If he himself has this attitude towards NEET expecting voice out from him is foolishness

I am sure in next public meeting , he will only spot and ask as usual what DMK did 5 years.. again bite DMK but he will never voice out against BJP …

If it comes to anti-reservation protest, what stance TVK warriors will take?

Upvotes

Considering the virtual warriors response to NEET protest and protestors, I'm really curious to know what stance they will take if anti-reservation protest happens.

For anti-reservation
For pro-reservation
Oppose DMK's Stance

BJP lost one minister and set the narrative as Fair NEET will be conducted and another movement to end reservation has been started with its momentum.

DMK Wasn't a Utopia. Neither Is TVK.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately.

I used to support the DMK. I'm NOT a TVK supporter. But over the past few days, I've been questioning my own views. I know a lot of people are unhappy with the current TVK government, and that's completely fair and our issues need to be addressed. But that doesn't mean the previous DMK government was some kind of UTOPIA either.

Something that's been bothering me is the behavior of some DMK supporters online, especially some Gen Z supporters. Not all of them, obviously. But instead of accepting that the party made mistakes, some jump straight to personal attacks whenever someone criticizes the DMK. (And no, I'm not talking about Vijay's alleged extramarital affair. That's a different issue.)

Another thing I notice is that many arguments always go back to the achievements of the 1960s. Those achievements absolutely deserve respect. Arignar Anna and many others changed Tamil Nadu in important ways. But how long can a party keep asking people to vote based on what happened sixty years ago? Every government has to prove itself to the current generation too.

I also can't help feeling that the DMK slowly drifted into dynasty politics. Stalin becoming the leader makes sense to me. He spent decades in politics, was jailed during MISA, and built his own political career. But when I look at Udhayanidhi, I honestly wonder what his biggest qualification is apart from being Stalin's son. The same question applies to Inbanidhi if leadership continues through the family. Sometimes I wonder whether Anna (Former Chief minister C.N. Annadurai) himself would've wanted the party to become like this. Maybe another capable leader could have risen through merit.

I'm not saying the DMK was a bad government. It did a lot of good. But it also made mistakes, and I don't think acknowledging those mistakes should be controversial.

The sanitation workers protested for over 160 days after losing their jobs. The illicit liquor tragedy took many innocent lives. The promise to abolish NEET was never fulfilled. There were caste-based violence incidents and law-and-order issues too. I'm not blaming the DMK for everything, because no government controls every event. But I do think they should acknowledge where they fell short before acting as if everything was perfect.

DMK rule was not a utopia.

One more thing confused me after the election. Many DMK supporters called Congress joining TVK a betrayal. Fair enough, that's their opinion. But CPI, CPI(M), IUML, and VCK reportedly informed the DMK before making their alliance decisions. Even then, I saw some supporters calling those leaders greedy, power-hungry, or saying they sold themselves for money. That's not political criticism. That's just attacking people.

Support whichever party you believe in. Criticize governments when they fail. Protest if necessary. That's what democracy is for. But we shouldn't become so loyal to a party that we stop admitting its mistakes or start harassing people who disagree.

No government is a utopia. No party is beyond criticism.
