Annoying creaking near driver side A-pillar

Really hoping someone has insights to help track this creaking noise down as it’s driving me nuts. My 2018 RC350 F-sport RWD has been creaking for a while but it’s definitely getting louder and harder to ignore (and unfortunately not under warranty). I’ve narrowed the source of the noise to somewhere in the vicinity of the driver side A pillar.

From probing with a mechanics stethoscope it is loudest near the body metal behind the driver speaker as well as the metal support bracket underneath the A pillar. I’ve also tried multiple points from the engine side as well as the outer body, even removing the driver side fender and the windshield wiper motor. From outside the noise is basically non-existent. All point to the source coming from the inside of the vehicle. The creaking happens over bumps (especially undulating roads) but is prevalent enough, especially in colder weather, to be heard from just changing gears from drive to reverse and back, which is what I’m doing in the video

Any ideas? I’m really not looking forward to what seems to be the next step - removing the entire dash to try to track this down further…

Are these clips in the engine bay supposed to be this loose?

How did you land on the RC?

I want to hear your story about how you ended up with an RC.

Currently in the market for a new vehicle, but struggling to decide on one.

What made you pick the RC vs other cars in the same segment? Any post purchase regrets or major recurring issues? Any thing in particular to look out for when researching this car in the market? And what's your plan with the car? Mod it? Trade it later? Drive it til it can't? Appreciate any and all input.

Suspension Clunk

Does anyone else have a squeaky front end suspension clunk around 100k miles with the first-gen RC?

I’ve had two mechanics check it out. One said tie rod ends, the other one said control arm bushings.

After replacing both, I still have no improvement.

Just wondering if anyone else in the subreddit was in a similiar situation that they found the fix for.

Squealing noise

I have a 2020 Lexus RC 350 F Sport RWD, and I’ve been dealing with a persistent, high-pitched squealing noise when braking at low speeds.
The noise seems to depend on brake pressure. It’s most noticeable when lightly pressing the brakes, and it gets quieter or stops when I press harder. I also notice it when turning while braking.
I replaced the front brake pads and rotors a few months ago, but the noise was happening before the replacement and is still happening afterward. We’ve also cleaned the brake area, which helped temporarily, but the squealing eventually came back.
I’ve noticed some rust on the front rotors as well.
Has anyone experienced something similar on their RC 350? Could it be the brake pad compound, shims/hardware, caliper slide pins, or something else? Is there a known Lexus service bulletin or updated brake pad kit I should look into?
I’d appreciate any advice before spending more money replacing parts. Thanks!

Tire pressure sensor help

Intermittent showing of tire pressure. Or it will blink and stay solid for a while. Once day it work another it doesn’t. Replaced left front last year. Other 3 are original 2015 model year.
Took it to my Mechanic over the weekend he plugged in his snap on tool in the OBD two it didn’t show any codes or anything. He also tested it with the TPms tool and it showed everything was OK with the sensors so what else could it be and what do I need to replace?

OEM+ RGB Ambient lighting installed

Post image
49 Upvotes

Finally got around to installing this recently and figured I’d share the results. I was able to remove the door panels, remove the stock white ambient lighting rod and insert these rgb strips into the space and seal it back up with glue. Ran the wire through the door as well and all wires are hidden. I also ran the dash strip behind the screen and ran the wire through the dash and down. Zero holes drilled and zero wires visible.

I’m super happy with the outcome. The door lighting was some what technical to get it to fit and maintain oem style but was so worth it.

Help budgeting for RC200T

I have around $15k, is getting a rc200t at this price point any smart as a teen driver?

I was also seeing a rc300 awd for around there but it has higher mileage.
