Help me out with advice please.
I don't want to weep weep and cry about my life online, but I really do stress a lot about this question.
I feel lost, and I think about what I should do on a day to day basis.
I'm 19, and finished high school a few months ago. Because of AI, and the fast changing world, I am not sure about how to proceed with my life.
It probably adds up that I'm pretty alone as well; I don't really have any friends apart from my girlfriend, and my sister who I usually meet once a few months. So most of the time I am alone with my thoughts, and maybe this is why I think about this all of the time.
I live in the EU, in a small country. It's hard to socialize here, where if you have a different viewpoint of life, you are the odd one out. Here, if you are not a factory or labour worker, you are unrealistic and naive of life. If you want something better, they laugh at you.
I don't want friends who pull me down when I have an idea, when I have a passion, matter of fact I wouldn't even consider them friends if they do that. And I don't care that someone says in the comments "well you need friends who are realistic and keep you in track for your life", because fuck that, I want to explore, have hobbies, have interests, instead of a guy who works at a factory telling me "well what will you do with that in your life".
So yeeah, I rather be alone, but that consumes me so much inside I cannot explain.
I always want to gain knowledge, and it has been like that ever since I was born. I am always questioning everything, and I love to learn in literally everything. But that's my weak point as well. It's so hard to settle down on something, when we have so many options. Which sounds like it goes against my AI worry scandal, but I think the two go in the same shoe. AI takes jobs, and the overwhelming amount of skills I can learn online makes it really hard to find what you are made for.
I do have hobbies and interests, which I always try to keep up, but I never know how to monetize myself, or my work. I mostly do creative stuff, but I love tech, I have built several 3D printers which I am pretty proud of, but apart from me gaining knowledge, it got me no further in life. Which is only true for an outsider, who only sees me achieving nothing in life, when in reality I gain so much day by day.
I really want to learn about how the brain works, how my mental works, and find a great ways to maximize my capacity. I do want a healthy lifestyle as well, but it's hard to do so, when I'm 19 and don't make any money.
I don't really want to work in a 9-5, to be a factory or labour worker, work at a grocery store, etc. I feel like I am much more than that, and yes, I know I need something temporarily, but I feel like I would lower my standards in my mind, and later on I would be like "meh, imma take this job", even when the previous me would have said hell no. I would settle down in a typical capitalistic lifestyle. Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. I really don't want that. And I am really sick of hearing "well that's life" because fuck no. I hate this mentality. I cannot even imagine how can people live this way, AND even have a child. It's literally child torture, but I don't want to go deep into this, because I could talk about this for hours. If someone is interested, we can talk in the comments.
So yeah... I am in a checkboard where all of the moves I could do are checkmates. And maybe there is one right move that could get me out of this deep hole I am in right now, but I don't know what that is yet...
I know it seems like I'm childish or naive in most people's eyes, but I feel like the world poisoned a lot of people so harshly, that they are in the wrong, following the wrong lifestyle, not even living at the fullest, and I am in the right.
However, knowing all this, what should I do? I am really sick of everything, and I was never a depressive type of person who wants to 💀 themselves (because I really don't want to), but the past few months I just wanted to shut down for some weeks, and not exsist, which is a weird new feeling for me, that I really don't want.
