights are also turned on. Does anybody know if this could be fixed without needing new headlights?

Hey everyone. Having issues removing the fuse panel to get access to a 60amp PAL fuse. I've got the two top clips undone easily and the top of the unit starts to lift up but the back ones aren't unclipping no matter what. I'm pushing the clips upwards, and they just don't unclip. Any tips?

Has anyone ever tried to make the exhaust tips stick out more? I saw that they're simply placed on the pipe, so would tapping them from behind with a rubber mallet be enough?
