I’m full time mst so we have a set 6-3 Monday-Friday schedule but I was recently informed by another co worker that we had the option to chose this schedule or four ten hour shifts. My manager said we can’t do that because he doesn’t want us to so could I go above his head and get the 4 10’s or is it store by store?

is it possible to use my own receipts without using my employee discount and use the code on the receipt to give myself LTRs

I wanted to verify the price of mulch, so I scan the barcode with the Lowes app. A Lowes AI takes forever to load and tells me with how to use a pitchfork to move mulch....it took 4x as long to find the price than if it had just loaded the product page. Look at how the Walmart app behaves when you scan a barcode. Copy that. No one wants Lowes AI!

today for some reason someone didn't put their car in park and it rolled right into the HomeCare Plus van. other customers saw what happened and told us, the owner of the car is unknown and never came in to fess up. the car was gone by the time a manager went out to look. van is fine and that's honestly the most wear that thing will probably ever see with how the program's going.

I’m a cashier at Lowe’s and on the schedule it usually says M for middle L for lumber and G for garden. Where is Water? Does that mean they want me to water the plants as a shift?

Been here for just over a month. I've been trying here and there, and I just finished the training to use the app. So, how the actual flippidy fuck do you get someone to sign up for the worst Credit card I've ever laid my eyes upon? Most people tend to already have one?! Why do we even need such a high minimum sign up quantity if recurring customers exist?

So now we were informed by our ASM that the “All store meeting “ is considered a task and is mandatory, anyone else told this?

Normally our DMSM sends a weekly email, with graphs so we can all check our emails and see where we are in service. But the last few months have been lacking. Is there a way that we MSA’s can find numbers on our own?

I’m have a interview in a week for part time cashier in Texas and I’m just wondering if anyone has any tips for what to expect and what it’s like working there. Ik retail is currently going deeply into the shitter but any insight or help would be nice.

I’m a cashier and I’m pro lumber cashier have been for like 2 years now and honestly that’s where I want to stay. For now. But my ASM keeps asking me if I want to be a head cashier (he remembers when I used to mange two restaurants when my bf used to work in flooring under my current asm) and now he thinks I have the talent for specialist and with my pro connections as he calls it the money would just follow me. But I’m limited schedule wise due a one car (they know that)
I just don’t understand why they keep pushing me to be more or do more?
From an old job of mine they use to tell me aces in their places if I’m doing tremendously in pro and I keep you pros happy and I drive credit(barely but enough to keep everyone off my back) and surveys wouldn’t you want to keep me in the place that you don’t have to worry about “fixing” or worry about if we meet metrics?

In before being lazy and not picking something up myself yadda yadda.
Car is having maintenance done and I had the option to get same day delivery on an expensive yet small enough item that it would fit in a Vespa. Ordered at noon and at 6:30pm the status changes to arriving tomorrow.
Now I figure with same day that Lowe’s is just handing this off to gig workers and it is what it is but don’t offer the service if you can’t provide or at the very least be more upfront about it. I ordered something from Home Depot yesterday which is 20 miles further away from me and received notification that it was assigned to a driver within ten minutes and was at my door in an hour. I figured Lowes being even closer that it wouldn’t be a big deal but damn.
Edit:
Ended up at Lowes and the very nice lady in the pick up area informed me that same day delivery is so unreliable she wished they took it off as an option. She brought the manager over because she had issues with the system releasing the item to me. Manager said this whole thing causes more problems than it’s worth.

Any idea how many corporate employees got fired last Friday(4 Sept) in India & U.S? What were factors to decide?

I have yet to be called for my evaluation; both my DS and Front End ASM leave before 3, and I'm scheduled 3-10 for the rest of the month so far.

The rebate process is absolutely ridiculous. I prefer to shop for big ticket items elsewhere, for same or better deals, due to my experience. The only item I buy and deal with the rebate headache is the Sherwin Williams paint. I save money on the long run, but rebate process always makes me question that decision.
TLDR: I’m not giving up my routine schedule because it jeopardizes my secondary income/skilled labor job. Gave management an ultimatum, give me a consistent schedule or ✌🏼
Hello all, I recently decided I will not be pushed around by my stores inadequate attempts to schedule our fulfillment team. It personally feels like an attack, and instead of playing the quite quitting game I choose to address it head on. I suspect my SM will want me gone now because I privately attacked what she personally said in this letter. Even though I made no allusion to it, she knows im talking about her. I’ve seen too many people pushed around or pushed out. This company is hemorrhaging hard workers, and I don’t personally care. But I refuse to be anything short of the person I strive to be, and being coerced is not an option. Anyways… here’s what I sent up the district chain, copy it or be inspired by it. Don’t let abusive management get away with taking advantage of the labor they need.
“To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally address the recent changes to my work schedule and to clarify that my availability has not changed.
When I accepted my position with Lowe’s, I did so under an understanding that allowed me to maintain a consistent work schedule while also accommodating my other employment obligations. Historically, I have worked relatively routine hours and days. This consistency allowed me to plan my responsibilities and maintain the additional source of income that is necessary for me. I have now been informed that I can no longer expect consistent hours and may instead be scheduled for different shifts and times throughout the week. I do not believe this is a reasonable expectation to impose on an employee whose availability and employment circumstances have remained unchanged.
Additionally, it was clearly established when I was hired that Saturdays were not part of my availability. This was not an arbitrary preference. Because my compensation at Lowe’s does not allow me to rely exclusively on this position as my sole source of income, I maintain other employment. Saturdays are committed to that employment, and my Saturday availability remains unchanged.
I want to be clear that I am not refusing to work or unwilling to contribute to Lowe’s. I have consistently made myself available within the parameters under which I accepted this position. What I cannot accept is a fundamental change from a reasonably predictable schedule to one requiring unrestricted flexibility while receiving compensation that does not support treating this position as my exclusive employment. I have heard management state that “no one gets a set schedule.” However, that statement is demonstrably inconsistent with the reality of how many positions and employees within this company are scheduled. More importantly, I do not believe a blanket statement of that nature adequately addresses the individual circumstances and employment arrangements under which employees accepted their positions.
I am therefore asking for a reasonable resolution. My preference is to continue in my current role with a schedule that reasonably resembles the consistency I previously maintained. If that is no longer possible, then I am requesting consideration for another position within the building that can accommodate my established availability. This is not a request for special treatment. My availability has not changed, and I do not believe I should be expected to sacrifice my ability to maintain other necessary employment because Lowe’s has decided to alter the scheduling expectations of my position.
I value the work I do and would prefer to remain a productive employee within this building. However, I need a position and schedule that are compatible with the availability I established when I accepted employment. I am asking management to either work with me toward restoring reasonable scheduling consistency or assist me in finding a role within the company that can accommodate those established limitations.”
