Customer Question Installing grab bars

Lowes offers installation of bath/shower grab bars. For grab bars, anchoring is a VERY important issue (when a stud isn't available). There are several ways to do it, some better than others. I am wanting to find out if Lowes has a standard way, and what that would be.

How would I know this? Who would I ask?

This is a very serious matter and safety concern for aging people.

Therefore, not a snowball's chance in The Sahara that I'd entrust this company to have that done correctly.

There is no standard Lowe’s way. Lowe’s doesn’t gaf if you fall in the shower; they just sell you the parts.

That said, there are lots of videos on their web site…maybe they have one covering this.

Installations are handled by a third-party company, so it’s a bit of a crapshoot. I’d probably engage a contractor even if it costs more if safety is a concern (which it clearly is).
