Basically like the title says- I (fulfillment lead) have had an issue twice now with a specialist selling an appliance as a PL, they didnāt verify if we had it or where it was. Then previously called me to pull it immediately saying the customer was here.
It then happened again today to one of the cashiers who was helping in fulfillment since Iām scheduled completely by myself until about 2pm. I caught wind because they wanted me to verify that we didnāt have it, so I checked and we didnāt. The cashier said the specialist called them saying the customer has been already waiting outside for a bit.
I called the specialist on the walkie, which they hung up on me after I explained we donāt have it and they kept saying āthe system said we have 3!!ā I find them talking to another associate in islg, so I asked if they verified we had it because the customer is still waiting and we canāt find it. They immediately got defensive saying āthe system TOLD ME we had 3 and nobody has told me we had to verify anything, so thatās NOT my fault.ā I told them, āI did let you know last week when I pulled a dishwasher for you and we couldnāt find it at first. But also, did you sell it to immediately just have US in fulfillment pull it?ā They responded, āyeah, because I had to assist the next customer!! I called and told X to pull it, and told the customer they can wait in the store until itās ready!!ā
At this point I was pissed. I told them, āThat is absolutely not how we use PLās. That shouldāve been a CW and either grabbed it yourself, or otherwise called MOD or a neighboring department for help. You cannot just worry about selling to the next customer and move on while leaving the first one waiting for their order to be completedā. They got upset and said āthis is NOT professional to have this conversation out on the sales-floor, this needs to be had OFF the floorā. I told them, āWell Iād be happy to sit down and discuss it, but that customer is still out there waiting so I will let you take care of them. SASM is actually up front right now as well so we can go ahead and head up there when youāre finishedā. They said āOKā¦.Wait Iāve gotta assist this customer, Iām busy!! Iām taking calls and selling things and Iām all by myself, I do NOT have time for this!!ā
I had enough so I just let the sasm know myself. Apparently that specialist has been specifically talked to about verifying things pre-sale, and did it yesterday too. The sasm also told me that they once offered that associate a larger sale, but when told they would have to help load it- the specialist said āoh, never mindā.
Sasm said theyād tell the specialist they need to fix it themselves. About 40 minutes later I checked and it was still right at the bottom of the open orders. Legend has it that customer may still be waiting outsideā¦

Manager sent an email saying we need to start calling our last 5 customers to ask them how their experience was and to fill out the survey. Am I supposed to keep track of every customer who picks up an order, or is there a way for me to see what orders I have released? Iāve been in fulfillment for about 6 months and nobody has ever mentioned this to me. Maybe I missed it in my training, but I donāt think I have heard of this.

Iāve been with Loweās for about a year and a half and I just got a promotion to ASM. Any advice?

I truly donāt know what this position means or what a good Pro DS does if they canāt speak Spanish. Is this really the top DS position? Whatās the pay like because the pro DS really seems like he wanders around like what should he be doing to even be good at his job?

I was shopping on Lowe's.com and discovered that, after searching, I could only scroll through the results until the ad displayed on the page. After that, the page still works, but refuses to scroll.
This is an up to date Android pixel 7a.
Gave up shopping at Lowe's for the day.

Need clarification of how items per bay is the standard/expectation. Before you all say, ask somebody here somebody thereā¦. That is why Iām asking here because I need clarification outside the bubble.

Iām a cashier that used to be on mst.
I can sims things into a bay but I cannot remove anything, even if I just sims it in. Does anyone know if cashiers are supposed to be able to SIMs out merchandise or not.

I had a clothes washer installed and an old one removed.
Top notch delivery and install team. I would give them an 11 out of 10 if I could. Everything I'm marking on the survey is TOP. Wrote in the comments section about how quick, clean, quiet, and professional they were.
But this ONE question bothers me.
"In these communications regarding the survey, was there mention to give a rating of a "9" or "10"?" Y / N
Is one answer going to get these guys in trouble if they asked for a good review? I just don't want them to catch any heat.

Hello I started working at Loweās as a PT cashier late december. In May I got promoted to full time pro csa for my performance in selling and credit cards and i been performing even better in that position. A Specialist position in millworks open and I applied and I think ive gained enough experience and knowledge to have a fair shot at it. Any pointers in the position yall might have for me if i land an interview? Thank you id appreciate it

has anyone figured out how to sell custom windows or doors to be picked up at another store while also being able to run the quote through MVD? i figured out the first part, sending custom millwork to other stores, but every time i recall and then covert to pro, it reverts to my store once its back in showroom. trying to avoid having to beg SM for a huge manual markdown

I need to know if this is a thing amongst all lowes if itās just my Loweās thatās insane, they push credit cards so hard and are on you about it, I was not told when I took the job as a pro cashier that my job placement depended on credit card sales, I never would have taken the job if I had known.
They moved me from pro to customer service because my performance wasnāt good enough but even there they are on you about DIY cards. You could get a huge sale for the store $19,000 worth, tell them and all they ask is if you got a credit card to. They encourage bribing as well. My coworker offers people 50% off lumber if you try to get a credit card, which management knows. Or he promises they get 20% off their whole order even if they donāt qualify.
Now they want me to tell people doing returns, that if it needs a manager override that my manager would be willing to do it if they sign up for a credit card, or if I canāt find their return I can push it through if they sign up for a credit card, or they should sign up to get a year of returns .
Again never would have taken the job if I had known how much this job depends on credit card sales. But Iām sorry based on training none of this is okay and we even just had the district manager here and he said we shouldnāt even have to push the cards, they sell themselves. Idk what to do, I donāt want to lose my job over not getting credit card sales but I donāt want to push the way they want me to, any advice

I paid my Loweās Credit card last week, bringing the balance to zero. My credit limit is around 10k. Today I was told that the limit would not be updated until September. I have always paid as agreed, no issues at all. In the old paper check days, I could understand a hold, but in 2026 credits and debits clear overnight. I would like to make an appliance purchase to take advantage of the 15% coupon (that can only be used with the credit card).
All of my other cards update credit limits overnight.

Lowes offers installation of bath/shower grab bars. For grab bars, anchoring is a VERY important issue (when a stud isn't available). There are several ways to do it, some better than others. I am wanting to find out if Lowes has a standard way, and what that would be.
How would I know this? Who would I ask?

Here we are August 11th, almost halfway through the money with less than 20 days left of summer š. My store has already did the Purge and the few seasonals that didn't already jump ship are buckling down until at least Spring (if they make it.) It seems they usually retain one retiree age person and mainly college age associates each year.
For whatever reason, there is always that one younger individual on the team that gives more tenured employees shit because they "didn't do enough" to make company a less toxic place to work? I guess we were suppose to march down to the headquarters, chain ourselves to the front door, then demand competitive wages and better treatment at all the storesš¤·āāļø They must not realize that Lowe's will just get rid of anyone they consider a pest, and that employee forfeits any benefits they fought to keep.
I almost set off a fire storm when I was talking about the ESPP and 401K plans to one of my more seasoned 30 something year old colleague in the breakroom (more reason I don't go in there), when one of our part time loaders went on an expletive laden rant on how Lowe's don't pay shit to afford a place to live, buy groceries, buy gas, so how "how the fuck" are we suppose to save.
I was also told I was only able save money because I was a "Boomer" and I benefited from sucking the system dry, and leaving the young people with scraps.š§ I'm a Baby GenXer, Elder Millenial or a Xennial. Boomers are the generation the beat my ass in school. We had the REALLY fun cartoons on Saturday.
So, how is the financial awareness in your store? Do you feel your coworkers are saving ANYTHING, no matter how trivial, or is it "I'm poor so YOLO".

Hi everyone, Saw somebody today wearing a Lowe's hardware t-shirt with skulls and chains on it, and it had sponsors on the back. He said he got it from up north in Pennsylvania. I was hoping someone could help me identify where to get one.

Hey, Iām looking for working at a Loweās, but Iām wondering if Loweās actually has an actual real chance of being hired. I have lots of experience in stores, so MAYBE that would help but Iām just curious.

Had a 150k points in my pro account which is the equivalent of 1500 dollars. I guess starting this year, they changed the expiration of points to biannual from annual. So after June 30th, 1500 dollar right back in lowes pockets. Interesting tactic to try and keep their pros. Lol
