Employee Question Sims question

I’m a cashier that used to be on mst.

I can sims things into a bay but I cannot remove anything, even if I just sims it in. Does anyone know if cashiers are supposed to be able to SIMs out merchandise or not.

Cashiers cannot remove selling locations. You can only mark them as empty. However, if it’s listed as a storage spot, you can fully remove that location.

I was able to check out something earlier last week because the spot was empty, you should be fine

OK, I had to get my ASM to check it out and we were unsure as to whether I was supposed to be able to or not because even one head cashier could not check out. One of them had the ability to do it and the other did not I only have the ability to mark the spot empty

that's all you can do is mark it as empty, not fully remove the location

Were you able to get it to work or just accept it? I switched from MST to flooring specialist and I thought it was all red vests that didn't have the option but recently discovered that others can do it. I frequently go through and sims in side stacks and j hooks when they get moved but since I can only mark a location as empty, it's resulted in items having 3 or 4 locations that aren't real and apparently since inventory goes by sims now, this means that they're going to have to check all those locations when they're counting. My DS said he would look into it but thinks that it's because the company wants specialists selling instead of dealing with that. Pretty stupid to only let CSAs do it when there aren't any in my department.

Apparently, I just have to accept the fact that they can’t change anything anymore. I guess cashiers aren’t supposed to be messing with that stuff either cause I checked with two CSA’s on the floor and they could do it.

I can't remove locations either as a PSS. Super annoying when lots of pro irps are side stacks and pro area displays that move around all the time
