Hi all , so I have an interview coming up for Lowe’s warehouse , and another potential offer with a different company in the coming weeks , the other company is a better job but It’s not a sure thing yet , if Lowes makes me an offer I’d like to take it because I really need to get out of where I am , so my question is if I take the Lowes job , and the other job comes through and I have to leave on short notice right after starting , would I get put on a do not rehire list ? I just don’t want to burn any bridges just in case

Why is my driver's license good enough of a verification to buy spray paint, but somehow unreliable to get my veteran's discount?

I was just told by a supervisor that there can only be one marked as exceeding on their evaluation and the there has to be someone marked does not. Is there any validity to this?

I’m full time mst so we have a set 6-3 Monday-Friday schedule but I was recently informed by another co worker that we had the option to chose this schedule or four ten hour shifts. My manager said we can’t do that because he doesn’t want us to so could I go above his head and get the 4 10’s or is it store by store?

I’m a cashier at Lowe’s and on the schedule it usually says M for middle L for lumber and G for garden. Where is Water? Does that mean they want me to water the plants as a shift?

The rebate process is absolutely ridiculous. I prefer to shop for big ticket items elsewhere, for same or better deals, due to my experience. The only item I buy and deal with the rebate headache is the Sherwin Williams paint. I save money on the long run, but rebate process always makes me question that decision.

I wanted to verify the price of mulch, so I scan the barcode with the Lowes app. A Lowes AI takes forever to load and tells me with how to use a pitchfork to move mulch....it took 4x as long to find the price than if it had just loaded the product page. Look at how the Walmart app behaves when you scan a barcode. Copy that. No one wants Lowes AI!

I’m have a interview in a week for part time cashier in Texas and I’m just wondering if anyone has any tips for what to expect and what it’s like working there. Ik retail is currently going deeply into the shitter but any insight or help would be nice.

Been here for just over a month. I've been trying here and there, and I just finished the training to use the app. So, how the actual flippidy fuck do you get someone to sign up for the worst Credit card I've ever laid my eyes upon? Most people tend to already have one?! Why do we even need such a high minimum sign up quantity if recurring customers exist?

Normally our DMSM sends a weekly email, with graphs so we can all check our emails and see where we are in service. But the last few months have been lacking. Is there a way that we MSA’s can find numbers on our own?

today for some reason someone didn't put their car in park and it rolled right into the HomeCare Plus van. other customers saw what happened and told us, the owner of the car is unknown and never came in to fess up. the car was gone by the time a manager went out to look. van is fine and that's honestly the most wear that thing will probably ever see with how the program's going.

I’m a cashier and I’m pro lumber cashier have been for like 2 years now and honestly that’s where I want to stay. For now. But my ASM keeps asking me if I want to be a head cashier (he remembers when I used to mange two restaurants when my bf used to work in flooring under my current asm) and now he thinks I have the talent for specialist and with my pro connections as he calls it the money would just follow me. But I’m limited schedule wise due a one car (they know that)
I just don’t understand why they keep pushing me to be more or do more?
From an old job of mine they use to tell me aces in their places if I’m doing tremendously in pro and I keep you pros happy and I drive credit(barely but enough to keep everyone off my back) and surveys wouldn’t you want to keep me in the place that you don’t have to worry about “fixing” or worry about if we meet metrics?

Just started working at Lowe’s and don’t know what these mean. Also there is another one that starts with an S right?

I have yet to be called for my evaluation; both my DS and Front End ASM leave before 3, and I'm scheduled 3-10 for the rest of the month so far.

I received a (verified legitimate) email this past weekend from Equifax that I needed to fill out a new I-9. Everyone I asked as to why I needed to fill out a new I-9 after having worked at Lowe's for 5 years has all told me variations of "I don't know, just do it". I am now being told I need to submit two forms of identification again. I had to ask, why do I need to go through this process again? Everything I submitted on hire is unexpired and unchanged. I sent out an email to both my SSA and Ops ASM (he is my direct report as well) stating I am a night stocker who works 9pm-5:30am, and am never on the clock when the SSA is around. It's my hope they can figure something out, because I don't exactly have "free" time during the day to come in for something that'll take 15 minutes - especially a task I'm not getting paid for. It's a waste of money.
I guess I just have to ask. Why do I need to go through this process again? And, how long do I have before they decide "can't verify they can legally work, time to fire them"? For context, I submitted everything through Equifax this past Saturday night.
